Julian had followed after the vampires barely managing to keep up. He was a bit out of breath from following them but he was able to watch the scene from across the street. A slight smirk crossed his lips as he was gonna wait to see how Marc was going to react. He brought a hand up slowly and brushed some wet hair out of his eyes. Julian had no plans of interfering with Marc's fight. Though with the goons outside he could still have a little fun.

With the fight underway and the goons outside, this was his chance. Though what would be the fun of shooting them without them knowing their killer. That just wasn't who he was. Slowly he reached down and took both his guns into his hands. Taking them out of their holsters he held them at his sides aiming down as he began to walk toward the vampires guarding the door.

His eyes were looking downward as he slowly made his way across the street. One of the goons noticed him approaching. "Hey, you there, you better get out of here while you still can." The other goons noticed him as well and another one spoke. "He's got guns, is he a hunter too?"

Hearing the comments Julian slowly came to a stop and he lifted his head to see his enemies. His eyes moved from vampire to vampire and he chuckled a bit. "Your boss doesn't stand a chance against him." Julian said with a slight chuckle. "Vampire scum will all die in the end after all. My name is Julian Cole, it's unfortunate you'll have to remember my name in hell." Without hesitation he pulled his guns up aiming for the two who had spoken. Julian pulled his trigger three times each firing three shots into each of them.

The bullets hit the vampires in the chest tearing into them before embedding inside. Both the vampires yelled in pain as the silver in his bullets ended their existance. Julian chuckled slightly seeing them fall to the ground. That was two down, but he knew the others would be a handful now that he had killed their comrades. Knowing Ben and Catherine, hearing that many shots fired, they would eventully show up.

((There, left some. That way Jessie and Skittles have a chance to fight the rest. If they show up in time.))

Slowly putting on her pack and lifting herself up she nodded and walked over to her walking stick. It was broken and burnt, she rubbed tears from her eyes and carefully removed the holy cross from it and placed it in a pocket at the side of her pack. She'd have to make a new one by the looks of it. Although she was quite shaken from the earlier event, she didn't seem that bad off. Sticking close to Ben so nothing else would happen, she would focus on trying to get rid of her tears before they found her brother and he would start to ask questions as to what had happened. She never did like crying, but sometimes she did, the worst thing was when others saw her doing it.

When the gunshots came after the delay of sound travel Catherine looked up at Ben with a rather teary face with a look that said. "What do we do boss?"

Marc threw another punch at Kariya, but this was also dodged. He followed up with a left, and then another right, followed by a kick, but they all missed.

"You're so reckless. I can sense this is not your true style though," Suddenly Kariya's fingertips grew, changing into pointy claws. "Have some of this!" He stabbed at Marc's chest with his razor sharp fingers. The stab almost hit but Marc side-stepped. He used the momentum from Kariya's lunge by grabbing him by the wrist and throwing him foreward. Kariya fell over, his wrist still controlled by Marc.

"Oh, I'm reckless, huh?" Marc laughed. He squeezed Kariya's wrist, putting more and more pressure into it until there was a crack and his hand contorted in pain.

"DAMN YOU!" Kariya thought, his eyes glowing. Marc let go of the wrist finally, allowing Kariya to scramble away and stand up.

"What do you think of me now?" Marc bragged.

"Hmph," Kariya suddenly had an arrogant look on his face.

"What the ******** are you smiling about?! How are you gonna fight if you can't even use your hand?!"

"Don't think you've won, because you're not even close," There was a popping noise and Marc realized it was Kariya's wrist. It contorted in the same way it had when Marc broke it but it was going backwards. There were a few more pops and cracks, and soon Kariya was using the hand again, stretching it as if it was new.

"Huh?" Marc looked dumbfounded.

"There. It feels a bit weird, but it'll be enough to kill you," Kariya inspected his wrist, not looking at Marc.

"Hey you! I just broke your wrist and you're not even paying attention! You want me do it again?"

"Come at me," Kariya said, the fingertips on both hands extending into claws.

