Ben smiled, "I'm thinking a golden retriever." He told her, "One that will match Thali's personality would be best, I think." He silently thought about how a hyper active puppy might mellow Thali out a bit. "I hope so," He said with a bright smile, "She's been wanting one for a while, and anything's better than getting her another cat." He had to resist the urge to roll his eyes.
"Matthias?" Risa repeated, for confirmation. "Well, I'm on my break. Do you want to have lunch? I was just heading to the food courts." She smiled at Matth, before adding, "Maybe the Prin--" Here Thali gave her a frown, "I mean, Thali, would like to come too?"

Nataya smiled brightly; she loved golden retrievers! "They're pretty dogs." she said, nodding enthusiastically. "Friendly, too! I'm sure she'll absolutely, positively love it!" She knew she would. Then again, Circe wouldn't be too enthused if they got another dog, so it was out of the question. Oh well; it was nice to think about, anyways. "Well, you do own a lot of cats..." She said, nodding as she remembered the few visits she'd had to their house. While all the cats were nice and everything, but there were just so many of them! She could definitely see where Ben was coming from on that issue.
Matthias nodded his head. "Yes, Matthias." he confirmed, forcing a small smile. Annoying, so far. But, he had been proven wrong before, so he'd give the girl a chance before permanently labeling the poor lady.

Ben smiled, "You know, I think she will." He said cheerfully. He couldn't help but be cheerful when he was around Nattie. He nodded, "Well, Thali really likes her cats." He said with a grin. "She likes to point out that you have more dustbunnies than she does cats."
Risa tilted her head slightly, "Do you have a nickname?" She asked. It would have been awkward to call someone by their full name constantly. She led them to the food courts. "Do you have a favorite resturant?" She asked.

The little fairy giggled. "Why wouldn't she? Puppies are adorable; there's nothing not to like about them." she said, her tone light. She then let out a laugh. "But the dustbunnies are smaller, and they don't need to eat! They're different. Besides, I don't have a say over how many show up." she said, grinning. "It's completely different."
The man chuckled. "One of my friends shortens my name to "Matth"...you may call me that if you wish." he said, following them. He then shook his head. "I like them all equally."

Ben laughed. "Try telling Thali that," He said with a grin. Thali would never understand dustbunnies. She understood pets. Animals like birds, squrriels and dustbunnies were beyond her. If she could, she would probably claim every bird in the sky, and every star to go along with it.
Risa smiled, "Matth then," She said cheerfully. "Are you sure?" She asked. She wasn't very good at making decisions. She looked at Thali, "Do you have a favorite?" She asked. Thali merely pointed towards the old fashioned Italian resturant.

Nataya giggled. True, while she didn't have control of how many were occupying the house with them, she still considered them pets. Each new one gained a name of its own, each one got daily attention and treats if they were good, and each one had it's separate little bed somewhere in the house. As if on cue, there was a small popping sound from behind them, and incessant meeping as the small creature hopped to catch up with them. It's fur was black with red tips, and it had blank white eyes. To be honest, the little thing looked absolutely evil, but that didn't stop it from being Nataya's favorite.
"Toguki! What are you doing here?" the little fairy said, stopping and turning to pick the little critter up. The ball of fur let out a contented purr as the young girl pet it. She then looked up to Ben, smiling. "This is Toguki! Toguki, this is my friend, Ben." she said, introducing the two.
Matthias nodded. "I'm sure." he said, before glancing at the resturaunt. He shrugged, figuring that it was as good as any place. Besides, he wouldn't be eating much, anyways.

Ben stared. He'd only seen a dustbunny once, and that had been when he had met Thali's friend Risa. Granted, Risa's familar had been slightly friendlier looking. "Hi Toguki," He said, reaching out to pet it.
"Alright," Risa said, nodding. "Want me to order? What would you like?" She paused, and frowned at Thali, who was making fun of her by making 'lovey dovey' faces behind Matth's back. Princesses should mind their own business, not make fun of people.

The little ball of fur started to growl, earning a mild frown from the child holding it. "Toguki...that isn't very nice." she said, turning the little creature so she could look it in the eye. "Ben's a friend; you have no reason to growl at him." The dustbunny meeped a bit before snuggling into her hand, as if trying to look cute to get out of trouble. Sighing, Nataya looked back up to Ben. "Sorry about that." She said, rubbing the back of neck with her free hand and offering a faint smile.
Matthias shrugged. "I'm not very hungry...perhaps I'll just have a couple of bread sticks and some water." he said, blinking as he saw Risa frown. What, wasn't he allowed to ask for breadsticks?

Ben was used to animals reacting this way towards him; perhaps that was why he never got along with Thali's cats. "It's okay," Ben said, with a smile. "He's just doing his job. Protecting you. That's the best kind of friend."
Risa nodded at Matth, recovering from a certain annoying princess' teasing. "I'll order then." She said, walking over to the window. She got pasta for Thali and herself, and bread sticks and water for Matth.

Nataya frowned. "But you aren't a threat. He's just being mean, which he knows is a no-no." she said, still looking at the dustbunny. She then looked up at Ben. "Are you okay?" she asked, not sure if her pet had managed to bite him. Oh, she hoped he hadn't...
Matthias nodded, taking a seat at one of the tables.

Ben smiled and nodded, "He didn't get me." He said, still leading his son's friend to the art shop. "Here we are." He said.
Risa carried the plates to the table, and had to go back for the drinks. She was never one to ask for help, especially if she needed it. "Here you go," She said, handing Matth a plate of breadsticks and some water. She sat down between him and the princess.

Nataya nodded, glad. She would have felt SO bad if Toguki had managed to bite him. She then grinned, running into the artshop like a small child running into a toyshop. She was looking through the pencils, picking out which ones she thought would help Ben with his card and which ones she planned to get to restock her own supplies.
Matthias offered a small, polite smile. "Thank you." he said, nodding once. He knew he should have offered to help, but he hadn't. No brownie-points for him.

Ben grinned at Nataya's antics. He followed her, looking at the pencils with interest. "You think these would work?" He asked, holding up a set of watercolor pencils.
Risa smiled, "It was no trouble." She said. "If there's anything else you would like, feel free to tell me." She saw Thali open her mouth to say something, and frowned at her.
Sometimes, being friends with a princess was a hard job.

Nataya looked at the colored pencils, thinking a moment. "You might want to try these. They come in a wider variety, but their about the same price." she said, holding out a different set of pencils. They weren't a name brand, but they worked just as well as the fancy-schmancy ones.
Matthias nodded once. "I don't think I'll be in need of anything else. But thank you, young one." he said, smiling lightly and nodding once.

Ben smiled, "That's what I was looking for," He said, taking the box from Nattie. "Thank you." He paused, "Do you have what you're looking for? I have a feeling Thali's going to get antsy if we don't get back soon." He winked to let her know he was kidding.
Risa nodded, though she frowned at being called 'young one'. It'd been centuries since she'd been called that. Though, undeniably, Matth was older than she was. "So.. where are you from, Matth? I mean, where were you born?"
