Fortunately for Koda, the guard assigned to bathe him wasn't quite as much of a jerk as the guy in charge. Also, he'd apparently had Pokemon for friends in the past. "Heh heh, sorry, pup, I tried to hurry." He chuckled a bit, brushing out the Arcanine's fur. He didn't have any towels handy, but the brushing would serve a double purpose; straightening and detangling the Arcanine's long fur, as well as wringing out most of the water. By the time he was done, Koda was still damp, but the sun and air would finish drying him soon enough. Of course, he was still soaked from Koda's shaking...but ah well.
He turned for a moment, watching Ginny. He'd heard stories about the Pokemon, mostly from lab techs...but she didn't seem so violent right now. Probably just a misunderstanding...he wasn't personally fond of the techs himself. "You know, you're not supposed to eat that stuff," he chuckled, turning the hose on low and holding it out for Ginny to drink and rinse out her mouth if she wished. "Doesn't taste too good does it?" He smiled, then held up a brush. "You're rather fluffy as well. You need a brush down like your friend here?" He nodded back over his shoulder at the Arcanine.

I splashed my paw in the mud as the human umm brushed out koda He seemed to be a nice human for he was not yelling at koda but being nice. The human was right the stuff tasted bad why did i try it ooh yeah because it smelling yummy. Why did the human wash me with stuff that smelled so good but tasted worse than some of the stuff the lab tecs gave me. I saw the water and I first stuck my paw into the water. My paw came back unharmed. so I drank some of the water The bad taste left my mouth.
I blinked my red eyes wondering what he meant by fluffy. I had herd other Pokemon called fluffy but not me. The brushing did not seem to hurt Koda I think I could sit though being brushed out it was getting cold being wet and my fur around my lower body was all tangled up.
"Ok you can brush me." I nooded my head and hopped over to human,

Koda: *He calms and lightens up a little as the human brushes his fur. At last he is golden, shiny, and well groomed. As his cleaner person turns away to brush Ginny it encourages his idea that humans weren't mean at all. They just hated dirty pets making their homes all messy.
He walked over to Ginny and licked her head very gently where the bruise was, whining pleadingly at the human. Would he give Ginny a band aid after the brushing or at least be careful not to touch the bruise? At the very least he wanted to show the human.*

Of course, the human couldn't understand a word of Poke Speech, so he just smiled. "I'll assume that means 'okay' then." Chuckling, he started brushing out the oddly-colored Buneary's fur, leaning back in puzzlement at the Arcanine's actions a moment later.
"What is it, buddy? Something wrong?" Curious, he leaned down after Koda stepped back, wondering what it was the canine wanted him to see. He reached up, brushing aside some of Ginny's fur before he saw a slightly darkened spot. "Ah, I see. Got a little bump in the chaos, did ya, little one?" He looked the area over a bit, being careful. "Well, it doesn't look too bad. Just be careful not to touch it or hit it again and you'll be alright."
He took care in brushing the fur on Ginny's head before going back to finish the rest of her fur. He paused once to respond to his superior, shouting at him to hurry up 'cause they were taking the rest of the Pokemon back to their rooms. "It's alright, sir, I can handle these two. They're still a bit wet to go back." At his hesitation, he added, "They'll just drip all over the floor at this rate..."
"Fine. The guards are on duty as usual anyway. Just hurry up when they're dry alright!?" He stalked off, obviously more concerned with getting back inside and likely getting off-duty soon.
The kind-hearted guard chuckled, turning his attention back to Ginny's fur while finishing up. "Now, where were we?"

Koda watched proudly, pleased that he had let the kind master know of Ginny's boo boo. He knew faithfully that the guard would be gentle now, he wagged his tail slowly. He was out of the water now and drying off, thanks to the brushing. The pain of the dreaded bath was over. Blue eyes held nothing but pure trust, although he still watched over his friend none the less. The other pokemon and human masters left. He had heard the word 'room.' That meant he'd be alone again, right? How long until he could come out again? He hated his room, it didn't have anyone to play with in there. He yawned, oh well... he was tired enough for a quick nap. He felt joy at the kindness of his new masters. They let him eat at tables and sleep in warm comfy beds. His previous trainer had never allowed that. He waited patiently for the man to finish grooming Ginny. Masters were angry at him, but this one seemed not-so-mad. Koda forgave him for giving him a bath.
