I'm sorry this games is going to be nothing like WoW, IMO WoW failed miserably, *Sighs* So much potential... Here is a rant done by Ratboy about the rip off thing. RantnessWoW focuses to much on Grinding and Raiding and not enough and War...We should just call it World of Questcraft. The only reason I'm still playing it or still want to is I like my guild that I'm in, but anyway I'm going to get to Brass Taks. I am most defenetly playing a Black Orc charcter, Also I am going to make it my mission to slay All Elves named Legolas in all manors and all the Dwarfs named Gimli... The onlything I am not looking forward to is the innitial and continual flow of Elfs of both kins.

I have read some articles on this game and interests have struck me. I'm sure it's not going to be a WoW of Warhammer. So, if I decide to purchase this game, I will be of Chaos, and some of you may tell if it is me by the following, I will kill any WoW noob that may own a copy of the game and relate or say anything of this game to that of WoW. I will kill any Elf or Dwarf that has any LotR references, thanks for reminding me Bane. And other stuff I may list in the near future.

Yha, if you See a Black Orc name Ugrosh Running around, just shout, it'll be me... People need to come up some Originole names...I also think I'll see a few Thralls and stuff from WoW... the initial n00bness isn't gonna be fun but that what killing em is for.

I gotta say I'm saddened by the initial race selection. That is, not that the selections by the developers were poor, but only that there's only six. Now, of course, I realize the monumental undertaking involved in each and every additional race and there was probably a long and painful think tank about the "right" number of races.
But one of my favorite elements of both fantasy battle and 40k was the HUGE number of armies, and even the number of races within each army. It seems like to limit players to 1 of 6 seems a little ... contrary to the feel of fantasy battle.
...or maybe I just want to be a Skink. Either way.
I'm not too worried about it becoming WoW, not that I would mind that in the first place since I'm a WarCraft addict - but the two universes are so vastly different in feel and style that I wouldn't begrudge one or the other their differences.
And while I DO trust Mythic to some extent because I loved DAoC, I'm worried after the spectactular failure of everything RvR related... razz

Empire vs Chaos, Orc vs Dwarf, High Elf vs Dark Elf. That answer your question? Anywho, it was stated that this isn't going to be like WoW, and if you see, or read anything about it then would have found that out too.

The thing with these games is: You can't win them all. There will always be people in disagreement over the choices made.

Totally in agreement in both cases.
I'll still pick it up, and play a full-blooded Orc warrior of some sort.
But eventually, I'd like to be a Lizardman.

The game will be aiming at reeling in people who quit WoW, as Mythic told some magazine in an interview. I just hope that they present some original classes that are unique to Warhammer and not the normal fantasy crap.
Welp, if all else fails, I'll be a dwarfen slayer, but until I know for sure, I'm pinning for either an Empire handgunner, engineer or witch hunter. We all have our dreams.

So, what's the problem, it's not like they're going to cancel the making of the game.
