Clare watched Vladimir leap off of the edge of the cliff down into the cold valley below and walked cautiously over to the edge herself to see him down at the bottom, ready to make some kind of move. "Are you giving up so soon?" she called out tauntingly wither her hands at her mouth directing the sound right to Vladimir. She wasn't about to just go down there and fall into his pace. It seems that as long as he doesn't set the pace he will struggle to find ways to beat me... she rationalized, and walked towards her zanpakto.
She sat down cross-legged and placed the sword across her legs; almost immediately, it felt like her anxiety was fading and let her mind focus more clearly. She closed her eyes, and kept "watching" Vladimir's energy; technically, for Clare, her reiatsu sensing abilities was actually more similar to hearing than sight. There was a kind of pulse that everyone put out naturally, but it is so minute that she would have to apply a large amount of concentration to try to follow single people among groups.
Fighters were different, unique. Their pulse said so much more than the regular person. Many fighters controlled the reiatsu they emitted, meaning the "loudness" was controlled; based on the way they fight, they use reiatsu differently, and so every "frequency" was different. The "beat" of the pulse spoke to the focus of the fighter and the whisper behind the pulse hinted at what wasn't shown, the true level of reiatsu, the history, the future.
Clare sat there, focusing, ready for Vladimir's next move, "watching" him.

Valdimir snuffed at Clare before concocting a plan. Quickly he analysed the rock and noticed how crumbly it had been while he was climbing, one precisely set strike into one of the cliffs natural faults and the whole wall would drop into a pile of rubble.
Slowly Vladi cleared his mind, letting his body relax and the tension ease from his muscles. Then knowing somewhat about his reiatsu he began building a large amount up in his leg muscles, those being his calf and thigh. Like a dam, the spiritual energy built up behind a thick concrete wall and when Vladimir felt he had stored up enough his eyes bolted open and like a dam that had been set with explosives the blockage exploded into a flood of energy. Vladimir's leg shot like a bullet into the side of the cliff, all his kinetic energy being transferred into the wall and shattering it into bits. There was at least a second delay before massive chunks of the wall began crumbling off, some as large as an SUV. Not wanting to kill himself he backed out of the way before the first rock fell. Now standing in the middle of the path off the large ledge and safely away from most of the rocks he watched and waited for Clare.

Walking back to the canyon, a wet towle drapped over his sholder Oggashi hunched down on a tall cliff. After a few moments of looking he noticed one soul reaper sitting on the ground but noone else...where did the other one go.. Sitting on the edge of the cliff himself he waited, watching the lone reaper to see if anything would happen.

As Clare sat there in her meditative state, she felt a subtle change in Vladimir and then a light rumble in the rock beneath her. What was that? she thought breaking the concentration and opening her eyes. There was the sound of shifting rocks that started small and then cascaded into a large rumble as the ground beneath her began to break and collapse. "What the?" she said confused as she struggled to quickly get to her feet.
Quickly surveying the land around her, the ledge in front was quickly collapsing in on itself and creeping towards her feet, and the matching cliff wall on the other side of the ravine that Vladimir was waiting in was a good 35 feet away. On her best days her record was still only about 33 feet for the standing long jump, and this situation couldn't be considered the best by any stretch of the word. With the ground literally falling out from beneath her feet, Clare made a leap of hope to the next cliff on the opposite side. For a moment it felt like she could make it, like she was flying almost, but the jump crested too early and Clare panicked. She drew her zanpakuto and quickly muttered a word of apology for what she was about to do.
Clare hit the wall hard, but she had managed to lodge her zanpakuto into a crevice to stop her from falling with all of the rocks. Now her entire right side ached, as she hung there looking down at the crumbling cliff face. "Why would he do that? That just doesn't make much tactical sense," she whispered to himself, wondering if he got crushed under the rocks while she waited for the pain to pass a little.

As the last of the rubble pilled upon its once whole self Vladimir began scoping the pile for any sign of Clare. Carefully he brought himself up the side of the crumbling mess, placing a hand on the pile itself Vladimir sensed no reiatsu, "Damn, shes quick!" Immediately he shot his gaze elsewhere. He jumped lightly off the pile, careful not to disturb the rocks. As he landed in the ravine itself he began searching the cliff sides though without any avail.
As he strode along the dusty path, his head skyward, a noticed a slight glint off something high above and at least 800 meters off. Knowing that very little within the canyon should reflect sunlight his mind immediately jumped to Clare's zanpkuto. Is she really dumb enough to whip that thing out and flaunt it about like a signal flare? however, upon closer inspection his thoughts jumped track and now close enough to see her shape clearly he could tell she was clinging to the wall like a monkey to a tree branch. "Quit showing off and get your a** down here, I'm not done yet!" A slight chuckle erupted from his lungs and carried off into the distance as the sound waves bounced about the walls.

