"He's right here!" Rai, to silence his brother, shoved the baby bunny at him and sighed. "He was masquerading as my daughter!!! Now - I would very much like to know where she is, if you don't terribly mind."

He took Reever in his arms, and curled him close, nuzzling into his hair. When asked where the other was, he looked up.
"I... don't know?" he said, confused. "Up until now, I wasn't aware there was a girl version of Reever..."
Reever, meanwhile, made himself comfortable against his father's side, kicking the covers until he got JUST comfortable enough to drift off.

That wasn't what Rai wanted to hear. The man whimpered, gnawing at one of his nails as he speculated what may have become of her. What if security had caught her and called animal services? What if a psych ward patient had gotten her? Some horrid lunatic with glowering eyes and dark hair and...
It dawned on Raizen. He dashed from the room and into the twin's room, where one of his brothers lay sleeping and the other one was smiling sweetly. "What's the matter, Raizen? Lost something?" "You know very well what I lost, now give her here Evel or so HELP me!" The boy shrugged and reached behind the pillow and pulled out the girl and her new puppy.
As preoccupied as she'd been, Amber was happy to see her father and reached out to him, wanting to be picked up. This boon was granted and she found herself being smothered in affection as Raizen carried her and her pet back to Maverick's room and set her down on his brother's lap. "This is Amber, Maverick...or 'girl version of Reever' as you called her."

Reever was sleeping, worn out from his little adventures in the hospital. Maverick sat up, arms crossed. He grinned and shook his head a bit.
"I would never have imagined..." he started, before he went silent, and just stared at Amber. "They look EXACTLY alike."
Both rabbits DID look exactly alike - what with the black fur, down to the tips, and the hair and eyes. Without knowing the difference between the two of them [which would require moving a substantial amount of their clothing] it would be EASY for one to pose as the other. Which had been proven quite thoroughly with the escapades of earlier.

Unused to the attention, Amber shied away from everyone looking at her. The bunny covered her eyes and set back her ears, becoming a bunny loaf. She was determined to be invisible...though...there was one person she wanted to see. The little girl peeked timidly through her fingers to find Reever asleep nearby. He looked so comfortable that she wanted to join him then and there. She perked her ears carefully and made a small hop over to him. She lay down and snuggled into his warm fur and closed her eyes, yawning softly before joining him in his realm of slumber.
Raizen barely suppressed the urge to 'aww' at the sight. They were so cute together! He smiled at Maverick, pleased at their discovery. "I guess good things come in twos, eh?"

Maverick wasn't quite sure just what to say to that. He was unusually tired still, and most of the humor of the situation was going right over his head. Raizen, luckily, didn't seem to be too upset with him for whatever it was that he'd done. Neither did Dragon - who looked worriedly at Maverick more than anything else.
Dragon grabbed Rai's shoulders, and picked up the bunnyloaf. Maverick needed his rest, and he needed to get himself and Rai back to work. He'd LIKE to get them both home, but that would have to wait until later.
"Come Amber... Maverick, you rest. Rai - you and I have work to do. Remember? We were going to meet Grizz?"
Maverick just looked confused, as he rolled back over to get more rest, and the other two left his room.
