It is helpful.. Right now im dealing with her smacking people... And I tried the smack back but it didnt work now she thinks its a game.. And then I tired time out that didnt work... Now im trying grabbing her hand as she goes to do it and saying no...
And I'm starting to wonder if she has ADD or ADHD.. It runs in my family my dad has it and me and my sisters have either major or minor forms of it.. And the my husband has ADD and I have a mild case. I know I wanna test her prior to kindergarten because that way they cant send her home because she misbehaved and they know how to handle her.

Another teaching moment for the children and learning patience moment for mom! All I can tell you is I had to keep telling them "owie, that hurts" while holding their hands and redirecting that energy to something more productive like the preschool songs that have hand motions with them. Good luck!

I'm gonna have to start saying Owie... Cause they hurt! she is a little girlie girl who will wake out of a dead sleep if you cut her nails.. She wants to be like her auntie Skylar who has long natural nails...

That can be dangerous when they are little, though.

Some of those can still make sounds that grate on the ears and nerves, though, can't they?

Yes Yes they do but she always seems to be doing it in a rhythm so I think she has a musical bone in her like her daddy and I plan to buy her some play music instruments

I know what you mean! I get like that now because she likes to voice her opinion on everything! I only get peace at nap time and food times

Isn't it funny how we can't wait for their first words and then start looking forward to nap and sleep and eating times to find a little more peace? 4laugh
