After the long silence between him and the dragon, Ist'lyn finally looked him in the eyes and spoke again. "Any idea as to when our Matron returns?" He asked, a truthful tone to his voice. "I mean, it's not like I'm nervous or anything but the well being of the matron should be first priority should it not?" He added to cut off any reasons to his curiousities.

"matron be fine she survived 200 years on surface" he said simply looking at the drow. the drow did not obviously understand why she this was a new house or why she was going out alone, for it was mainly a show of power and that no one could touch the matron. for him there fight is why he is here. ad why he shows her the respect that he does.

"I see. Now that is impressive." He admitted. "For more impressive than my 100 here in the Underground cities without a house...Yes, she is deffinatly one worthing protecting." He stated moreso as a note to himself. He looked up from his feet for a moment and stared directly into the eyes of the dragon. "Well, it has been quite the pleasure meeting with you. However, I must be off, I need to arrange a few things, get this Qu'ellar in a stronger shape to match the great power hidden behind these walls. Traps to be set and troops to be trained. So if you'll excuse me, I'll be off." He stated with a deep and trully respectful bow as he had also removed his eye contact with the dragon at the very lowest section of his bow.
Ist'lyn stood tall, turned, flipped the hood back over his head and left the great room. His first destination was the training hall to see how many spent their time there.
Once in the training hall he notice a lot of troops, four were sparring, five would practice alone, and fifteen held lessons to each other over the uses of each weapon and which strategy worked best. Ist'lyn sat back and watched. He wanted to know everything about these troops before he would get started.
He noticed one use the silent code to announce this new arrival. They, thinking him a new recruite, stood and approached, cold smiles were splayed over their faces for most were taller than he and looked to be better armed. Ist'lyn laughed within his own mind and waited, his arms crossed.
"Greetings, troops, how goest the senslessness?" He asked coldly, confidently. The obvious leader of this ground laughed and bent low to reach his level. "You have a bold tongue, I see our leaders have not cut it out yet." "You will address the heirs and matron propperly, or you will lose more than a tongue." Came his instant reply, venom dripping from his mouth in the form of a cruel smirk and drooling lips for he wished for a fight, one that would show these pathetic troops their worth.
The leader scowled at him, his arm twitching for his eager blade. "Do you know who you speak to?" He asked but answered before Ist'lyn could. "I am Raz'ak, captain of the outer wall deffence force." "Then you are obviously not doing your job." The frustrated guard whipped out his sword and dirk, Ist'lyn already had his weapons out before the guard gripped his own.
With clangs and screeches from metal on metal, Ist'lyn had their "leader" hard pressed. He went through three complicated attack routines that forced the feeble deffences of his opponent to crack. He stepped back, smiling cruelly he offered the guard the next strike.
He came at him in an obvious pattern, sword first then dirk, followed immediatly by the dirk again. Ist'lyn smacked the weapons wide then went for a wide arching swing when he noticed that his opponent used this as a ploy. He went with it and flipped his swords so that the edge face away from the attacker. Thinking he meant for a reverse swing he changed his pattern but then learned of his folly immediatly as Ist'lyn swung the reversed edge of his curved swords at the enemy's side, the ribbed spikes, meant for tearing the flesh as he slit a throat, stabbed into the guard, drawing blood.
Ist'lyn looked up to see that one other guard had lunged over the first, his scimitar poised to strike at Ist'lyn's face. He lunged at the blade and at the last second rolled under it, the tip of his right sword nearly hitting the tip of the scimitar, but twisted above it and sliced the cheek and ear of the lunging opponent. Ist'lyn stepped back then sheathed his weapons, nodded then turned away. "I see, you lack the dicipline to keep calm when in a fight...From this moment on, I'm teaching all of you!" He called so that everyone could hear. "You will learn to keep your head cool, learn to use stealth but not rely on it. To catch a stealth unit sneaking through here, I was able to make my way into the throne room and get into a position that would have threatened the matron's very life had I been of some other house without being seen once! I don't want that happening again...ever!

