inblood_isoak Galdrea Here's an interesting bit of info. On Thursday, I got over my fear of talking to the faeries that come to smell my incense, and I met a leader of them. She and I talked, and she gave me her name, which I'll keep to myself, but she said if I needed her that all I had to do was call her (And she told me how to call her) and by the time the incense had burned out, it would have been either completed, or on the path to being complete. Also, she got very agitated when I asked her about the Shadow-kin, so I sorta left it alone, but next time I talk to her, I'll try to get it out of her. confused I burn insence all the time but I've never noticed faeries at my window. It could be because I have a screen on my window; is it possibly they just don't live where I do?? I dunno. They just come to me. Maybe they DON'T live where you live, or maybe I live closer to some sort of spiritual portal-thing, or maybe I'm dull enough that they got interesting. also, I used to burn inscence all the time, and I never saw them until I pratically stopped lighting incense. i still do, once in a while, and they come in little groups to smell it. also, strangely enough, they are able to enter my home, like, THROUGH walls and windows. i've actually seen them fly through windows. it was like they didn't even know anything was there.

I don't see them or anything else, but i have felt presences before. And like i've felt people holding my hand and once while i was really scared something came and put their hand on my shoulder. Once something grabbed my thigh(that was weird sounding) and i thought it was my friend who was with me but she denies it and so i think once again...anywhoo...i used to make faerie houses in the creek by my house and we have the "fairy tree" in my yard and i used to put candy and carbs in it for them...what we put always disappeared...

Four dragons came into my life a few years ago...The first dragon that I've encountered came to me when I was comming home from putting books back from the library...The wind was blowing oddly cause I didn't see any trees swaying at all...A rush of noise rushed through my face....Then it circled around me,shooting itself up in the air...When I got home something came up to me of Dragon Magick...I never heard that term before...So I looked it up online and came across a group....Someone told me that I should try to speak to whomever was trying to contact me,I had strong feeling it was weather an angel or a dragon..And that night I made a contact cause he wasn't sure if I was ready to speak to him yet...It was fun...One of my best friends also was made a contact from a dragon and somehow knew about my dragon friend aswell...Right now I don't see them as much cause of a war sometime ago and plus well they have a home aswell to go to of course...But they see me once in a while...

Wow so many accounts and only ONE disbeliever among the lot of you. That certainly does speak for some type of coicendence or reason as to why Wiccans tend to be more visually inclined to these mystical beings.
Do go on more detail about your dragon encounters.

DamienZshadow I'm not sur ehow Wicca views mystical creatures such as Spirites or Sylphs but...well I guess I'd like to share an experience of mine with you.
I was moving and I would not be able to see my one good friend for a while but I knew she was at work all day so I just decided to stay home during my break in moving things and just laid down on my bench outside and looked to the sky. There was no wind, a gentle whisp of air enough to move some hair strands but that's it. Then I sighed out of boredom and repeated a phrase from one of my favorite video games (soul calibur but talim) "Wind, guide me..." and believe it or not...a great gust of wind pushed up and nearly made me fall. It stopped until I got up and looked around and then the wind began blowing in one direction, pushing me foward so I just walked. I thought I may have been overreacting until I followed the wind's direction directly to my friend's house who just arrived there in her car and saw me the same moment I was approaching her house. I don't know what I just experienced but aparently she was let off early that day, by coicedence. Again, I may just be over exadurating (spl?) but really, the sudden bursts of wind tied in exactly the same moment I would say something or decide to move in another direction.
I also would like to keep this thread open for any other experiences involving mystical folk. Do you think the fae led you to your friend? Maybe, but the experience you related sounds like something like the syncronicity that the Celestine books talk about. Have you ever read "The Celestine Prophesy?"

My encounter with the mystical/supernatural was extremely weird. My little cousin had spent the night at my place one night over the summer and we had set uo the tent to sleep in. A few nights later, I was spending the night in the tent and was still awake. I heard something in the back yard heading to the street. I turned over to see what was going on and a hoven foot stepped into view. I don't know what it was even to this day. Even weirder, not long after the foot dissapeared something was at the vehicles because I heard the door handles click.

I don't see anything special there...

I realize that not everyone here is Wiccan and that it doesn't make them able to see these creatures or that people ourside of Wicca can't. I just meant to point out, that in a Wiccan community, there tends to be a lot more on this subject whereas most others just put it off as hullucination and such. I was wondering if there is any correlation with mystical creatures in Wicca, not assuming everyone who has had an experience HAS to be Wiccan.
Oh and by the way Miss_Spell, could you please be more elaborate? Um...Fae?
No I have not read the Celestine Prophesy, I'll look it up immediately, thank you.

I had a very similiar experience when I was little.
It just turned out to be my little brother, not really mystical. But he's some kind of creature, lol.

I had a good friend that was a weeping willow tree when I was little... does that count? We would have conversations and I would sit in her shade and talk... then my dad had to cut her down... that made me realy mad... crying gonk
I also encountered some sort of spirit in my living room once... not sure what it was though. I saw it out of the corner of my eye. It looked like the sillouette (sp?) of a person (a man, I think). He was in a croutching position when I saw him out of the corner of my eye... kinda like he was trying to sneak past me... anyway, I looked and there was nothing there. My mom has seen them too (I guess theres more than one). They would stand at the foot of her bed and watch her sleep then she would wake up, see them, and freak out cuz she thought someone was breaking into the house. That happened a lot... My mom and I haven't seen them in a long time... maybe they're gone...

The only thing I have experienced, and I wont even say it was, well I one day I was in Science, dozing off. I was particularily wierd moody that day and frightened of something. No clue what. I was staring at my binder and I saw a wispy bright flash of white light ((like, not all around it but centered in one spot about the size of my thumb)) and it flashed right beside my binder. I had no idea what it was. I immediately woke up and told my friend that sits beside me, and she was like, "Wow. You are to tired." I think it was one of the fae but I can never be sure because the light above me flickers on and off all the time ((every light I am under in each one of my periods)) and if it was really that light, wouldn't the light be like, all around instead of just in one particular spot?

I'm not sure if this is entirely relevant, but there's another type of creature that none of you have mentioned yet. It's a 'latch' and they pretty much attach themselves to people, mostly Wiccans and pagans, but sometimes people they're just interested in. They can take almost any form, the most common is like a cat or a dog or something. The rarer ones are shaped like unicorns or dragons. You can never see a latch directly, they're much too shy for that, but you can feel them at your back supporting you, and their love for their chosen person is absolute, they'll always be there to help, no matter what.