"Cocky b*****d," Marc though. "Fine, this time I won't let go 'till I break your whole arm!" The two went at it again, this time the rallies were more prolonged and fluid. There were no critical strikes landed for a few good minutes of action.

"You're not too bad. My apologies for under-estimating you," Kariya huffed. "What is this feeling I'm getting? He gives off a unique aura. He's definatly not like any Hunter I've faced before. I must be careful!"

"Shut up," Marc breathed heavily too. They went back to fighting, lunging at each other with every move, both confident in their abilities.

"This is over!" Kariya shouted, a clawed hand diving towards Marc's heart. The move didn't go as planned because Marc's fingers slipped between Kariya's, stopping the lunge there. "How did he-?!" A look of fear crossed Kariya's face as he realized that he was in a bad position.

"Yeah, it's over, for you!" Marc shouted. Desperatly, Kariya tried to use his inferior hand to attack but it was in vain. Marc's punches brushed it aside easily as it went towards Kariya's face. He landed many of them because Kariya was not able to defend until he was laying on the floor helpless, his face a bloody mess.

Marc pulled out the gun from his waist, pointing it between Kariya's eyes. The dazed Vampire beneath him stared at the pistol, his eyes crossed. Marc could tell the Bloodsucker was barely conscious.

"What is your name?" As Kariya spoke he spat blood out of his mouth. Marc looked taken back by the question but he didn't choose to neglect it.

"Marc Gareth." Kariya's dazed eyes seemed to flicker for a second, a moment of understanding in a cloud of confusion.

"I see," Kariya said weakly. "Now I know what you are. There was something weird about you, though I couldn't tell what it was. You tried to hide it earlier by fighting like a fool but you can't hide it. It's impssible to mask your true self! You are-" There was the sound of a death, ringing not only through the tea shop, but through the town. Kariya lay below Marc Gareth with a hole between his eyes, blood leaking through it.

"I am who I am," Marc thought, standing up. "That's not your problem anymore."

"Catherine..." Ben started, hearing the rapid gun fire boom through the surrounding town. Everything seemed to be looming closer into them now that the action was beginning. It was always this way for Ben, any kind of fight some how, some way made the fabric of the surrounding small, as if he was growing and he could look down at everyone, and crush them with his feet. It was a stupid notion, and completly useless now. It was time to go, time to act. Whether Marc and Julian had things covered was not in question, it was about covering their asses, and Ben was doing that more often than not.

"Let's go." In one great swoop he had her things in his hand and as gently as he could muster, handed her them, and proceeded towards the direction he was almost certain the gunfire sounded from. Between a few buildings he dodged town people who were peeking out of their doors and windows to see what was going on. Ben just shook his head at them, even in a time like this curiosity was still stronger than the will to survive. It really did kill the cat, or better yet, humanity.

Ben pulled back his head quickly as a single bullet shot off almost chipping the side of his temple, and landed through the roof of a down trodden house, and clipped off the storm drain. Sighing, Ben imagined what it would have looked like had the bullet actually struck his head. There was a lot of red, and a bit of gore, but luckily, the lady was on his side. Catherine was behind him, since it was clear that she was not going to head off anywhere alone, especially not with what previously happened. Watching intently for Julian, Ben stared down at someone who was not of human blood and DNA, and cocked his head slightly.

"What the hell are you--" Before this sorry b*****d could answer, Ben had him by the throat and forced him around the corner and out of eyesight of Catherine, and wasted no time on drawing out his sword, and cracked his neck, watching his body fall silently to the ground. "Catherine, let's go." Ben spoke up above the nearby silence, and waited for her to join him in the town square. "I can see your brother."

((I changed my mind and decided to post. Though, it'll be the end of the vampires, that's just cause the boss is dead now, so, the goons should be killed off. XP
Edit: I was in the middle of typing this post out when Skittles posted just so you know, but the way it looks, it shows that Ben and Catherine witness the end of his fight.))

Looking down at his kills he let out a slight laugh as he looked up again toward the other two. His eyes were almost hidden from view because of his wet hair. The rain didn't bother him, not when he was taking on vampires. It actually made the situation feel even better. "Two down, two to go. I thought vampires would put up a better fight then this." He aimed his guns toward both of the remaining goons.

