A little more than ten minutes had passed by the time they actually arrived at his front door and he fumbled the housekey out of his pocket to open it for them both.

"We probably missed the beginning, you still want to order it?" he asked her, waiting for her to step inside before him. "I mean, it was probably just previews and stuff that we missed anyway..."

And what were they going to do for dinner? For having had a few days to plan this out, he really hadn't done a good job of counting on the unexpected.

Pictures? ....oh right! Pictures!

"Yeah, I did." he said, brightening up at the notion. He didn't get to show his photography off very often, and so far she was the only one who'd shown a vested interest in looking through it. Even his mom only leafed through his binders in passing most days...but then, he supposed he didn't really photograph things most people were interested in looking at.

"I think some of them are still on the computer, but I've got most of the ones that were decent printed out and in the binder." He started in the direction of his room, motioning for Nani to follow.

"Sorry if its a little messy. I didn't get a chance to--hey!" he barked in surprise, stumbling forward a step and catching himself easily. He looked over his shoulder at Nani, trying a bit too hard to be innocent, and grinned.

"And what was -that- for?" he asked, his tail giving a flick.

He eyed her oddly for a moment as she made herself comfortable before shaking his head a little with a laugh. "Just a sec." he told her, dropping to his knees and shoving the computer chair aside from his desk to rummage beneath it for a moment, pulling out the binder dated for that year.

"The newer ones should be in the back, he said, sitting back on his haunches as he flipped through the various photos of woodsy landscapes. To the untrained eye, it would have looked like he was just photographing the same woods over and over again, but Zhane remembered where he'd been when he'd taken every shot.

Finding a more up-to-date point in the binder, he pulled himself to his feet and crossed the room to scoot up beside Nani on the mattress, splaying the photo binder open across both their laps.

"Actually, no I haven't." he admitted, turning the page. "I mean....I never thought they were anything -that- special, really, but...." He hesitated, shifting his gaze to Nani, furrowing his brow a bit. "....I dunno, do you really think I could?" he asked.

He looked back at the pages with concentration etched on his features that made him, just for a moment, look much older than he was. As she poked him though, he flinched, the look gone as quickly as it had come as he smiled again.

"I guess you're right." he relented, reaching beside him to give her belly a playful poke in return. "Maybe I'll send some to a stock photo site or something..."

"Is that a threat or a promise?" he inquired, impulsively giving her the same response he ordinarily gave his sister when threats of tickles reared their head.

He hesitated a moment, silent save for the rustle of his tail slowly lashing on the sheets behind him, and then darted his hand out, poking her again. This time in the side.

As she grappled for his hands, he scooted backward, or rather tried to, succeeding moreso in tangling himself in the blankets as she pinned him. He made a feeble attempt of wrestling his wrists back into his own possession before giving a breathless laugh, looking up at her.

"Probably stay right here." he told her. The grin that hadn't abated in the last few minutes now slipped a few notches into something a little more serene as he watched her, moving to tug one of his hands free of her grip to reach up and brush the backs of his fingers over her cheek.
