"Can you give the phone to Kai please..." Alice asked her feet lightly kicking the pillows on her bed.

"I'm sorry. Kia isn't home right now." Yojan's voice was soft and quiet on the phone. He was nervous enough on the phone, not to mention quiet to begin with. "Shall I leave a message for him? I can tell him to call you back when he gets home."

Once again, in the park, Kia was now running for his life. He didn't know this, but this was the second time in this very park he ran from a werewolf. Of course, he didn't know it was a werewolf following him. That would be puposterous. Werewolves don't exist, right?

The shape to his left took form, lunging from the bushes and in front of the college student. With a sneer on his wolfish face, he gleefully exclaimed, "I have you now Altrist. I shall get my revenge on your for killing my family. Been four years, and I thought I had you dead then. Apparently you are harder to kill than I thought."

"Wait! I think you have the wrong person..." Kia was surprised. This was a cheep trick to play. Probably some upperclassmen thinking to give the new star a good trick. The face was remarkably well done. Must have had some kind of robotics work done with it. "I see what this is about. Alright guys, come on out. This isn't funny anymore. You can take that mask off too, whoever you are." Kia seriously thought he had this all figured out.

It wasn't until claws as long as knives glinted in the darkness. "So, your not Altrist? Well then, I'll still have the pleasure of killing you, just for looking like him." He came at Kia with a clawed hand, trying to rend an arm off of Kia.

Kia thankfully had good reflexes, which took over while his mind was in shock at the incident. He ducked under the claw, and preform a hand stand with a toss at the end to gain distance. Landing on his feet, Kia was thinking, 'If I did that all the time, I could go on the cheer squad! Wra wra!' Then it crossed his mind at the same time, 'This guy means business. He just tried to skewer me on a bunch of knifes! What kind of guy walks around with knives attached to a glove anyway?'

Taking a chance, Kia jumped back another couple of feet from the strangely attired person. "I don't know who you are, but you do not want to be messing with me right now. I'm tired, had a bad day, and want to go home. Go see your psych, you psycho."

Yojan took the number, writing it on a notepad meant for the job hanging next to the phone. "I'll make sure he gets the message." Yojan confirmed for her.

Kia was ready to turn and run at his fastest, when another costumed person seemed to trip into the larger one. He didn't get it, maybe the smaller one lost their footing in the trees and was suppose to scare him by jumping down? Did they crash together by accident?

With that gloved hand of knives, the smaller person could be hurt. Kia couldn't leave them if one was hurt. They might be pulling the greatest practical joke of all time, but if one of them died because he didn't help them, he would feel guilty for the rest of his life.

He took a step closer to the mass of fur and teeth, "Are you two alright? I think it is time you called this joke up. Either that or I'm going to call the cops and have them arrest you for assault." He still had no idea what these two were up to.

Kia was shocked when the smaller costumed person was tossed to the side, and the yelp of the larger person. It sounded almost like a dog being wounded, or kicked. With the high pitch squeal and whine. It just didn't seem natural from a human.

Then the larger were costumed freak ran away, not before taking a last lunge at Kia on his way out. Kia pressed down to the ground, falling onto his back and avoiding the large body as it passed over him. With a little rustle of a bush, he was gone.

Getting up, Kia dusted the dirt off his pants, some he had picked up at the hospital, as he went there often enough to have a few spare pairs. He wasn't about to wear bloody shorts and sleeveless around the town as he ran home.

Noticing the clumsy prankster lying near a tree trunk, Kia decided to offer a hand. "Here, let me help you up. I'm not going to hurt you, or press any charges. Besides the knives, this was a good practical joke, right down to the planing in the park." Kia was trying to take this with good grace. The events of the evening, or rather night now, was leaving him confused.

As he reached down, ne realized that she wasn't in a costume anymore, which was odd. He knew it was the same person, and swore that this person was in fact wearing a werewolf costume as delicately made as the other person. Well, it probably didn't matter anyway. Her face was covered by shadows, so he didn't recognize who it was, or if he even knew them.

"What am I?" Kia stated in return. "Don't you rather mean, what are you? Wait, your that girl from history class. Did you set up this prank? And where did your elaborate costume go?" He then looked at her and realized what she was wearing, just a simple robe.

"What are you doing out here in that? It might be warm out, but you never know who lurks in these parks at night." Kia showed real concern on his face. "Do you want me to help you get home?"

Unaware that his voice was raising to a shout, Kia responded to her, "No! I have no idea what is happening! I don't even know who I am!"

Realizing that his voice was at a shouting level, he instantly looked down, ashamed, a little blush coming to his checks. "I'm sorry, you didn't deserve to be yelled at. I'm just feeling a little... out of place." Events where progressing too quickly, and he didn't mean to yell his frustrations of the past four years at her.

"This park actually is where I was found, four years ago. That's what the emergency techs tell me. I was brought into the hospital with a sever head wound." Kia was on the edge of tears. He never told his story to anyone, at least not like this. "I'm sorry. Your not here to hear my life story. We need to get you home. Your shoulder looks like it hurts. Do you need help?" Kia once again offered his hand to her, as well as his shoulder.