Fearing that Julian would pull the trigger before he had a chance to move the vampire to his right ran from the door. He wasn't running away, just drawing the gun fire away from the other. This tactic actually seemed to work as Julian aimed his guns toward the one that started running. Julian fired multiple times at the vampire but, he easily avoided the bullets.

The second vampire used this to his advantage and ran at Julian. It took him a few strides to reach the hunter. "The blood of a hunter, I can taste it already!" The vampire said with a laugh as he assumed Julian wouldn't realize the tactic. Balling his hand into a fist he punched toward Julian's face.

Julian didn't expect the second vampire to move so quickly but, he still figured out he was there. He tried to avoid the punch but, it didn't work and the vampire hit him in the side of the face. Just before the punch connected he had moved his gun over and aimed at the vampire. Firing his weapoin once more he was able to hit a critical spot with his bullet. The vampire was dead but, the punch still landed. The next thing he knew, he was on the ground and the vampire he killed landed ontop of ********... that hurt." He said while wincing in pain from the punch. There was already a bruise forming along with a slight cut. Noticing the vampire ontop of him he instinctively fired his weapon a few more times before shoving the corpse off of his body. As he was getting up there was a gun that went off inside the tea house. A slight smirked crossed his lips as he looked at the last vampire. "See, I told you that your boss wouldn't win."

The remaining vampire turned toward the tea house sensing that his boss indeed was defeated. "b*****d hunters..." The goon said with a clear hate for all hunters. Next thing Julian knew, the vampire made a break for it trying to run away.

Julian blinked slightly at the cowardice and without thinking yelled out what was on his mind. "Hey, get the ******** back here you coward of a vampire." He hated when they ran and didn't want to run after him. Julian holstered one of his guns before holding one in both hands. He aimed toward the vampire running away and steadied his aim before pulling the trigger. Moments later the buller hit it's mark. This time he got a headshot and watched as the vampire dropped to the ground dead. Letting out a slight sigh he slowly holstered his other weapon. "Injured by a goon, how pathetic."

((Well there, hopefully that was good. I thought it would be good to have a little bit of everything from the goons.))

Catherine hated this sometimes, running around everywhere, back and forth, back and forth. She was purposely trying to focus her mind on other things, this was helping her. Watching her brother kill off the last vampire with a head shot, and Ben killing one by breaking it's neck and cutting it, she shook her head a little. "Even if they are evil, why do we always have to kill them?" Without doing anything unusual, Catherine slowly walked over to the vampire which Ben had killed and pulled out a stake which she quickly plunged into the beasts heart and then she took out a match and light the stake on fire. In an instant the vampire was in flames. The liquids soaked into the wood being highly flammable, they burned and spread to the body. Catherine turned to look at Ben and gave a nod and then ran over to him to follow him to her brother.

The vampire burning behind her she thought of it's corrupt soul being released at last. "Rest in damnation..."

(((How can it be on fire? It's raining, but whatever.)))

Sounds of footsteps were heard as Marc was seen coming out of the tea shop. He dragged the corpse of the dead Vampire Kagetoki Kariya behind him by the collar of his shirt. He threw the body in a pile with the rest of the Vampires, the fire that Catherine had ignited spreading to all of them.

Marc knew they would ask what had happened so he saved them the effort.

"So that's that. A bunch of Bloodsuckers started a fight with me, then this boss guy came for no reason," He lied, not wanting them to know it was he who had started it. "Too bad there's no Station we can hand in these corpses around here."

Hunter Stations were buildings set up everywhere so Hunters could gather for all sorts of reasons. Primarily, it was a place that Hunters could hand in corpses of the Vampires for money. Since there was no Station around here, they had basically killed these Vampires for nothing.

Pretty soon, the people living closest to the tea shop saw the burning bodies from their windows. More and more people came out to see the Vampires burning, glad that their oppressors were dead. Not wanting to hang around to see the celebrations, Marc turned around to leave.

