Nightwing let his smile brighten a bit, now that the talk of worse things was behind them. He walked alongside her his eyes glancing upwards to watch as the dark of night slowly lightened, the deep blue becoming soft.
He turned his attentions back onto Maura and nodded at her words. "I would love to meet again tomorrow night, this evening was quite enjoyable. The open glade to the south?" He looked at her uncertainly, not knowing of any other glade, though she seemed to know of the most secret places.
"We could go into the village perhaps? Try to mingle a bit with the humans? Many keep their stands open late into the evening..."

"Mmhmm, the one with all the flowers," Maura replied, covering a yawn with her hand. She considered it, having not been to the village in a long time. She used to go there a lot, but then lost her reasons to. But to go with Nightwing, it sounded like fun.
"Sounds good to me," she added with a nod of her head.
The rest of the way was in relative silence as they traveled back to the mountains. The sun was still a few minutes away from dawn when they finally climbed up to where the clan usually roosted. A long-haired female, a few finger-widths taller than Maura, waved at them. Maura waved back before turning her attention to Nightwing.
"Or, you could just meet me here, I never really thought about it, but this is where I usually sleep. Would you rather I wait here for you?" she asked quickly, not wanting to keep him too long.

Nightwing nodded at her glad that she had agreed, he hadn't been to see the human village in a few nights and he liked to keep an eye on things.
As they reached the cliffside he glanced at the long haired female curiously before glancing at the sky. He was cutting it awfully close, he wasn't sure if he could get to his usual spot in time. "Well...actually if you wouldn't mind maybe I could stay here? I'm not sure if I can reach my usual spot before sunrise..." Already he could tell the sky was lighting up.

Maura smiled. She didn't mind at all.
"Of course you can. I'm sorry we didn't get back in time," she apologized, glancing once at the horizon as it got lighter.

He nodded and moved beside her his wings spreading out as he lifted his claws to face the rising sun.
He turned to her and smiled, his friendly face a bit at odds with his intimidating posture.
"I'm glad we're such good friends now Maura." He turned back but before he could growl the sun froze his features in stone, a smile on his face.