Ist'lyn noticed too quickly that many of the guards were not happy for his announcement and before any could pull out their hand crossbows, he summoned up a globe of darkness around him. He heard the clicks and ducked, he then pressed against the stone wall, his enchanted cloak activating and camoflauged himself so that he appeared as a piece of the wall. The globe vanished and, it appeared, so did he. Many guards made comments of him being a coward and went back to their business. The second one got too close to him he whipped around and placed a dagger at his throat. "Like I said, you need to pay attention! Maybe I should kill a few of you while none look close enough, maybe the feeling of being next will better motivate you all..."

Eventually they started to listen to his words though many seemed outraged at the idea that this newcommer, this outsider has been placed in charge of teaching them skills in melee combat. On top of that he managed to unfataly defeat the best swordsman in the training field. However, with that knowledge they listend well enough. Ist'lyn went on about the priciples of stealth and the tactics it opens up. He also gave helpful tips and tricks at the use with the sword, he even knew a surprising amount of other weapons. Almost as if he were once a noble of some other house.
Ist'lyn alone knew the truth, he had been a survivalist for 100 years in this city and has seen, much combat, far more than that of a party on patrol. Ist'lyn has learned of pole-arms when against his opponents, fist fighting was needed from himself on many occasions and thus, tought that aswell. Once he finished he instructed each person in the room to pair up and spar with their perfered weapons.
When the winners of the sparing match arrived he sent them out on patrol of the complex, while further teaching those that had lost.
Once everyone was out of the training field he made his way back to his room. This time, he encountered many more guards actually patroling rather than simply looking around with their infravision eyesight.
Once at the door to his room he looked around to make sure no one was looking before entering in his own secret fashon. He moved to his bed, lay on it and went into the deep meditation the Drow people reffered to as sleep.

The matron has just made a Speedy Return form Hun'afin. she did not like it there. there seemed to be something off and something that they where planning on exicuting. she knew that she would not want the house from there against them. and assumed they would honor there word. it was hard to have spys in here sense this was such a small house she knew every one in side and out. she looked around trying to summon the assassin, sesne as soon as she got back she leanred every one else had left on there own thing. the dragon was going to try to get drunk and get information from people who could actually get drunk alot easier. then there was her daughter who has already went away to socere. she was not sure if she liked that she had left so soon, but it was not expected for her daughter to stay doinjg nothing. VAsune just hoped her daughter would learn quickly so if she had to return to house and become the head mage that she could. she still needed one greatly. a powerful mage could be the difference between life and dead. she needed to find a few more trusted positions.
she smiled once she got home and then once she got in a room that she was the only one that could open the door. she whispered a little chant and reached in to air her hand disappeared where she had reached before she pulled out a sword. "this would have cut through the living metal if i wanted to hard him for a long time"' she whispered looking at the blade it seemed more shinny then a normal black and sparkled well. the blade it self was very Thin and sharp. it was obviously a slashing and offensive weapon nt used majorly for stabbing. it was combined with diamonds to make it self very hard so that it could be used in defense. she knew once it cut the armor it would have cut more and cut him in half or at least left a big gage. she smiled at that thought. she did not enjoy Hel'afin. she would take them out when the time was nessary but the houses as they where where good enough for her. she did not like that they had some one hiding cowardly in her blind spots. she thought it fun that they did not notice it. the matron was alway glancing there.
she held out the sword and started to Practice fighting against the air. she was getting bored and needed some sort of opponent. a mirror a thing that had a good amount of fighting skill but could not die easily, actually could never die for it was not living in the first place.

Having gotten bored just sitting in his room, Ist'lyn had been wandering the halls he his newly acuired home. When the Matron returned, he quickly made his way to her. He noticed the matron walking off with an Orc slave. He knew at once, sacrifices were commonplace here. So he sped off to the sacrificial chamber and stashed himself away in a hidden location so that both his body heat and actual body could not be found, he held his arms folded about his chest and watched carefully.
