Well, that WAS interesting! And the end certainly was open for interpretation...Makes you wonder if it was just an homage or perhaps a continuation is in order. Either way, I really enjoyed it, even if BW isn't my favorite, each episode is never just filler. (:

The episode was rather interesting . . . showing character development for Sentinel- which I hadn't expected! I mean, yeah he is still a jerk, but he apologized to Optimus for taking them to the planet in the first place, and gave voice to having never forgiven him for leaving Elita-1 behind. I found that growth refreshing.
I also liked bits of Wasp/Waspinator. For instance when he faced the chamber, he managed a very concise sentence at the open door. "No, thank you." That was great! xd Then again with the development when BB apologized and he said the line "Wasp forgive you . . . " in his old voice, and continued to say " . . . Waspinator never forgive!" That shows he considers himself new and different. It also shows that the Autobot he was forgives BB, but the Predacon/Decepticon he is now refuses to.
As for easter eggs, I noted not only how similar those pods were to the ones from The Fly, but that the tones from BlackArachnia's panel were the tones used in the Close Encounters of the Third Kind film. 4laugh

The Animated Waspinator tries to incorporate both the nasal 'Wasp' voice and a gravelly aspect for his more powered form. Unfortunately, the combination is a bit difficult to understand. sweatdrop
As for Sentinel Prime, I am not excusing him-- merely saying it is nice to see him develop just a little bit beyond the high school jock jerk.

I agree it was good to see some development for Sentinel even if that development just reinforced what a loathesome individual he really is.
I have mixed feelings about the episode over all. I enjoyed parts of it (esp the Beast Wars shout out at the end) but at the same time parts of it just felt off and forced.

I did and I only hope that this two parter gives us just as many fun moments to play with as the G1 ep where something similar happened.

sweatdrop I just posted a link in the main forum to it . . . hopefully it isn't a problem. Still, I really enjoy the new Sari. She isn't annoying and whiny!

I have to say it'll be an interesting one. Personally, I thought she was cuter looking as a little kid. But it's not a bad idea putting at least some age on her character, though. Either way, welcome back, Sari! Though she kinda just. Appeared again. I suppose we are lead to believe she'd been recovering and such. Can't wait to see how this one unfurls. I don't suppose your link'd be a problem either. I guess the more people that have the link, the less likely they'll be spoilerized upon landing here. xd

The more I think about this the more I"m convinced this two parter could be really good or really bad.
I really hope this isn't an all just a dream set of episodes while Soundwave tries to brainwash them or something.

I have seen a bit of background artwork that makes me think that Soundwave spiked the oil nog to knock the Autobots out . . . and put them in a simulation for their minds. Still, I can't say with 100% certainty.

...They don't really look anything alike... I have Brave Max and Metroplex in my living room. (Brave Maximus is a repaint of Fortress Maximus from Car Robots)