There was a tug on his sleeve of his coat. Marc looked over his shoulder and saw a young girl. She was younger than Catherine and maybe in even worse shape. She was vile and dirty, wearing a poor peasant's dress. A little behind her was her mother who didn't look any better. As celebration's began, the girl spoke to Marc.

"Please, sir, accept this," Marc had not noticed it earlier but in one hand she held a small wad of bills. She extended it to him. "My father was killed by Vampires. He's dead so we don't have a lot, I hope this is eno-"

"This is it?" Marc swiped the bills and counted them. He sighed and pocketed them. "It'll do," He said as walked away.

***

Meanwhile, one of the villagers wasn't partaking in the joy. A shadowy figure, standing at the edge of the street, turned away into the alley.

"Very interesting," The person said. A voice in the alley that nobody but him could hear spoke:

"Yes. They managed to kill Kagetoki Kariya and his Vampires."

"Kariya was nothing. He's just another weakling."

"So then what's so interesting?"

"I have a feeling..."

"What is it?"

"That someday we are going to fight them... and when that day comes, we are going to kill them all."

Ending Theme: Rise Up

(((I just kind of made that up. I'm not good at finishing episodes, but I can see that I'm, and especially you guys, getting better at this thing too. This is the end of the episode, I'm probably gonna make a new one tommorow.)))

A slope rose from the ground, rising and turning into a hill that stood over endless fields bellow. A light, frivolous wind blew, carving its path into the grass. Tall, summer reeds danced in the breeze, moving to and fro, south and north, east and west. Morning dew still hung on to the edge of the blades of grass. A tall but crooked tree was the pinnacle of the green hill. No fruit but nuts grew on it and they rarely fell. It appeared that nobody was there among the tall grass.

"Kenny? Where are you? I know you're here! Come on, it's almost dinner!" A girl walked up the hill, the grass reaching up to her knees. She was still a child, maybe ten or eleven years old. She had large, deer eyes and dusty brown hair in a ponytail, freckles going from cheek to cheek. She wore torn jeans and a shirt with some sort of brand name on it. "Come on, it's not funny!"

She walked up to the tree and climbed on one of its thick roots, but still she saw nothing.

"Kenny..." She sighed dissapointedly, it looked like he really wasn't there. Then, as if shot out of a cannon, something zoomed towards her in the grass in a zig-zag pattern. It left a trail of broken stalks of grass behind it as it cut through reeds like a shark through water. As it approached the tree, it leaped out, a dark shadow emerging into the sunlight. The girl had no time to scream but only to brace herself, except she wasn't hit. She peered from behind her crossed hands and saw her brother.

"Kenny!" She shouted. He was a few inches taller and they had a similiar face except his was more boyish. His hair was darker and shorter, his skin was also slightly burnt. This was probably from working in the fields. He also wore worker's jeans and a white t-shirt which was stained from the grass.

"Did you like that trick, Erika?" He chuckled, grabbing her and pulling her to the ground with him. They sat against the tree trunk, his arm affectionatly around her.

"I guess, but how did you do that?" She said, looking at him both admirably. There was a small sense of fear in her eyes as she looked at him, maybe because she hesitated when she spoke to him. Perhaps she was stunned by what he just did.

"Sorry, it's a trick only boys can do!" He teased, laughing at his own joke sincerely.

"That's no fair!" Her face turned cross.

"I'm kidding, I'm kidding," Kenny calmed down though a goofy smile remained on his face. A silent moment passed by before either of them spoke.

"What were you doing up here, Kenny?"

"Huh?"

"Were you looking at clouds again?"

"Uh... yup." He confirmed. She looked into the blank sky and frowned.

"But there's no clouds today!"

"There were but they ran away when you came," Kenny teased again. They both began to quabble but Kenny ended. "Stop, stop... Erica, stop!" He pointed down to the foot of the hill where a small person was waving to them, motioning them to come down. The person's words weren't very clear but it sounded like:

"Come! Come!"

"It's mom," Erica said.

