She laughed shaking her head. "No..I know your Name is Adele, You are a reaper of sorts.. the translation from This language to mine..Faier means reaper..or gatherer of souls." she explained, unbothered by his sense of irritation. " As of right now, for that matter, No I don't have a training facility on ground. I don't really know how to fight hand to hand, so I did not see a necessity for it." She opened the front door and a burst of cool air met them, smelling softly of Vanilla and Honey. She went inside, "Please, Enter." she said, stepping to the side so that he could enter the main part of her home.

OOC: This was my 100th post in the guild cool

He shrugged at the nickname. She could call Adele whatever she felt, however he still liked Adele more and would only reply to that name and only that name.

Adele stepped towards the doorway only to find that he was too large to fit through it. That was no matter, though, and he ducked down through the doorway and into the home after Nya. A cool wave of air hit him, cooling off the droplets of salty sweat that had been forming on Adele’s brow. The familiar scent of vanilla and honey filled Adele’s nostrils and suddenly he felt sort of at home although this house was foreign to him. Something she had said seemed off to Adele, though. Who didn’t know how to fight hand to hand in the syndicate? It was almost a necessity! She must be a liar, he thought.

Not know how to fight? What were you sheltered in your mother’s womb until just recently?” Adele said snidely as he examined the various nick nacks that could be found around the house. It was beyond him why someone needed so many material possessions and colors in their living space. The way he saw things was that Adele was there to eat, sleep, and seek shelter. He was not in an abode to enjoy the overly detailed embroidery of a French couch. From his pocket he produced a black cigarette and held it up to his mouth. With the snap of his fingers, he lit it with a black flame that had appeared over his fingers. Puffs of sweet smelling smoker wafted from the small stick of poison. It would have been a horrible habit had he been human, but because he was already dead, the habit did nothing but relax Adele.

So what do you know how to do, then? Other than fill your home with frivolous and useless objects of so called ‘taste’?

"Actually..No. My mother was murdered by humes when I was three months old. My father raised me. He never took the time to teach me." she shrugged, moving towards a stair case, and then up towards the second floor. "As far as what i can do, " she paused thinking for a moment. "I can Manipulate the elements...Earth, Air, Fire..Water.. My specialty..what I love the most is Earth however. It makes me feel so..peaceful, and alive. "She had pointedly ignored his comment of her furnishings, continuing on. "I learned to fight somewhat from a Changling that grew up within our village, after three years however he too was killed amidst a raid, so what I know..is all I know...Adele?" she spoke his name to get his attention, it wandering through the many frivolous and useless objects of so called tasts that littered her home.." This way is your room, the first door on the right. I hope perhaps, you will find that much more to your taste.

Adele snickered madly at the mention of her mother being dead; it was a mildly ironic and thought provoking notion. The news had come of some surprise to Adele, not to mention that it was funny picturing her father with a uterus and a mini Nya feasting inside—although he didn’t think she could have gotten much smaller as it was. The giant blew smoke into her face jauntily as he strut past her into the guest bedroom and upon entering his immediate thoughts were forged into yet another shockingly rude sentence. “Are you sure you’ve showed me to the right room or do you intend to give all of your guests a seizure?” he asked with an arched eyebrow, turning around to take in all the features. The glowing blue and purple headboard had caused him to wonder if she had accidently brought him to some kind of kinky night club of a room rather than a bedroom.

He flicked the butt of the cigarette onto the floor and squished it into the floor. Oh what a lovely person Adele was to have around. He listened impatiently as Nya rattled off the brief list of abilities she had mastered; oh how she was such an innocent being.

Your father was foolish to have neglected teaching you such things—it is essential to anybodies survival outside of their magical charms which can only do so much.” His eyes flickered constantly from her to the wall that seemed to constantly haggle for his roaming attention. “Lemme lay this on you quick here, ya’ fluff head.” He lit another black cigarette and leaned against the door frame with an air of expectation. Adele’s hair flickered curiously from side to side as he spoke again. “You could be more help to me than I had originally estimated” He took another drag and lingered for a moment, collecting his words, before going on.

I’m curious to know about the ways of the earth, for my own personal use. Happen you could adequately direct me in these ways then I will teach you how to fight with both your mind and your body.” He stared on her, intent on not taking no for an answer.

She reached up, clicking a switch beside the door, the lights went off. "One of the workers must have been testing it and left it on.." she said, thinking aloud. She looked to him then, thinking of his proposal. "Rest, for now." she said, "I will think of your proposal, and give my answer after you have properly rested. Take you time..regenerate, feed. " she bowed her head slightly. "Should you need me for any reason You will find me in the Greenhouse commons." she smiled softly then, his brute manners unaffecting her rather polished ones. " Until then." she said, dissapearing out the door, it shutting behind her, and shutting the smoke within.

