I like too much fish and shellfish. crying But I don't touch any other meats, pretty much.
Jyu... You never posted recipes. I love Jewish food. And recipes. We have such a crazy mixed heritage, that the food is always an interesting part. Perhaps when I get home, I'll post my family's recipe for kugel ^^

I follow a loose sort of kosher, but I try to be a little stricter. There's some really good cookies called Milano cookies that you can buy and they're kosher. (I can't really cook sweatdrop )

Have never kept kosher - mom thinks it's silly. And of course, I have an unhealthy love for salami and bacon and spam. Yeah... Hmmm - recipes? *Pulls out sephardic cookbook*
Rice Pudding
3 cups cooked white rice 3 cups milk 1/2 cup sugar 1 egg yolk 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Add rice, milk, and sugar and cook (covered) until all the milk is absorbed - about an hour to 90 minutes. Turn heat off and and add egg yolk and vanilla. Serve either warm or cold. Add cinnamon or nuts to taste.
My dad loves this recipe - and it's kosher!

I've always kept kosher. Like the full two sets of dishes and pots and pans and all that jazz. Kosher style out of the house. Just too hard to be practically vegetarian when I'm out, I like restuarant burgers too much. But every once in a while, say, when I'm out to lunch with friends... I slip. It's just that we go out during school (off campus lunch is awesome biggrin ) and get like salads from the supermarket salad bar with chicken and I'll want creamy dressing... Or we'll stop at Starbucks and I'll have a coffee craving. But I try! At some point before pesach, I'll pull up my mom's best kosher for pesach dessert recipe. It's this chocolate torte-cake-thing, really moist and good and amazing enough that we make it for Thanksgiving too. Made with sweet potatoes xd It's goooood

In fact, we should make a Pesach recipe thread. That is something we can all use. And trust me, this thing is so good and chocolatey that we make it outside of Pesach. How's that for a pesach recipe? heart

oh em jyu I've been thinking about making a kosher-recipes thread, for anyone who'd interested, but I've got to know one thing first. How many of you keep kosher? If there aren't that many, maybe this could just be a Jewish food thread for discussing and sharing recipes. OH THAT WOULD BE GREAT ... i would like love everyone whom put up recipes ^.^ i tried to make this bread thingie one time... left it in to long. lol. i'm a horrible cooker person, but i'd love to like make something then make my family eat it ^.^ ::looks all wide eyed with happiness::

Well, just to add my two cents' worth, I think it would be great to have a Recipe thread to trade around with. But maybe keep the kosher-ness as little light? I know the Sephardim and the Ashkenazim have different interpretations of some of the details, so maybe keep it open ended? But either way, I think it would be just wicked.
