Several sharp-pointed legs erupted from different places out of the ground, each one angling in a different direction to attack Travis. Travis would have to be extremely reflexive and agile in order to avoid being skewered and crushed to death, and even if he could, all his attention would be focused on staying alive, instead of hunting down Fatal.

Fatal slipped away, into the darkness, and towards the cave entrance....

Fatal laughed. His snake, still alive, plowed right through the entrance of rock. Then Fatal stepped out and was free.

((You'll need to do a bit more work to end this particular antagonist! MUHAHAHA *manical laughs; coughs and wheezes* ACK-HACK-bleah.))

The humongous scorpion continued to strike at Travis, and the snake had disappeared, once again, as if waiting for Travis to come near.... Both creatures were earth tunnelers; many of Fatal's creatures were. Most of his summons came forth from the ground below; it was not the best way with which to confront the shady sorcerer.

Did Travis know that? Because, the scorpion didn't. It would simply remain, until Travis got the bright idea to actually attempt to attack it. Which, since the time limit was already up, would be when the scorpion faded away. But Fatal was long gone, by this time.

Well, actually, the scorpion was, like the snake, armored and unharmed by fire. Their scales were made to resist high temperature, as they burrowed far beneath the planet's surface. But the fire did do something else--it showed Travis that the scorpion was just an illusion. At some point, it may have been real, but as soon as it had faded, Fatal had just replaced it with an illusion. The flames showed the illusion for what it really was.

As Travis saw all of this, the snake burst, jaws wide, gaping, and spitting venom, from the wall behind Travis, in another attempt to melt him or get its jaws around him. Blocking the snake and avoiding acid at the same time was impossible to do.

((I failed to mention it earlier, but it is only blind in one eye BECAUSE the pistol was too weak to break its inner eyelid.))

((Well, naturally, I said blocking both was impossible. I said nothing about dodging or avoiding. And who says you can't come back from the Celestial Kingdom? XD))

The snake continued to follow Travis through the air; its long body still anchored in the nearby wall, and its head weaving through the air, spitting the occasional burst of acid but mainly chasing the flying, weaving angel-creature.

((What? Monsters go to hell? How racist is that?))

So Travis turned around and flew back towards the snake... right into its lunging, open jaws. Regardless of whether his shot hit its mark or not, Travis had just propelled himself into the teeth. A strange, suicidal and kamikaze sort of maneuver, but hey--Fatal would take that. Even sacrifice his snake in his own sort of kamikaze, to end Travis.

Fatal had no idea that Travis would not beget a Trophy, however.

((And Fatal is gone.))

But Kranza would not let his newest servent die so easily, icy power flared out of Travis, emanating from the link between Travis' soul and Kranza, the snake was quickly frozen solid and shattered, leaving Travis unharmed.

Travis sighed sadly and leaned against a wall, He got away... maybe I truely am a monster, if I can't even do anything to help this world... he thought to himself.
