Sirus shook his head and dropped the other quail beside the first one and sat beside Mephi. The fire burned brightly as Sirus held his hand out to it, keeping it warm.

"It's just that it's usually so cold in the dark,"

The darkness is only cold if you have no one to keep you warm. He fell silent, looking down to the flames, then shook his head and looked back to Sirus. Did your parents ever cook your food, or did you just eat it raw?

"Mother cooked it, father ate it raw. I don't mind it either way," he said.

He huddled close to Mephi, and leaned against him. Still staring into the warmth of the fire. Mephi is all he had now, he won't let him go.

He blinked a little, and looked down to the cub who cuddled so close to him..nodding slightly to his response. He picked up one of the quails, and began to pluck it's feathers. Apparently, he was quite used to this, as he made quick work of it, and handed the naked bird to Sirus, so that he could do what he liked with it.

Sirus nibbled on the meat, taking small bites and swallowing. He was mostly concerned with staying close to Mephi. He felt the pain of loneliness disappear slowly as he could feel warmth from Mephi. He purred lightly as he started to chew on a leg.

"Thank you Mephi,"  

[Tonrio]

a young man around the age of 18 walks through the tall grasses leaveing them undistrubed as much as he can to leave no tracks of where he had treaded, being hunted for disobeing the king of a land far from this place, his body firm and lean with muscles, was tattered and brusied from many fights and run ins with bounty hunters, black leather boots upon his feet, baggy black leggins covering strong long legs, a headband holding back some of his silver hair allowing strands to lay over his brow and the sides to curve along his jawline, his hands covered with knuckless gloves with one finger still on that being the middles. he silently rushes through the feild to the large tree. he stops and rest his back pressed up to the tree as he pants softly. he looks from side to side for anysigns of life other then his own, for lifeforms that would wish to harm him. his lonsword rests on his back wraped in barbed wire in its sheath. the boy Tonrio sits and rests some beliveing he can relax at least for now.

He had started plucking the feathers from his woan bird, nodding faintly to Sirus. You're welcome, Sirus.This cuddling was unusual to him, he had never have the chance to be cuddled before now. He was just about start gnawing away on his own bird, when he got a weird feeling. He looked out the opening of the cave, the tree within his line of sight.. but due to the newcomers position, he didn't see him, only sensed that there was something out there. ....He shook his head, and started eating the bird in his hands, trying to ignore the sensation, since his eyes did not reveal what his senses had picked up, yet.

the boys ears twiched slightly at the sound of eating. he tenced up and looked around to find the sorce. his hands balled up in a fist , ready to give whatever it was a hard fight if he had to. he stands and walks out from behind the tree looking about a bit boldly, his long bushy talk flickering behind him. he sees nothing and he relaxes some and sits down under the tree again trying to stay calm. " Damn them... my nerves are shot now." he looks up and decides mayber its better to be up high, there no one would look for him. with a smirks he lundges up into the branches and sits up on a high strong branch. he is as silent as a mouse in the grass, though to him its not so silent, his ears can pick up some of the slightest sounds due to his training.

Both of his ears pivoted to the sound of speech, and he turned his head, ripping another bite of the fowl's meat away from it's carcass before he put it down by the fire. Turning slightly, he put his hand on Sirus' shoulder, and put a finger to his own muzzle, signifying the other stay quiet while he was gone. Silent as death he crept to the opening of the cave, just in time to see someone disappear up into the tree. Narrowing his eyes he suspected an intruder, seeing as they were sneaking about. He stalked on all fours into the high, golden grass, his markings helping him to stay hidden..

Sirus watched as Mephi left the cave, silently creeping away. He chewed on the bone he was still holding, huddling close to the fire for warmth. But the darkness was starting to frighten him, he didn't want to be alone. Sirus droped the bone and creeped after Mephi, slowly crawling towards the tree.  

[Tonrio]

hears the padding of footsteps comeing from the cave. his gold eyes glare though the branches showing where he was quite clear. he voice rang out "By the Gods where did you come from boy?" he held his chest looking down at the sirus boy. he fades away only to show up next to the cave entrence. his ears pined back being causious yet courious about the boy that showed up out of no where so it seemed till his brain caught up with the rest of him. " were you the one in this cave i heard? or is it him?" he points to a small russel in the tall grass.

The disappearance and reappearance of the intruder, addressing Sirus alerted him. At full speed he ran back, putting himself between the intruder and the boy, making the most ferocious sound he was capable of. Stay away from him! He hissed, trying to make himself look bigger than he was.. truth was, the intruder was maybe double his size..

Sirus froze when the stranger adressed him. He looked up, the size of the man frightening him. He felt Mephi rush over and stand between him and the stranger. He sighed in relife and clung onto Mephi's leg, peaking out at the other man.  

[Tonrio]

the boy tilted his head to the side and laughed his tail twitchinghis kanines showed as his body prepares to defend itself while he laughed. " you act as if i was to eat you two." he said looking around " i knew there was another but you were well hidden. anyway why would i want to harm any of you. i may be able to use you two to help me." his eyes flickered gold and sliver as he leans against the cave wall.

He did not relax, or let his guard down. You have some nerve coming into my territory as you have..Who are you, and what do you want? He just didn't like the way this guy seemed.. but then again, Mephisto did have a weird thing about who was and wasn't allowed in his territory. Something about this guy seemed...off, and he couldn't bring himself to trust him.
