"Whoah, relax!" He finished up, swallowed and spoke again as the bunny threatened cardiac arrest. "That's precisely why I'm asking - you seem to be so...sensitive about it. So I'm thinking, what gives?"
"And - I think you should know that I'm really not joshing when I say it won't make a difference," he hastened to mention, tail rapidly flicking to and fro, "it's really alright with me. All the mess we went through the last time - you know, after the...ah...hairdryer incident - I was just joking around, I don't have a problem. Really. You know me - I wouldn't, uh, think of you any differently no matter what. I just think that I wanna set the record straight on this."
"...Er, no pun intended."

Finally he met that gaze - held it, dark eyes still and unreadable. Finally his lips parted - but before the words could slip through, he abruptly sealed them shut again. He looked down; the mood had changed, he'd changed his mind with it.
"I don't think about things like that," he picked up a hitherto forgotten berry, dipping it with a measured swoop, "I don't think about women. But I don't particularly think about guys either." A neat bite - then a weak laugh: "I'm a full-time academic, I worry about my essays instead…I don't have blood in my veins, I've got printer ink."

He'd let it slide earlier - and he would return the unspoken favour. "Well then," a pleasant, non-commital remark, "'least you won't have to worry about Gen!" There were, of course, several fallacies in that statement, but it was a good end to the topic that had barely started.

He flushed again. "Lit joke," he coughed, then mock-rolled his eyes a little playfully, "I guess you haven't changed that much."

The mention of college proper prompted a stormcloud to settle on his face. "I like the papers; the lessons are fine," he mumbled, picking at the bedspread moodily, "the collegey bits -" his ears reared a little in agitation - then fell again, "ah, I don't want to talk about it." He reached for another strawberry, sinking his teeth into it viciously.

He glared up at him, but made no move to murder: "I'll tell you what, college is a bitchy place," he snapped, performing a minor chocolate-strawberry culling. "I don't know what they think is so weird about bunny ears - people walk around with bunny bands all over the place...these stupid bunny ears are only good for jaguar-bait..." a just-barely-audible grumble.

There was a smirk that revealed a fang, and he patted the afore-mentioned ears fondly. "They're very nice bunny ears," he said as he eyed the rapidly decreasing berry population and swiftly pipped a couple before Juli devoured the rest.
"And now that we're out of strawberries, it's time to make up for the ones you finished with them ears -" whereupon he made a gleeful grab at the white fur.

"MaxweEELLLLLLLLL!!!" culminating in an ear-rending shriek as he sprung back, only to be caught in place by the offending paw around his left ear. "I KNEW THIS WHOLE THING WAS JUST A SETUP!!!"

He laughed wickedly for a good while, then tweaked the tip, assuring him that he was "just kidding, kidding!" He'd let go before he noted that "they're good without chocolate, too."

He sniffed distastefully, smoothing out the velvety fur, "You'll never change enough - but I'll take what I can get." Shooting him a brief dirty look, he slid under the covers and plumped a pillow. "I am going to sleep now," he informed the jaguar, tossing his hair back and laying his head down, "Switch off the light on your way out - and clean up that mess!"