Adele scoffed as she exited the room and flicked the frozen butt at the door as it closed behind Nya. It bounced off the door and off into some unknown corner of the room. He flicked the switch and watched as the colors came fluttering back to life on the wall. Who said Adele didn’t like them? They were in fact, soothing to him—What did Nya know anyways? If she wanted to blow him off then she could just go roll over and die in a ditch for all Adele could have cared. He peeled off his layers of shirts and armor and threw them lazily onto the floor. He hadn’t been there for more than 15 minutes and already the room looked like a disaster zone. He laid back onto the bed and sighed, wishing now more than ever that he had his rift serum. It would take forever for Adele to scour the property for a proper set of ingredients to synthesize a way out of this hell on earth.

After a while, he began to shuffle and move restlessly, amusing himself by sending blasts of ice at different spots on the wall across from the bed , the blasts would spread sheets of ice over small areas of the wall with a loud ringing noise that was something like music to Adele’s ears. The more he thought about how much he wanted out of this place, the angrier he got. The room had turned into an ice box in the centre of Antarctica. Everything had glazed over , including the seizure wall which now sent eerie shadows across the floor and room that had been reflected through the thick panels of jagged ice forming over it. Half of Adele’s box of smokes had been depleted by this time, and he was running on low in the interests department. There was NOTHING to do and he had all but lost his mind…well, technically, he would have had to have found it in the first place. Something that was easier said than done.

Nya sat at the bench of the green house, humming softly toherself. A soft melody, although quite sad. she began to sing then, her voice carrying through the greenhouse like that of an angel's. She was busying herself in her work, a mortar and pestil beside her as she mixed several dry ingredient, then a bit of ale, mashing it together evenly then placing it into a small clay vessel...She was indeed engrossed in her work..

Like rain to a flower in the most dangerous of droughts, a sweet song wafted over the gardens, through the paths and halls, raining grace a peace upon the entire sanctuary. It wafted through doors and walls like a hot knife through butter and once the sad tune reached Adele’s room, he looked up from his work angrily. He had decided to become useful and had begun scavengering for materials to produce a serum to get home. He waited for a moment, then one more the music did not stop! “Ugh! I can’t work with all this racket!” He threw an alarm clock against the wall, and it smashed into thousands of tiny pieces with an angry slam.

And so, like a bat out of hell, Adele flung the guest bedroom door open, producing another loud cracking noise as the ice around the door shattered. Down the stairs and out of the house, he followed the music through petulant breeding grounds of petunias and baby’s breath; rosemary and sage. Where was it coming from? His hair seemed to flick from side to side like an angry cats tail, and there was an itching for blood in his fingers. Adele had been in the place for less than a day and already he wanted to squeeze the life out of every little beady eyes animal he came across. This, however, should come as no surprise.

The sound emanated from Nya’s workshop in the greenhouse. He quieted his footsteps quite a bit, and strolled in on silent toes. For a moment, Adele stood there, watching Nya with sunken eyes that burned orange like an ember ; flung from the fire and into the cold night air. How he longed to grab her and twist her petite head until it popped off; how he longed to rip every ligament out of her body and watch her lying on the ground unable to move. Adele trembled like an upset child, except his trembling was not from fear but from the agony of self restraint.

Oh for the same of all that is holy in this world, would you shut your concordant little trap!?” he whined loudly to Nya. He seemed very exasperated—in truth Adele though her singing was chillingly haunting but he would have never admitted it and he refused to even believ it himself. He gave her a look over one or twice. It really angered him that she had denied his offer—he should have squashed here then and there!

Nya had stopped singing moments before Adele entered the workshop, now only the sound of clay clinking together as she pulled two pots from the shelf. "Come here Adele." she said softly, "I need your help with something please." She turned to watch him for a moment, ignoring his comment entirely. "Take that soil there.. And bring it to me. " she motioned towards a bucket of fresh black soil just to the right of him." She watched him a moment longer, her sapphire orbs boring into his very core it seemed. She turned away then, reaching upwards once more, to take a small packet off the shelf above her. She set out then a second clay pot setting it to the side of her. There was something odd..in the air. She glanced up for a moment, looking just to the left of her..a garden there, she smiled softly and a gentle wind carressed the plants in their bed. She turned away from the, continuing with her work.

He snorted, satisfied that she had shut her mouth up but then Adele’s twisted sense of satisfaction seemed to fade as she brushed him off. He scoffed and watched her in disbelief. Who was she to tell him what to do? Then again, who was he not to be bossed around out of his element? Oh! That was it, he was the man that could kill anybody he wished with enough effort. Although he had made that clear all too many times. Adele wrinkled his nose as he grabbed the bag of soil between his index finger and thumb as if he might catch something very dirty from its contents.

