"Fine... I don't know much about him, but I do know that this is his home. And after this place was in ruins, he was captured by some people, but he escaped and lived in the Jonk Wilderness," Kasai said as she remembered what Illvane had told her about the Beast.

"No, I don't," Kasai said. Even if she did know of any, she wouldn't have told this man.
Kali was sitting down on a bench where Kasai had left her and the others, getting impatient. "I wonder what's taking her so long..."

The man stood and sighed, "Very well, we're just trying to protect ourselves I hope you understand. Be careful out in the forest, this Beast has killed three of our patrols in cold blood." He nodded to the mirror and the door opened, a different guard from the two before lead her out of the building and to the gates, the guards opened the gate to let Kasai through.

Kasai walked out of the gates, wondering if what that man said was true. She tried to push that out of her mind as she entered the forest, looking around for the Beast.

Kasai giggled when the Beast licked her face. "Hey! I'm glad to see you, too," she said to him as she petted him. Then she took a good look at him and said, "Well, you've changed some, haven't you?" She smiled.
