"OOh, I feel so horribly for you!" she said chuckling lightly, "Gina!" she said suddenly, "I haven't seen you all day! Where have you been?" she asked her roommate Gina Bell.
"Oh, you know...bathroom...boys, classrooms..." Emma, getting the gist of the conversation, signaled that she'd heard enough, "Who's the cute boy." she asked nonchalantly.
"You think he's cute?" she asked disgustedly.
"Yeah. I take it you don't like him?" Emma nodded in confirmation, "Ooh! Can I have him then!" Emma snorted before nodding.

"I would love to have you. Another friend wouldn't be bad. I already seem to have an enemy," Sterling looked at Emma, "Of course, a friend like you might become a bit more than just a friend. Your kinda cute too." Sterling smiled at Gina. John made a gagging noise.

Emma snorted and Gina smiled at him looking pleased. "While you to flirt, I'm gonna go talk cough*rant*cough to John. See you later!" her voice was falsely bright as she skipped lightly to the mindreader who probably knew what she wanted.

John looked in Emma's direction, not really caring enough to try to try to sort her thoughts out from everyone else's.
Sterling took another bite of salad, "Hey, how come there's no tables around here?" He asked nonchalantly.
((you wanna take control of John, and I of Gina, or make it more interesting and try to hold two conversations with each other and keep you with gina and me with John?))

"Because, they think tables are..." Gina paused, not really knowing why they didn't use tables, "Stupid!" she finished lamely and giggling girlishly.

I guess he didn't think I would notice, but I did. He was talking to himself about how he would apologize for something he did to you." John said, trying to eat a tough part of his chicken wing.
"Magic isn't that descriptive, but whatever, I'll ask John about it," Sterling said, noticing that Gina was losing interest, "So, what do you like to do for fun?"

"That's prejudice, and you know it. There's no point in holding a grudge for something like that. How do you know he wouldn't want to be friends with you if he wasn't popular?" John said, suddenly angry that Emma would be so stupid.
"Oh, well what do you do if they flirt back? Do you go somewhere and have fun in other ways?"Sterling asked, trying to be funny.

"Whatever, but I still think that it's a stupid grudge," John said, trying to be nice while also telling his crush the truth. He was glad the she couldn't read minds, for fear that she would know his hidden feelings.
"Gotcha," Sterling tried not to smile, but he couldn't help it. He wasn't actually thinking that they went somewhere to have 'fun.'

"Uh huh," Emma said sarcastically. She was starting to look at him differently. John had always been kinda shunned because he was the mind reader. She didn't care much, she just did it because everybody else did it. Now she was sort of seeing him differently. And he was kinda cute. Crap Emma thought, Now he knows I just thought that. Damn! "You heard that right?"
Gina giggled, "And what do girls like me normally say?" she asked snuggling in closer.
