//Hey, I'm going to have limited internet access for a while. So I'm going to excuse myself from the table for a while. ninja // EDIT:  Gossamer gave a small smile again. "Oh, lots." she replied. "Probably the biggest ones would be Spider-Man and that Sapphire Spider girl. They...." she began, but was interrupted as someone bumped into the back of her chair, nearly falling on her completely. He mumbled something to her and her eyes flashed with thunder as she shoved him back. The drunk stumbled a bit, then turned and wobbled to another table in the corner of the room. Gossamer glared at him as he walked away, then stood and pulled a small card from her top. "You'll have to escuse me....I believe that man wanted my number." she said with a slight growl in her voice. She flipped an ace of spades in her hand and made her way towards him.

//ooc: Not a problem. sweatdrop Actually I'm on vacation and I just found out that our computer is down. I'll have limited internet access too. I'll try to be on, but it just won't be everyday for about a week. Good thing Blackstone's a quiet guy.//  Blackstone glanced over at Gossamer a moment, his interest suddenly sparked the moment she mentioned Sapphire Spider. He wanted to ask her more about it, but she left before he could. He turned and stared at the table a moment, seemingly lost in thought. He then smiled a bit and glanced back up at Joker. "Actually, I'm not from either of these universes. From what I gather I arrived here the same time those new buildings have. As for heros, hm, there are quite a few. If it truely is the same one, the Sapphire Spider she just mentioned is from my world. Though she disappeared from our world months before." he replied.

(( I'm strongly considering puppeting Killer Croc in this, just for the humor of it. I just HAVE to use his story from the 'Almost Got 'Im' episode if he comes in! It's too funny! What do you guys think? Also, we'll be begining the storytime part soon, I'm just waiting for all the little wrinkles to get ironed out between our characters ))
"Really, now? Now that is interesting...", Joker mused. "Ever try killing her?" He had noticed the Ace in Gossamer's hands, and was desperately hoping Ivy had seen it, too; he loved to get shake up her tree.

"Oh, I've done more than just try to kill her....if it hadn't been for her healing abilities or that knight in shining armor of hers..." he replied, then appeared lost in though again. "It's both of them I'd like to kill. Arachnis. It's simly easier to capture her than it is him, though he always manages to come to her rescue. There have been a few times when he came too late...but it seems her healing abilities are enough to bring her back each time." Then he smiled a bit darkly. "Although the last time I had her, hmph, I didn't have to kill her to make him regret ever crossing me."

"I've never seen them before but I'm sure that I could finish them," Joker said simply. If Ivy wasn't going to talk just yet, he'll see what kind of sport this stranger, this 'Blackstone', was.

Blackstone gave him an amused grin. "You think so? Well, I don't doubt that you could capture Sapphire, but finishing her is a different matter. Arachnis, I've yet to see in this world, so I'm not sure you'd ever have the chance to meet him. Does this 'Batman' of your's have any powers?" he asked. He really didn't care that much. He knew the spider's would give this man a run for his money wether he had experience with superpowers or not. Besides, if he couldn't kill them, he doubted this clown could.

Joker replied with, "No powers, but he DOES have a seemingly infinite amount of modern technology at his disposal. Also, he's an extremely skilled martial artist. However, you seem to also have trouble with her ally. I, on the other hand, have no such issues with Batsy's allies. I've killed several myself. I've also gone out of my way to kill and injure the family of another one of his allies." Joker smiled and continued. "But that's enough about me. Let's talk about me. In this universe, my name is among the most feared on the planet. Most villains, let alone the heores, are too frightened of me to ever want to be in the same room as me. I've threatened the lives of several heroes AND villains, and sometimes, a couple of them fall by my hand, whether they were an ally of mine or not. Poison Ivy here, she's one of the few exceptions, as one of her best friends is my leading lady. Besides, she and I are at a bit of a stand-off; she and I each have our own signature poison, but she and I are both immune to poisons and toxins."

Blackstone gave him a small grin. "Trust me, I have no problem getting my hands dirty when I want someone dead. I'd simply prefer the two suffer before hand. Plus, they help keep a few of my other enemies out of my way. They had quite a group of allies as well, though thanks to Sapphire, I've reduced their number greatly." he said, then glanced down at his watch a moment and smiled. "Well, since I seem to be in the company of a celebrity of sorts, why don't I round us up a drink." he said, then glanced over at the bar. A few seconds later, a bottle and a few glasses appeared on the table in front of him. "It's on me."

"Well," Ivy purred to Blackstone, shooting a poisonous look at the Joker, "What do you know. A gentleman." She paused, smirking. "I'm only interested in water, of course, but it's the thought that counts." Her expression turned thoughtful, and she ran a hand through her hair absently. "If it comes to stories," she murmured, a smile curing around her lips once again, "I have quite a few. Batman's gadgets aren't much good against most of my babies." Of course, if there was one thing that Batman was good at, it was improvisation, but she wasn't about to mention that. "I'm curious, Joker; being Batman's arch-enemy, and all... exactly how many times have you had him completely helpless, inches away from death?" She raised an eyebrow, and the smile took on a wicked edge. "Or do you not keep track?"

"I don't, as a matter of fact, but I know it was many more times than you!" Joker didn't need to prove himself to anyone, but her doubt was a little irksome. Besides, when was the last time she killed one of Batman's precious Robins? Oh, wait that's right, NEVER.

"Water would be great," a deep, guttral voice said from the direction of the door, loud enough to catch the attention of everyone in the bar. In the doorway stood a huge monster. It walked like a person, talked like a person, but very clearly wasn't a normal person, as it was covered in green scales. The creature walked through the bar to the sound of the voice, and saw two VERY familiar faces: Poison Ivy and the Joker. he knew that neither of them sounded like that voice did, but then he saw the third person, the one sitting with them. THAT must have been him. Most of the remaining patrons had already fled at this point; first the Joker, then Poison Ivy, and now him, basically equalled enough drinking for one night for nearly the remainder of the people there. The bartender didn't say anything, though; he had better things to do, like keep breathing. He walked up to the table and sat down.
"Pamela, Joker, how goes things? What brings you all here?" He looked at the stranger and said, "I don't know you. Name's Killer Croc."

Blackstone glanced over at the doorway, though didn't seem surprised to see a human-like reptile walking through the door. He was fairly responsible for an organization that experimented on 'volunteers', a few of whom became a bit mutated as a result. Plus, living as long as he has, not much surprises you. Not exactly what he was wanting, but he wasn't one to be rude to strangers. At least to ones that didn't annoy him right off the bat. He glanced down at the table, and another glass and pitcher of water appeared. "Richard Blackstone." he replied. "I'm not from around here."
