Vincent: *looks at both of them on a building*...

Sephiroth stopped in mid-walk, before walking back to her. "I know why he left you alone at night, Bella. He did so because... he started to lose control of the experiments. He didn't want to put you in harm's way. The little emotion he shows, the aggression, it's from that experiment.

"Only you can bring back his old emotions. When you two were dating, despite him leaving, his emotions were strong. The experiments, as they slipped from his control, they destroyed his old emotions," he explained. A faint smile appeared on his face as he embraced Bella. "Bella... I'll always be here for you. But both of us have to be their for him as well. He needs both of us.

"You to bring up his memories and old emotions, and myself to be there as his motivation. He looked up to me as a hero to him, and when I went insane... a part of him died that day, the part of him that held his dreams close at heart. If we're not there for him... either he could be stuck as a pseudo-Bahamut... or the strain of the fighting the experiments could kill him."

"I do... but I don't think it would work. And... I'm afraid of what could happen," Sephiroth stated. He looked down at the ground as his black angel wing revealed itself and wrapped around the two. "What if something were to happen? If you were... pregnant. The child... would be hated, regarded as a monster like I was... like I am."

As the scarlet-haired man walked towards the door of the bar, he fell to his knees, his hands upon the ground. "Not... not this again!"

"It's... it's this experiment that Hojo performed on me nine years ago. I was... in a coma for six months, during the Wutai War after I was ambushed by Wutai soldiers," Blaze began to explain. He attempted to stand back up, but found himself unable to, his body shaking. "Hojo went to Lazard and requested to perform experiments on me, but was denied. Hojo went to President Shinra and had the president override the rejection.

"While I was in that coma... Hojo infused energies from the Bahamut summon Materia into my genetic structure. As a result... during times of stress, I would become some sort of... dragon," he continued. A sigh escaped his form. "When Bella and I dated... I would have to leave her alone, as the experiments would begin to slip out of my control. The experiments created a second personality, a more aggressive one. I did it to protect her, as when I was out of control... I could be a lot like Bahamut, incredibly destructive. The reason... the reason I seem so emotionless is because these damned experiments destroyed my other emotions besides aggression, anger and hatred."

"Right now... perhaps it would be better if we just stayed friends, to avoid causing tension within everyone. Us being together... could be the catalyst for Blaze to lose everything to Hojo's experimentations," Sephiroth sadly answered. He looked at Bella, his eyes gleaming in a melancholy light. "I want us to be together, but now isn't the best time for this Bella. If Blaze were to find another, it would be alright, but that is slim. What with Yuffie chasing after Vincent all the time, and Tifa with Cloud..."

"Even in times of calm... it's been surfacing for a while now. It's a sign that... it's close to getting completely out of my control, with no chance of regaining control. If that were to happen... there would be two results. I would be stuck as a pseudo-Bahamut for eternity, or... the strain from fighting the experiments for so long... would come back to haunt me, and kill me," he answered. His breathing and voice sounded pained.

"I'm glad you understand. We should head back though. The sooner we get back to help Blaze regain his emotions the better," Sephiroth stated.

As the duo approached the bar, he removed his hand from Bella's. "It could've been disastrous if he saw that."

Unfortunately, Blaze had indeed seen Sephiroth remove his hand from Bella's. His body became rigid, freezing up on the spot. The last shred of his sanity snapped. The man bolted out of the bar, and just as he reached Bella and Sephiroth, he leaped over the two and continued in his sprint down the streets of Edge. His mind raced, his heart pounded...

"Stay away!" Blaze shouted. He looked back at Bella on her motorcycle before leaping into the air, the transformation beginning all over again. "I'm losing control... I can't... I can't be around people. I'll only harm them. I'll only harm you. I have to leave Edge... and I can't come back!" The leathery wings sprouted from his back as he gained height.
