(That was the anime. Red had a bunch of Rockets, which were the base model for the two in the series...)

(Alright... *fires gun into the air* GO!)
Aldrin found his path to Britalion from Erene blocked by a Team Rocket grunt... Probably someone who wanted to steal the pokemon he had.
"Hand over the Pokeballs, kid." The man ordered.
Aldrin made a pouting face, "now I have to fight someone again... oh well. GO! Mark One!" He threw out an ultraball, which opened to let out a Registeel.
"A Registeel?! Paydirt! Go-" He was cut off, however, when the ball was shot out of his hand, nearly breaking his fingers. he looked in shock to see Aldrin pumping a shotgun.
"Hey! that's cheating! You're supposed to battle!" The Rocket grunt protested.
"You were trying to rob me. THIS is self-defense." He fired another beanbag into the Rocket's chest. The man fell over and groaned.
"Mark one, keep a lookout for other Rockets while I take the thief's Pokeballs... They were probably stolen..." Aldrin said, sounding a bit disappointed.