"Showing off?" Clare scoffed quietly. I wasn't the one to had to bring down the cliff side, she thought angrily through the pain. She saw a ledge jutting out a few yards beneath her and in a swift motion, pulled out the zanpakuto and dropped down to the ledge. It was only big enough for her to land on it with her left foot, but that was enough to stabilize herself for a moment and examine her zanpakuto. There were a good number of rough scratches along the blade and now Clare was pissed. She sheathed the sword and refastened the blade to her waist before starting her climb back down the cliff face.
At the bottom, she walked toward Vladimir in a visible rage, and said darkly, restraining herself as best she could, "That little stunt you pulled scratched up my zanpakuto. I recommend calling off this match before I really hurt you." Her air about Clare's personality was a lot darker and held a lot more anger, like something had suddenly snapped inside her. Something did in fact, and that was something going as far as damaging a sword she spent at least an hour a day polishing and sharpening. She stood there glaring at Vladimir, waiting for his decision.
((Just so you know, bad idea to attack her right now, lol))

Vladimir stood upon the ground feeling Clare's visible rage heat the air about her. (Not really) His eyes softened as he walked casually up her, eyeing her carefully making sure she was sincere about ending the match. "If that is what you wish, then that is so!" He put out his hand in a gesture "Truse?" He noted her tense muscles and the scowl on her face, she was truly enraged and for some reason this new sensation from her scared the living day lights out of Vladi.
Remembering her statement about her damaged zanpakuto he quickly assimilated an offer "Come by my apartment later and I'll assist you in rejuvinating your blade to its immaculate status. Don't worry, my grandmother was a metal worker, she made lots of things for me when I visited her around 14, she showed me how to properly fix and polish any metalic material...well just about! But truthfully I am sorry about your zanpakuto, I would kindly do anything to fix the damage I have created." Vladimir lifted his hand hoping she hadn't forgotten about the truse pact he hoped they were going to make.

Clare relaxed a little hearing that he was willing to end the match. All of that anger was still there and seething, but she wasn't about to release it all at him right now. "Truce it is. I'd recommend not bothering me for about a day or so," she warned throughtfully. She was telling the truth; right now unless they severely outranked or overpowered Clare, she would not approve of being bothered by any person.
"I am sorry. Only I am allowed to polish this blade. I won't let anyone else handle it that way. I appreciate the offer at least," she said as she started to walk off; after getting a few steps down the line she called out without looking back, "It was a fun match. Let's have another one sometime after we've both gotten stronger." Clare was glad to have someone who could match her power with in the squad and was looking forward to their next match, even if he did piss her off at the end. The further she got from that battlefield, the more the zanpakuto went back to syphoning the negative energy from her, and, by the time she was near her apartment again, she was feeling very relaxed. And rather sore.
((The next match will be really interesting since it won't be long til we both get shikai, and then it will last longer))

Vladimir simply shrugged his shoulders and walked off as well. Shes a tough one, I need to SERIOUSLY train if I hope to best her one day! As the sun beat upon his back and head he began shedding his layers. The maze that was this canyon baffled him, as sore and tired as he was the curiostity within him overpowered his physical state and forced him to trudge on.
Vladi climed wall after shear fall up to the last and tallest point within the canyon. Right about now, half way up this mount, he was hoping to just lay back and sleep and he thought he had been tired and sore before! His arms, slicked with sweat and red from the UV rays that relentlessly pounded his bare skin made him want to just release hi grip from the rough, sand-papery rocks but that thought was quickly dismissed as he reasserted his current position.
With his clothes now soaked through with his salty sweat and amonia he doffed everything but his running shorts. The rest of his attire had been tossed to the wind and his only companion was Ancient Scalpel.
Now standing atop the highest point within the canyon, a cool dry breeze whipped through his wet, blistering body. He closed his eyes and did a quick breathing exercise to slow his heightened heart rate. Slowly as his body and mind calmed he lifted up his eye lids and peered out into the canyon. Vladimir could now see the entire path he'd walked and all the walls he'd climbed, if he had seen the feat before even considering doing the act he would have immediately dismissed it but after noting its completion his face beamed with an odd expression of accomplisment.
His last task for the day was to drop back down into the ravine and waltze to the springs where a much needed bath would be awaiting him.

