we don't have "chairs" exactly...
like, we do, we just don't SAY we do
so technically, i'm first chair bass clarinet haha

I play the flute. 6th chair out of nine. It was suppose to be ten flutes but one of the flutes got to be an oboe player.

Alto sax, 1st Chair, saxophone section leader. I play Bari in jazz band next year, but I'm 1st chair & soloist alto this year in jazz, too.

I am flute fourth chair. A freshman made first who has been taking flute lessons since she was like in third grade. So I don't technically think that is fair. I live in a very poor town and she just moved here. HOE! lol. but we have only three tubas and we have seventeen flutes!

none of my bands have chairs but everyone goes by chairs
Symphonic Band Clarinet 1st out of 6
Beginning Band Trumpet 2nd out of 5(in our period) 3rd out of 8(both beginning bands)
Jazz Band Trumpet 2nd out of 2
Albuquerque Junior Symphony Clarinet 1st out of 2
District VII Honor Band Clarinet 1st out of 11
You want the orchestra ones?
Summer Orchestra String Bass 1st out of 1
Volunteer cello sessions with friends last out of however many people there are (2-5)
Chorus
Youth chorus harmony parts (the harmony parts are f***ing hard)
