Rook nodded and brought his tail forward so he could slide a bright yellow ring off and tried to hand it to the panda girl. She did have a point after all and the grey skinned boy had no idea if Cabernet did have the strength or grip at that age to hold the rings.

The baby girl took hold of the ring, feeling its weight soon as it was placed in her hands. She seemed to be managing decently, at present. However, when Rook let go of it, the item started to over balance her and cause the little girl to start falling. Panicking a bit, Shiraz immediately released the ring, letting it fall to the pool floor as she desperately tried to regain her balance and composure.
"Sorry..." she intoned sheepishly, after seeing what she'd done.

" It's ok" Rook reassured the girl," Was just your first try." The older child shifted to stand instead of floating and moved a two toed foot towards the ring. Carefully he picked it up and balanced on one leg while he raised the foot holding the ring pinched between his toes. Once it was high enough for for him to grab with a hand Rook lifted the pool toy out of the water. " Would you like to try again?" the boy offered.

The panda had been starring at his lifting of the ring with a mix between surprise and envy. He was strong enough to lift it, balanced enough to be on one foot to get it, and tall enough to stand up all the way in the pool without his head being under. Shiraz wasn't sure if this was cool or something she should be jealous of.
Either way the girl smiled a bit, nodding and moving her hands to try and take the ring again. This time she'd be ready for it! This time she'd not let it try to drag her down!

Rook released the ring into the panda girl's hands and waited to see what would happen.

Again she started to sink a bit and topple over, but she pulled the ring up a bit, moving it more towards her center of gravity and relaxing back a bit so she could float while holding it.
"There! I has it!" she exclaimed in triumph.

"Congrats" The girl wouldn't be ready to swim with or dive for the ring any time soon but at least she'd found herself strong enough to accomplish the first step. A few more sessions and some time to grow and Shiraz would be able to play just like any other kid. Perhaps, Rook would see here here often and someday they could race for the rings and play underwater. He trusted the panda girl to not try and drown him.

"Fanks!" Shiraz said, struggling a bit to hand him back the ring. Doing that required her to swim a bit more in his direction and hold it up. Otherwise, she'd have been leaning forward with it and overbalanced herself, which would just be a bad idea.

" I'm bigger than you" Rook pointed out." The bigger you are the stronger you are" he said as he took back the ring. Still it made the young child smile to be complimented. Looking up he sighed at the time on the clock, the free swim would be ending soon and he should probably be heading home.
" I have to go now, I hope I can see you again and see how strong you get"

The baby would have taken time to disagree with him, bringing up the case of one of her brothers who - though a decent bit older than her - was about the same strength level as she was if not a bit weaker. However, this thought was cut off by Rook announcing that he was going to go.
"'llright. Nice meetanew. See you 'round." the panda girl called to him, waving before looking around for where her siblings had got to. It was time to either go have a snack, or take a nap. She'd had enough excitement for the time being.