Zaine entered the masssive, awe inspiring Canyon nestled on edge of the Sereitei. "Impressive place they got here, though the heat is a bit on the strong side." he said the last part with a hint of a smile, "Though it is a dry heat so its not too bad." he continued to himself, removing his cloak and stowing it in a nearby niche provided by the natural formation of the stones within the canyon, without the cloak Zaine was revealed to be in excellent shape, however, ones eyes would surely be drawn to the pair of scars he possesed upon each shoulder, each looked to be caused by massive jaws, and if one was an expert at such things, they would be able to note that the bites appeared to be lupine in orgin, the left being only slightly smaller than the right. Running across his chest was a strap that was home to Zaine's zanpakuto, a large, twinbladed sword that seemed to impeed his movement barely if at all, shining brilliantly in the blazing sun was the cross that the Shinigami was known to never be without, its obsidian and ivory crescent moons framing and intersecting the trunk of the silver cross. "Now where is Bull Taicho?" he pondered aloud, his crimson flecked, golden eyes alight with life and an indomidable spirit, shaking a few hairs from his face the Unseated member of the Tenth Division took a seat upon a nearby stone and awaited the man who was the master of this Canyon and Squad.

Fighting in such heat was second nature for such a man. The Seventh Squad's Captain trudged his way through the crags and crevices of the canyon. The shade from the sun helped the Shinigami Captain clear his head as he made his way towards the only other spiritual pressure in the area. He didn't want things to get too hot too early.
Katsurou Bullene had forgone a haori in such an atmosphere. As he shook some sweat from his hair, he leaped up onto one of the Hoodoo's. Digging his fingers and feet into the rock, Bull climbed his way to its tip. Gaining his footing, Bull was able to view the entire area.
Vistas of undisturbed nature passed by the Captain's visage as he searched for Zaine, who would contrast the orange rock.
"You see," The Captain said suddenly, appearing atop a rock near the Squad 10 Member. "You may be able to say that I am-" Without stopping, Bullene reappeared on the ground beside Zaine. "Everywhere..."
Bull focused for a moment. A surge of determination flowed through him as his right fist shot out at the boulder which elevated Zaine. The hunk of mineral shot off into the distance while Zaine's inertia caused him to remain at rest. Of course, that meant the Unseated Shinigami was floating midair.
"Please tell me you are ready," Bullene said calmly to Zaine. Squad 7 Captain Bullene Katsurou

Zaine turned without a hint of surprise to the sudden appearence of the Seventh Division Captain, smiling wryly he replied, "I see your point." he said politly, bowing his head in respect just as he was launched into the sky."Whenever you are Taicho! By the way, My name is Zaine Tsukioma, Unseated member of the Tenth Division, its an honor to meet you!" he exclaimed excitedly, a grin wide on his face as he leapt from the stone and landed softly in front of the Captain, softening his descent with a small pulse of reiatsu from the soles of his feet. Assuming a defensive stance the young man did not draw the blade from his back, nodding his readyness he awaited Bull's response.

"Well, Zaine," Bullene replied. "The honor is mine." The captain extended his arms behind him, grabbing hands. His shoulders made a popping noise. Unclasping his hands, he brought his arms forward, this time cracking his elbows as he popped each knuckle on his hands.
Bull arched his body backwards. He hid his smile as he tensed his legs. Bullene's right foot whooshed past Zaine's left ear, unguarded. Bullene's body flipped backwards, landing in the same posture, his left leg following his right.
"The problem is," He said with a devilish smile. "This fight would be over in seconds if I began." Bullene straightened his body. "I would like to invite you to lead in this tango." Bullene required no defensive stance at the moment. "Please, begin." He said calmly. Squad 7 Captain Bullene Katsurou

Zaine's eyes moved to Bull's leg with a sly bemusement. "I see Taicho" he said with a chuckle as the man backflipped and reassumed a neutral stance, telling him that it was better for him to start.
Zaine grinned wryly, "Ok Taicho I suppose you do have a point, Ill start this dance off then." While saying this, he had burst into a sprint at Bull, leaping into the air and with a small burst of reiatsu went into a fierce spin, lashing out with his right leg he attempted to hit the upper torso of the captain.
