True, but if Hasbro for some reason said no Sunstreaker, then Bay couldn't do much about it. I'd at least make sure I knew what level the decision came from before getting pissed at somebody in particular.
What we've got here is a classic "too many cooks" scenario.
Of course, somebody is bound to ask this question next time Bay appears before the fans, so we'll probably eventually know the proper party to be pissed at. 3nodding

Movie toys have started hitting shelves here in Cleveland, be on the lookout.
I'm LOVING the basics. Ransack is proof that somebody on the design staff loves us, I mean, a biplane? I haven't seen an alt mode so awesomely out of left field since Battle Unicorn. And the antiquing paint wash on the upper wing is a nice touch, he's well worth dropping eight bucks on.
Chromia, on the other hand, is proof that someone on the design staff is retarded. How can you possibly screw up a FEMALE MOTORCYCLE TRANSFORMER? By simply neglecting to give her lower half any sort of transformation whatsoever, leaving just a wheel on the ground and requiring her to be packaged with a frigging STAND disguised as a weapon just so she can be propped up. How can one line contain so much Epic Win and so much Epic Fail at once. It just boggles me. confused

I am also loving Ransack . . . he is skeletal in his arms and head, giving him an ancient feel in both alt and bot mode. Truly a great toy! Within a half hour I even devised his gerwalk mode, and laughed to myself.
I also picked up on that same day Rampage. Now, the giant 'jackhammer' boggles me. Why in the nine hells would a robot the size of a mega-bulldozer need a jackhammer?!? Still, if you fold his back legs (yes, he has four) to be his only ones, and form the two front ones into the jackhammer, he is in a socially unacceptable "Well hung" mode. ninja Worth the laugh. Personally, I love the whips made out of his alt treads. The built-in weapons make it a decent Deluxe, worth getting.
My final aquisition is Soundwave . . . and I put forth that he is the penultimate Bayformer. His bot mode is impressive, complete with nifty bladelike appendages on his forearms. He also appears to house Ravage in the film, as the projectile is labeled as such. What makes him so Bayish is the fact that his alt modes are not only strikingly similar, but also are completely unrecognizable. He has plates and barbs of 'metal' that serve no purpose other than to be "AWESOME!!!!" Don't get me wrong, I like him. Still, he is the penultimate bayformer. He may very well be the first transformer I have ever owned that will spend more than 80% of his life with me in bot mode.

Ransack is the s**t hands down when i saw him i was in shock at how cool he is.
Rampages jackhammer is well retarded it has no use and its not really a jackhammer as mush a pogo stick... i like the 4 lages thing who said all transformers need to have a human shape robot mode.
i tend to get all motorcycle transformers but i may pass on Chromia i saw her and was dumbfounded for a good 10mins.
and Soundwave has a nice robot form alittle shot but still good his alt mods are weid nothing really locks when he transforms but his lags.

I actually dig the "Bayformer" aesthetic in Cybertronian alt modes. I mean, these are supposed to be mechanical lifeforms, when they transform in their native alt modes they're not doing it for disguise but for functionality.
The unrecognizable aspect is ideal in a Cybertronian alt mode, there is no reason for a living mechanical entity to look like what we think of as an aircraft or spacecraft when it reconfigures itself to gain maneuverability and speed in flight. It doesn't have the limitations that come with needing to accommodate a biological pilot or passenger, and never did have.
(And I'm STILL wondering, What The Hell Chromia, What the Hell? confused )
Looking at it again, I can accept the unicycle look in fiction and video, but even with Beast Machines Thrust they realized they would have to give the toy a way to stand on its own.

Here's the link to all the toy images... motorcycles from Bay does not make good toys. They could have been a little bit better if they looked at Prowl : from Animated or even G1.

But the movie style Arcee fig from the first movie line wasn't bad. THAT Arcee is all KINDS of slagged up...
Blaze Master there is kind of growing on me. "CHAN"... is he a news chopper? He is. mrgreen
Breakaway: "wRyy MY shOUldRz HurT?"
THE FALLEN: H.R. Giger meets Transformers. I like. And he's got orangey I'm-full-of-fire goodness. I approve.
Rampage = The Awesome s**t, Seriously. He and Movie One Bonecrusher are going to sit on my shelf and knock back cold ones as they hate everything around them.
Sideways - He's freaking Sideways. 'Nuff said.

Dead End is awesome. And he's freaking vampire. But man, is he ever a fiddly thing. It takes finesse to transform him just right. And the QC on mine was just a little iffy, with a bit of paint drip, some excess mold flash, and a deep mark in the plastic on a hood panel.
Wait a minute. A vampire robot that turns into a slick ground vehicle. Vamp. Another basic is a forklift. Spoons. Are we getting Gobots inspired stuff here? I hope so. xd
