"Ah. I see." he nodded, "Since its getting dark, you should stay at my place for the night...it's too dangerous out for a young maiden such as yourself to walk alone in the dark." Orsino winked. He realized he could also offer to walk her home...oh dear. Why hadn't he thought of that sooner? He mentally reprimanded himself. He sounded much too demanding to Valley. He was such a scatterbrain. "Er. I mean. I could always walk you home as well...you don't have to stay at my place overnight if you don't wish to."

Valley giggled and walked over to him, licking his fur lightly. "Do not worry, I know what you meant and I am not offending. And I would rather not walk in the forest at night as much as possible so I think I am going to take your offer of staying the night at your place if it still stands. Is that alright or would it cause too much of a problem?"

Orsino turned red as Valley licked him, "Alright then." he grinned, "To my dwelling we go? We should also get dinner on the way there. But - no meat. I do not eat meat." he looked at the purple fox gravely. "I do not like to eat other animals." Orsino shook the excess water from his paws.

Valley blushed. She had eaten meat in her days, normally fish but she could understand his reasonings. "I can deal with that, and if I find something I like, then I do not have to eat meat anymore." she said, trying to say that she could change her ways for him as she liked him and did not want to make him feel uncomfortable or see her as a bad fox.

"A-ah." had he sounded too demanding? "No! No! I mean if you like meat then you are more than welcome to eat it! I-I do not mind!" Orsino inwardly sighed. He didn't really have the social skills to talk with other females that comfortably. He felt horrible that he had forced Valley to change her ways. If she was used to it, then he would not mind. "I will not be angry if you eat meat in front of me! Of course not!" Orsino shook his paws rapidly.

Valley looked taken aback. "No it is not a problem. I always felt bad about eating me but wasn't sure what else to eat as all the other foxes eat fish. I am perfectly willing to try something new and see if I like it. Do not feel as if you are forcing me to change my ways. I have wanted to change that particular aspect for a while just wasn't sure how." Valley gave him a smile.

Orsino nodded, "Oh. I see. Well, I just gather berries and some roots and I eat those. Just gotta clean the roots to get all the dirt off." he smiled again, "Sometimes if your not careful, the root could be a rock. I've almost broken my teeth that way." He looked to the distance. "Shall we go now?"

Valley gave him a big smile. "I am surprised that I have not thought much of trying berries before. Besides, it is good to embrace new things. And yes, we should go now as the sun is sinking quite quickly and I really am not fond of the dark." Valley explained as she sidle next to and stuck close, a little nervously.

Orsino chuckled, "If you ever get scared my dear, you can always cling to me." he joked. "I enjoy making new types of food. It's very exciting to see what it would taste like." he entered the woods, "My home isn't that deep in the woods, its pretty close by..."

Valley gave him a greatful smile and stuck close to him. "For that I am glad," she said as she began to follow him into the forest. She hoped his definition of not far did not vary so much compared to hers and she would hate being in the forest and being unable to see.

He walked for five minutes in silence not knowing what to say. Orsino just decided that he would say something when they got there. A few moments later, they came upon a small crevasse underneath a large and old tree neatly surrounded with small rocks of all shapes and colors. "Well...here we are. This is my home." he looked to Valley for her approval.

Valley looked at the cave like structure and smiled. "It looks homely and well made," she said as she entered the structure. "Did you create this by yourself? Or did you just find this place? It seems like something nature would create and be too difficult for foxes like us but it is amazing." she went on.

"I've lived here ever since I was born, actually. My parents lived here when they first met. The rocks surrounding the tree was my mother's idea. She liked colorful things." he smiled fondly at the memory as he looked quickly around the den. It was small, but it was large enough to fit at least two more foxes of their size. Off to the corner was a slightly messy pile of dried grass and down that served as his bed. Orsino quickly walked over to it gathering it up neatly. He didn't Valley to think he was a dirty fox. He really wasn't - he just never made his bed.
"You must be hungry. I make a mean salad." he grinned, "You're gonna love it."

Valley gave him a bright smile. "You do not need to clean up for me. I am an unexpected guest. And I will try this said salad. Should be an interesting experience for me." She settled herself in a corner of the den and lay down, resting her head on her front paws as she watched him work around her. "Please, just tell me if you need any help."

Orsino shook his head, "There is no need for the guest to help - especially if she is a princess." he winked. He picked up a small cloth and spoke through the side of his mouth, "If you'll excuse me for a moment, I need to step outside to gather some of the materials. The fresher the better." His large black tail swished from side to side as he walked through the opening. Luckily, his parents had chosen a nice location surrounded by many types of berries and roots. 'Blueberries or raspberries?' he thought. What would a fox like Valley prefer? Shrugging to himself he gathered both of each. Orsino walked around a little more picking other types of vegetation.
