She watched the lioness move off, idly, and then returned her sky-blue gaze back to Wingu. Therer was an expression on his face. An odd one. One that she couldn't quite read. But it didn't look very happy and she wondered briefly if she were wearing a similar expression.

Sadness, or something akin to it.

And then he was moving towards her and in the next moment was nuzzling against her cheek. The contact, the action, took her by surprise. It was a sweet touch, innocent and yet wonderful at the same time and his words almost choked her. Yes, she'd see him again. She'd definately see him again.

Then he licked her cheek and the world seemed to blot out. She stood there, surprised, frozen to the spot. An odd warmth and nervous flutter flowing through her. She watched him, watching him start, and heard him call a goodbye.

And by the time she found words to say goodbye he was gone. Off after his mother. She blinked and drew breath - realising she'd been holding it. Then, with a soft smile she turned and headed back the way she had come. It was an odd feeling, this....this thing she couldn't put a word to. But she was determined to find out what it was. She'd ask her mother. Mother knew everything.

So, quickening her step, she hastened for home, wanting to reach the den before nightfall.
