Romuel Gen, without your marvelous story, this image wouldn't have been thrust into my head. You have a -much- stronger sense of story, and use time in ways I'll never be able to. My head is always stuck in visual moments. My only use of time is finding words that can generate Matrix-cam. Plot can be learned, but you have a knack for description that is unique, interesting, and clear that is very difficult to learn. I should know; I'm trying to. Romuel BTW: Variation occurred while reading Gen's work and listening to: Yuki Kajiura: Nowhere (Madlax Soundtrack) [Doll Falling] Yoko Kanno, Origa ft Shanti Snyder: Rise [Everything else] Not recommended for the faint of heart. Remind me to sneak onto your harddrive and steal your music. heart Re: second chapter - I love your pull in of consistent themes and mythic themes. The whole "pillar of salt" thing is amazing, and you describe whiteout's involvement beautifully. Gorgeous, sweetie; simply gorgeous.

WOW. eek
I am so loving this. You are like, the master of descriptive imagery. It's just so easy to see your writing become reality. That Chaos/Shadow Combo Attack was a brilliant use of power melding/complimenting, and Whiteout's Strobe ability was just as clever. Plus the second part has a contrast with the first part, since it adds more context to the events, but the difference isn't jarring or confusing. They feel well connected... I'm not sure what I'm trying to say here... I guess that the first and second part complement each other well.
Warg, I don't know what else to add. gonk Just know that I love what you have so far and want to see more. heart

Will said it all. You've given us another great Combo Attack, and the writing is as stellar as in the first two chapters. Sonic Alpha plus Aero Alpha power... really scary, if it can level an area like that... and Jillian actually has to be strapped to something! eek
By the way, what's the significance of calling it "John 1"?
Please keep writing. It's wonderful. heart

Deoridhe Rommy, you are a phenominal field coordinator... how did you learn to think in combos and trios like that? *gapes* Years and years of combo-specific rpg's. I was planning on doing short pieces in which the students have to face situations where their powers are a liability. I'm thinking of calling it 'Room 101'.
