Setsushi is fine, he tells Kouyo -- 'fine' being that meaningless, muddled state of too many thoughts and too little understanding, feelings too diffuse to be intelligible as either positive or negative. He gazes at the book sitting on the table for a moment, then slowly shakes his head; his heart is in confusion, and he will not know what to tell Kouyo until he has reflected on it further.
He then rubs his face with his large, human-sized hand, his face distorting unflatteringly as he massages his eyes. His heart may be in confusion, but his body is certainly not confused about being sore and tired, he jokes. Perhaps it's time for him to take that shower.
He creaks back up to his feet and starts lumbering towards the bathroom, sending a smile and pleasant thoughts back to Kouyo. The priest knows where the bedding's stored, if he feels like getting to sleep right away.

Kouyo nods and drinks the last of his soup, then stands to take his dish to the sink. He is not sure if he will be able to sleep yet, but he might as well get his things out and curl up on the floor anyway. Spending some time in meditation can only make things better, and the High Priest does not really feel like doing much else tonight.
... Though he does want to take a look at Setsushi's new history book sometime when he is feeling more up to it.

From the bathroom, Setsushi notes in a humorous but somewhat dark tone that he is not sure they should dignify that work of literature there with the name 'history.'
His subsequent brooding doesn't last long, though, as the delight of warm running water quickly chases away Setsushi's negative thoughts. Setsushi is still Water, after all, even so far from their homeland.
