Can we include graphic novels in here?
If so, I recommend The Plain Janes series, as well as V for Vendetta and Watchmen. Also Persepolis. 3nodding
As for books without pictures... Anything by Orson Scott Card
The Pern Series by Anne McCaffrey
Next by Michael Crichton
Grendel by John Gardner
The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand
and to take it down a notch...
The Astonishing Adventures of Fanboy and Gothgirl by Barry Lyga

Beats me. I'm figuring it's something I wouldn't like. I never really check out anything, but the books from the only fantasy publisher in the country. And they're still selling oldies mostly. And some pretty good Russian writer fantasy books. Inama nushif, al asir hiy ayish Lia-anni. Zaratha zarati. Kali bakka a tishuf ahatt Al hudad alman dali

Let's see, I have a list and soon enough I'll come back with another list... and another...
The Stranger The Power and the Glory The Feed How to Kill a Mockingbird The Restruant at the End of the Universe (still working on reading other Douglas Adam books) Some of Poe's writings like, "The Pit and the Pendulum" Mark Twain's, "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court" The Hobbit and The Two Towers, by J. R. R. Tolkien Dark Warrior Rising, by Ed Greenwood (published by TOR) The Supernaturalist Blood and Chocolate MONSTER Tangerine Flipped Walk Two Moons Polgara Starplace Frankenstein The Odyssey Call of the Wild
I like the Sword of Truth novels too (stopped at volume eight) but Terry Goodkind's writing can be over the top at times.
You guys know that Forgotten Realms (D&D) isn't just by Wizards of the Coast right? TSR has some holdings and some of the authors write for other publishers like TOR. Yes, I have found a loophole.
I'll be back with more. My brain is kinda dead at the moment.

(Its a long list) Alright, Pratchett fans! I'd recommend "Equal Rites" since it wasn't on anyone's list yet... hilarious as are all his others. I love the footnotes. I started doing that in all my papers in school after that.
