"Perhaps. I don't know if she'll go along with it." Yugure said tilting his head, "She'd probably just run right off on me." He sighed and shook his head. "Hm.... We've talk about me and my family but not about yours. What's your family like?"

Turning her head to the side Starla shrugged her shoulders. "I don't have a family. I was abandoned as a pup and have taken care of myself ever since." She really didn't think much of it. What little she remembered of her parents wasn't the best. Her mother never took care of her and her siblings and her father was cruel.

Yugure looked at Starla seriously for a moment. "Sorry to hear that. And even more so for bringing it up." He said standing up, "Anything else you want to talk about?" He stretched and then moved away from the tree he had run into earlier.

"Its not a problem. I may one day tell you the story but for now we'll drop the subject." Smiling Starla felt suddenly playful and watching as the male had his back to her she pounced beside him. "Want to play Yugure?" In a bowing position she wagged her tail much like a pup and growled softly in a playful manner hoping to entice the puppy within her blue friend.

Yugure nodded while not looking back at Starla. He was focused on moving over towards another tree that has a berry bush next to it. He didn't get far when Starla pounced next to him. He jumped up in surprise. "What in the world are you doing!?" He shouted. She had startled him and almost made him suspicious again. However her playfulness was making him wonder about her. Did she think she was a puppy.... or in that matter did she think he was a puppy? He certainly hoped not. So he ended up staring at her like she was an idiot for a moment before fluttering his wings in annoyance. "Do I look like the type to just randomly start....." He said reaching out a quickly placing a paw on her and then darting off, "You're IT!"

She had smiled and almost laughed at his shock...that was until he shouted. Trying to keep her disappointment under control she tried to not let it affect her. Obviously she had overstepped her boundaries and miss judged their new relationship. The look he gave her made her hardly seen submissive side start coming into play and she lowered her ears slightly hoping he wouldn't lash out at her in annoyance. She had just opened her muzzle to apologize for misreading him but then she felt the paw and heard him yell and quickly she felt all hurt drain from her and a huge urge for vengeance take hold. Not true vengeance but the type that requires sweet payback usually in the form of humiliation in some way. "I don't think so!" Taking off after him she smirked. She excelled at this game and there was no way this beta was going to win on her watch!

Yugure had missed Starla's disappointment and submissiveness since he was too busy running away. He peeked back at her and laughed. "No I don't think so. You'll never catch me!" He declared racing ahead. He turned his head back around and dodged a tree. His little wings fluttered happily making him wish he could fly with them. He slowed down a bit before speeding back up. There was a fallen tree up ahead that needed to be jumped.

"Bet I will!" Laughing as well she dodged the same tree he had moments earlier, only she dashed around the other side of it trying to gain some kind of surprise as she weaved back around another tree. Noticing she gained little if any ground on him, Starla frowned slightly but shook it off and let the feel of the chase take her. The irony didn't escape her as she remembered being taught that it was usually the males job to pursue and dominate the female and yet here she was chasing him. Noticing that she was catching up to him Starla thought she might win when he once again sped up. So focused was she that Starla didn't notice the fallen tree up ahead.

Yugure shook his head and laughed under his breath as he neared the fallen tree. He leaped over it and was unable to stop himself from flapping his little wings. He landed on the other side and ran forward a few steps. He looked back towards the tree and waited for a second. "Better hurry then! I'm getting away!" He taunted.

The tree came into view when she was really too close to it and Starla made a huge effort to leap it at the last second. Putting all her power into the leap she made is successfully, for the most part. She landed perfectly on top of the tree, the only thing that went wrong was a branch that scratched along her side on the way up. The scratch wasn't too deep but it did sting a bit and a tiny trace of blood leaked from it. Trying to play it off she stood with her head held high on the tree and gazed down at the male below her. "Might want to hurry before I catch you!" Grinning brightly her eyes sparkled in laughter.

Seeing Starla jumping up and barely making it to the top of the tree almost made Yugure start running again. However he caught the scent of blood and stared at her intensely. "Might want to get yourself looked at first. You cut yourself on the tree." He said, "And don't try to deny it or play it off. I can smell the blood."

Darn. The instant he mentioned the scratch she winced slightly. Being as smart as she was she should have realized he would have smelled the blood but she had hoped he would have been too wrapped up in the game to notice such a minor smell. Sighing she hmphed in a very childish manner. "Its just a tiny scratch is all! I bet you're just saying that so once I lean down to check it out you can take off running." Now she was being the suspicious one while she believed he was being logical. It would be a clever idea indeed if he had thought of it. Leaning down Starla checked out the wound and inspected it carefully. It wasn't deep and wouldn't cause her anything more then a slight discomfort. Still she licked gently at it for a few seconds and once satisfied she whipped her head around to see if her prey had managed to escape in the few moments she had spared on her injury.

Yugure rolled his eyes and scoffed. "Like I would do that when someone is hurt, even if it's a tiny scratch." He said shaking his head, "So little faith in others." He watched her as she inspected her scratch and cleaned it. He looked at her as if to say 'satisfied' when she looked up. He then grinned and turned to run away.

When she saw he had stayed it warmed her a little and her embarrassment slightly went away. So little an act yet so nice a feeling. She'd have to meditate on it later. Right now she had a beta to catch! "Better run. Not that its going to help much!" Leaping off the fallen tree she landed near the male had been standing not seconds before and took after him. The wound in her side all but forgotten as her paws thudded against the ground.