Adele dropped the sack with a thud next to Nya and watched as a bit of dirt came drifting up in clouds of dust before him. “Too weak to carry it yourself?” he chided in snidely. “I wouldn’t be surprised. Anything else while I’m standing out here in this wretched weather?” It was funny, Adele looked rather like a cat whom had been placed in a cold bath as he stood there with his arms crossed, obeying the beck and call of the little Fey. He looked away, annoyed with her, and glanced at a few dark pink blossoms growing near them.

"Yes, actually" she said reaching to open the bag a bit more. "Take a handful and place it in the jar there, fill it three quarters full..then placed this, into it." she said softly setting a single, blackish brown seed about the size of a dime onto the worktable bench. "Once you have done that, fill the jar the rest of the way with the dirt..." she looked at him and smiled wryly before returning to her own work.
PostPosted: Wed Feb 18, 2009 2:22 pm

Adele looked at Nya as she turned her back and almost took a cheap shot at her back. Almost. He sat down on the ground with a huff and lit another cigarette than hung listlessly off of his lip as he worked. The quarters up he repeated in his head with such disdain. It was tedious, child-like work! He sighed heavily before steeling a look up a Nya to see if she was paying attention. He filled the dirt a bit too high but what did it really matter? He grabbed the seed and pushed it into the dirt then sloppily grabbed another handful and plopped it on top of the seed without bothering to pat it down at all.

Adele went to wipe sweat off of his forehead when he realized that his hands were covered with a thick, moist, dark residue from the dirt. He wiped his hands over his bare chest and then stood and plopped the pot down on Nya’s workbench. That was easy he thought as she seemed unaffected by the sound.

Alright well now that this is done, if you wouldn’t mind oh weak one, I have a one way ticket home fermenting in the guest room and it’s really calling for my attention, so if you would be so kind as to spare me of this boring work.” He inched away from the work table as he mumbled, hoping Nya would be too absorbed to notice.

"Don't forget to water it." she said then, reaching to place a small watering can within his reach. "If the earth doesn't learn to trust you, it will not do your bitting." she commented. "And a thing of life shall not trust one of only death." she reached down, picking the bag of soil up with one hand, and moved it out of the way up oto the table itself. Weak..hehe..perhaps not.

Damn! Caught in the act! His face hardened in disappointment as Adele squirmed in his spot. Taking in what she had said, he finally understood what was going on that was not to say he liked her approach very much. Wait! Hold the phone! She wanted him to do what? Water it? The thought was obscene to Adele, it was mind boggling. Was she asking him to actually give something life?! He uncrossed his arms and snatched the watering can from her with a huff. Pulling it close to his face and peering into the black hole with a grimace, Adele then placed the watering can back on the counter. Ugh, if this wasn’t hell in its purest form, he didn’t think that it truly existed, then.

You truly are the festering bacteria upon a dead man’s flesh, you know that?” He hissed, charming as always. Adele did not need the watering can, though, and with a wave of his hand water came floating up from inside the watering can and he lead it to above the pot of clay, letting the water linger there for a moment. ‘Oh come now, it won’t be that bad, will it?’ the grimace on Adele’s face must have been giving away his thoughts. ‘Drop or not to drop? Don’t do it! You’ll burn like Adam and Eve!’ he moved the water back to the can. ‘Oh just do it, you need to learn, right? This isn’t the way you p***y eater’ He shifted the water back over the pot uncertainly. ‘oh well you can just shut up, voice of reason. We take, life, not give it!’. Adele moved the water back and forth as the frames of his mind shifted until he shifted the water above the pot and then released it from his control letting gravity do the work. Technically, he hadn’t watered it, right?

Adele leaned back to admire his cleverness and handy work. “So how long until it grows?” he asked leaning up against the bench to peer at her work.

Nya watched as he fought within himself, smiling softly all the while she completed her own work. "Very nice." she said the water finally hitting the soil and seed. "If a few days time you'll see a sprout. In three weeks we'll take the sprout into the greenhouse itself, and transplant it elsewhere."
She replied, taking up his pot and setting it into the fading sunlight. The seed she'd planted only hours before already shot high from the soil, a soft bright green against the black of the dirt. She touched it tenderly, before turning to look at Adele. She reached out, motioning him to follow as she walked outside then turned, facing him. "The easiest way to gain the earths trust, is to become a part of her." she said softly."Each being great and small has a place, a job, each created with a purpose in mind. Very few however, take their roots back to the Earth herself. Before she will bend to your will..your comand, before you can manipulate even the smallest granule, you have to rediscover yourself, within her." She paused, watching him for a moment, allowing him to soak up her words.
After a moment, she reached out, "Take my hand." she said softly, Her sapphire orbs focused upon him, doorways to her own soul... doorways to his eden... He just didn't know it yet..and Neither did she.