"Yeah, probably dinner. Let's go." They both began to walk down the hill, close together. Below them was a stretch of irrigated farm fields with many people working. Well, they were, but at the moment they seemed to be packing it for dinner.

"Everybody looks so small from here," Erica noticed.

"Yeah, little people." Kenny used his thumb and index finger to squeeze their small outlines from the hill, pretending to lift them.

"Haha, yeah! They're so small you could just pick them up!"

Yup. Pick them up and drink their blood," Kenny said, a dark look crossed his face. His eyes narrowed but his iris grew, consuming the white around and turning light, almost amethyst. It left as quickly as it happened and his sister had noticed her brother restraining his powers.

"What?" Erica asked, looking a bit confused.

"Nothing. Hey, let's roll down the hill!" He pulled her down and they both began to roll down the steep slope, laughing merrily as they tumbled down to the village below.

Opening Theme: Hiji Zuru Style

The group walked down a narrow path, the fields to the side were flooded by irrigated water. It was summer and crops were still growing in this village.

The rag-tag group droned on, their stomachs empty and growling. Marc slouched as he walked, carrying his jacket over his shoulder. His hunger was causing him to be severly frustrated. There was nowhere around where they could eat, it was all farms and no stores or restaurants. Even Catherine's crappy sandwhiches were starting to look pretty good now but they were fresh out of that too. Plus, it was starting to get dark and they had nowhere to go. Usually they would camp but they were in a village, there had to be some sort of shitty local hotel they could go to.

"So," Marc began again, "We're broke. We're hungry. We have no place to stay tonight. And to top it off, we hunt Vampires," Said Marc, clearly the pessimist. It was not unlike him to complain when things weren't going well. "Oh, and you guys understand, right, that if any of us were to die right now everyone else gets to eat their body?" It was probably nothing, but as he said that he looked at Julian through the corner of his eyes, giving off a crazed cannibal aura.
PostPosted: Tue Jan 27, 2009 9:50 pm

Julian let out a slight sigh as was clearly just as hungry as the rest of them. Walking was tough enough and Marc's complaining wasn't really helping anybody. At least the heat of the summer wasn't as bad due to the sun starting to go down. Though, the dark was usually ruled by vampires which made things quite dangerous. He reached up slowly and rubbed his cheek which still showed slight signs of the injury he got during his last fight.

He chuckled slightly at Marc's comment about eating whoever dropped dead from starvation. Glancing toward him he could see his mind thinking only of eating. "Heh, with all that bitching and complaining you've been doing, I think you'd actually be the first to die. It must take quite the effort to keep it up." He smirked slightly. "Though, I think I'd rather die of starvation if that were the case."

To say the least, Ben could care less about eating, he was neither here nor there on the subject. The rest of them may have untrained bodies for these kinds of harsh enviornment, however, Ben merely pushed through them as if merely tangible objects standing in his way. Hunger? He had none, aside from wanting to do his job to ensure the safety of future generations, or perhaps his own a**. Perhaps even theirs, Ben looking back at the others from the corners of his eyes, and wondering if this was one of those moments if he wondered if it was worth it or not. Marc and Julian estranged unfriendly vocational relationship, Catherine's obvious silence that could kill anyone, and of course, the banter and scatter brained complaining that Ben had expected.

Huffing, Ben continued on, acting as if his body could travel on for days without sustence, which was true to some small degree. Ben could probably last a few days without food and water, with their job, it wasn't the brightest idea, but he could do it, and that is all that mattered. Them however, was a different matter. Ben had to wonder all the ways he could alleviate their grievences, though nothing came to mind, the thought still counted, right? Ben then stopped, suddenly, and stared off into the distance, as Marc spoke about eating someone if they dropped dead. That was disturbing, but why seem disgusted our confused, wasn't that part of the entire Marc package?

That being said, Ben continued on his way, taking long enough strides for his own comfort, but not so far as to be putting distance between his own person and his teammates. Dark was falling upon them with each passing minute, shelter was in order, and since they were without practically everything, it was best to start calculating ideas that would spark efficient notions of safety, since at their current state, were vulnerable to an attack on all fronts. When leaving vampires to their own devices, they were capable of darkly, sickly evil things.

