Knowing that moving a house to a new location costs 2000 gold, maybe. It all depends on what the majority of active guild members wish to do.
And I think it may be a long time before there are Gambino and Durem towns to take over. For now, I stay with this first enclave.

Hmm... lets see here.
Haven't updated my house since I first got it.
Can never get the town flash to load.
Really don't give a damn about this.
Yeah, no house in Gaia Towns for me right now.

Sorry to hear about the woes NeoBlue.
In other news, shovels have been released. Rina's Flower Shoppe is where you buy them (100g a shovel). Want to know where the Flower Shoppe is? Look immediately to the left of the Link List Building, below the derelict ruins of the personal building.
Flower digging acts alot like trash collecting: The flowers on the areas you see, everyone sees. Remember to set your avatar to gardening mode.
