Melphina immediately felt bad about interupting once Mr. Harbor gave her that confused look like he didn't know what was going on around him. "I was just wondering if I was here on the right day or something...," she answered him quietly, "You know, since, like not a lot or people are here including most of my section and such..."
She sighed inwardly and paused a bit. "Um," she said rather nervously. It was kind of awkward talking to Mr. Harbor sometimes. "Also, would you like me to help you pass out the music? I'm always up to help, sir!" She smiled at him warmly.

Addie-Rose was up an hour early, dragging her feet around her house as she went through her normal routine. Coffee first, then bagel, then teeth, then clothes, then... where's my phone?!?!?!, Addie thought, nearly having a heart attack. Coffee in hand and her bag thrown over her shoulder, she rushed around, searching for her little black cell phone that she always lost. Moving around papers and dishes and god knows what else, she finally found in buried in the middle of a stack of newspapers, thankfully attached to it's charger. Living with her Dad meant having difficulty finding things. Grabbing her phone she dashed out of her house, still half an hour early despite her phone predicament.
The beat up black mazda that had once belonged to her brother pulled up in her normal parking spot near a side entrance that she had acquired a key to and which led straight into the band hall. Unlocking the door, she walked in slowly, shouting a bright goodmorning to everyone she passed before dropping her stuff in a chair in the back and walking over to Leonard. "Morning Leo." she said cheerfully.

  "This is the right day, don't worry," Mr. Harbor said, composing himself. There were times when he was just out of it, not because of anything in particular though. "If you could help me that would be great," He said to her after a second. He flipped through the stack of music and found the pile of pieces labeled "Adagio." This would be the first piece that they practiced and he had decided that they would read through it a bit before he gave them the second piece, "Gavorkna Fanfare." "If you could pass this out while I find the drill sheets for everyone that would be great," He said to Melphina. Zach decided that after sitting around for awhile that he would be social. He saw that Addie-Rose had arrived and was talking to Leonard, and that Luna was talking to another person. As he was looking around the room, Zach noticed there was a girl sitting alone at the end of one of the rows of chairs. She was holding a bass clarinet and it looked to him like she was nervous. Without waiting any longer, Zach walked over to where the girl was and said kindly, "Hey, my names Zach what's yours?"

Nathaniel shut off his cell and turned over. Wait............What time is it? Nathaniel thought, looking at the phone that just went off. Nathaniel noticed that it said 7:50. Crapohcrapohcrapohcrapohcrap. Band camp starts today. Speaking outloud to no particular person in his house he went over his checklist.
"Keys? Check. Ipod? Check. Laptop? Check. Water? Check. Cellphone? Check, wait where is it?!?!?!?!?! I'm going to be late if i don't find it." Nathaniel failed to notice that it was in front of him.
"Oh wait there it is."
After getting into his car, Nathaniel sped towards the school, avoiding all the cop hotspots. Arriving just as the clock struck 8:00, Nathaniel was relieved to see that not everyone was there, however he did notice Luna and went to strike up a conversation.
"So Luna, Drum Major this year, excited?"

"It's dagio, Gavorkna Fanfare, Psalm 42, and American Faces" She answered Marita with a smile.
"Oh, Hey Nate. What's up? Being a Drum Major is going pretty good"She smiled hopefully that this year would be the best for her.

Leonard Ashby
Leo twirled a stick in his hand lazily, the other one abondoned on the drum table, as he watched a few late-comers file in. Did this mean band was about to start? Yes!
He looked away from the door for a moment, to check the clock again, and was startled by a cheery voice much to close to his ear. He looked at the bright blonde head below him, confused for a moment, then smiled. "Hi, Addie. When d`you think we`re gonna get our music? I`m really hoping it`ll be better than last years`." He said, much more composed now that he had placed the voice.
He went back to spinning the drumstick he had in his hand, and glanced around the band hall. It looked like cliques were starting to form; more people were finding their friends and sections. Restlessly, he started drumming on the soft plastic of the drum table, his blonde hair running into his eyes again. Amanda Jones
Lost in her own little world, her reed sticking out of her mouth as she polished her bass clarinet for lack of anything else to do, Zach`s voice was a shock. She jumped a foot in the air, almost, but not quite, biting into her reed. Years of doing this had taught her better, thankfully.
She took her reed out of her mouth and looked at it, then up at the boy who had talked to her. "You could`ve warned me." She said jokingly, putting it in it`s safe mouthpiece. "And my name`s Amanda, Zach. I`m new here, by the way. You don`t go around scaring little wood-wind girls out of their minds all the time, do you? Think of all the broken reeds." She grinned up at him, her eyes twinkling a bit. While she didn`t like talking to people, when she got going, she could be a real talker.

"Where else would I have my fun, if not from scaring little wood-wind girls?" He jokingly asked back. Zach looked at the bass clarinet Amanda was holding and admired it. It looked as if it were in prestine condition and the polishing she was doing to it added to the effect. "Where did you move from Amanda?" He asked, after he had looked long enough at the bass clarinet.

Marita tried to see if she remembered how those songs sounded like but she couldn't as she probably had never heard them before or maybe she has but didn't remember the name. "Sounds fun to play" She said trying to sound as optimistically as she could. Once Nathaniel came up to them she wanted to join the conversation but was to shy to say anything so she just sat there and listened to them speak.
(( Hey mind if I call Nathaniel Nano? It just seems natural to me to type that as whenever I refer to the 11th grade tubaist named Nathaniel at our school I call him Nano since for some reason that's his nickname XD ))

Nate smiled as the girl blushed, he thought it was kinda funny. "No need to be scared Marita, I don't bite........Hard." From this Nate let a a joyous laugh. Maybe this will be a good year.Nate thought to himself. "Hey Luna, I heard you mention Psalm 42, That is a great tune. Oh and Marita, Just think of me as a big brother, Many other people do."
((Oh and Sayian Warrior, It is fine if you want to call me Nano, I love goofy nicknames. Mine at school is Lenny.))

Marita laughed at him as he couldn't stop from laughing. She smiled. "Yeah you're right!" She agreed. "Maybe band this year will be better than I thought......" She thought with a huge and warm smile.

"This will be a fun year. Just you wait and see. Mind if i sit?" Nate asked, indicating the chair next to Marita.
After sitting alone in silence for long enough, Kall closed his binder and decided to ba a little social. Noticing Nate talking with one of the new girls, Kall decided to go introduce himself. "Hello, I'm Kall, You have already met my other half Luna, so to speak, I am the second Drum Major for this year. Don't be intimidated, I really a nice guy."
