Also, there are now two different patch downloads. One for Global server and one for Singapore Server.

Maple Announcments 2005.04.06Dear User - East Gateway. Thanks for your continuous interest and support in MapleStory. On 6th of April, there was an unexpected server issue for the East Gateway. We tried to fix the problem without affecting any game play or user information. However we reached our conclusion that it is unevitable to rollback the user information. Therefore, all the user information (items, stats & EXP ) will be rolled back to that of April 6th 03:30 am. We sincerely appologize for this incident. We can assure that we will try our best to avoid this trouble for the future.

This was added in the last patch and not many people know about it so I'll post it here.
The Maple Administrator in Henseys will now give away a random cake if you answer a question correctly. The questions are easy enough that you shouldn't have any trouble with them and the reward is 5 cakes that do 1400-2000 hp/mp restore.
Also, all the ballon girls talk now and advertise for cell phones, but otherwise don't do much.
ALL THE NAMES ARE BACK!!! XD

Actually, they advertise to put MS on your cellphone. If you do, you get 6 free cash shop items. At the moment though, it doesn't work, but this shows that the cash shop is probly coming soon :3

I'd also like to note among the NPCs that have new dialogue are the two skateboarding guys, one on Maple Island and one at Lilth Harbor (Paul and Jean, brothers) They say something about an event including a list of games. You're supposed to click on each game for a description but intead of having one it just says 'description' so evidently they're not done setting up yet.

Recently, there have been more and more rumors regarding the opening of Ossyria. Some of these rumors sound very convincing and even state the exact time and place.
There are also images of GMs saying that Ossyria will open--however, these are edited images and should not be trusted. Even our GMs do not know the exact date of the launch.
Simply put, all rumors regarding Ossyria are NOT TRUE.
We do understand that many users are eagerly awaiting the launch of Ossyria in MapleGlobal. What we can tell you right now is that we are working hard to make Ossyria ready for you as soon as possible.
When Ossyria does open, we will put up a notice in advance.

This is more guild news rather then Maple Story news.
A guild meet-up will be held this Saturday (May 7th, Mothers Day) ALL day.
It will be in Henesys Free Market 7. You can find out all the info in the sticky about it.
Also, you should help Emi make banners because you think she rules and stuff >>

Well, Maple Story had a server check which ended hours ago and Double experience is also now over. It seems higher drop rates may still be here though...