"We need to start covering our hides. Have any of you put thought into serious cover for night fall? Or has my mind been wandering for the lot of us?" Ben's voice sounded over them all, though his tone was not that of a cold hard a**, but someone who was generally concerned for their well being.
PostPosted: Fri Jan 30, 2009 1:17 pm

Catherine unable to join in with what was being said had been thinking about what they could do when it came for rest. In response Catherine tugged on Ben's sleeve and held out a piece of paper that had she had written on. "We've camped out before, I have the stuff for a shelter and can create a shield for us, you, Julian and Marc can take turns for watch." Catherine excluded herself, after all, she couldn't talk and what use would she be for watch. She didn't look at Marc but she did roll her eyes at his eating someone if they died comment. "If it's me, you'll choke on my bones." She thought to herself.

Her offer wasn't much but it was the best she could really do, the hardest thing with writing was trying to describe your ideas in the best way possible. Talking them over always made more sense. "If you shut yourself up and stopped blowing all the hot air, you wouldn't be so hungry." Catherine also thought to herself and then quickly blushed a little as her own stomach grumbled for some food. "Quite you!"

"Hey, what was that you b*****d?" Marc scowled at Julian. It was dusk and there were a few people still wandering around, tying up loose ends before they went in for the night. Most people stopped to look at their group as they passed by, more specifically Ben and Marc. Marc because of his foreign style of dressing and Ben because of his huge, blinking sword.

Regarding Ben's questions, Marc sheepishly admitted that he hadn't.

"I thought one of you would think of something." They walked a bit more, their chances of finding a shelter for the night becoming desperate. Not only that, but their stomachs continued to growl loudly.

It was then that two kids stumbled on the group.

"Hey, slow down, will ya?" Erika shouted after her brother, who she struggled to match paces with.

"It's not my fault you're a slowpoke..." Kenny shrugged, looking careless. Erika caught up with her brother, pulling on his shirt from behind.

"Why can't you ever be-" The little girl stopped in mid-sentence, her breath caught in her chest.

"Huh? Why can't I ever be what? Erika, what are you looking at?" Kenny looked at her, confused.

"Look," Erika said quietly, pointing at a strange group of far walking on the path perpendicular to their's. Kenny turned and saw what had surprised his sister. Out of the whole group, his sight remained locked on Ben, who looked most fierce.

"The one with the sword is a hunter," Kenny said, doing little to hide the snide tone in his voice.

"What? Oh, yeah, I guess..." Erika said but she wasn't really paying attention to him.

"Come on, let's hurry home," Kenny turned away but Erika wasn't following him. Instead, she rounded the corner on the path and ran towards the little girl among the group.

Marc followed her with his eyes and was a bit shocked to see the girl stop in front of Catherine. When the girl came to a stop, she seemed at a loss, not having though of what to say.

"Um... hi! You don't look familiar, did you just move into town?" She asked.

(((I'd like for Jessie and Crush to post. It makes sense 'cause Julian would probably have to translate for her, but Monica if you also have something to say then you should post too.)))
PostPosted: Sun Feb 01, 2009 8:32 pm

Julian chuckled slightly at Marc's reaction to what he said. "Oh, it was nothing of course Marc." He sighed a bit the lack of food still on his mind. As they walked he was looking around trying to find someplace where maybe they could have some shelter. His eyes also followed the girl as he could see her stopping in front of his sister and speak to her.

Julian moved toward the other girl and smiled slightly. "Um, talking to my sister may not be the easiest thing to do. She can't really talk, so I usually try my best to understand what she's wanting to say. We actually wouldn't look familier cause we're just simple travellers. We'd just be staying in the town for the night... wait, is there a town nearby?" He looked hopeful that they had come across a place they could get some shelter.

Catherine was taken back by the young girls sudden appearance. Stumbling a little she looked at Ben, then at Jullian who explained that she couldn't speak. "Understand what I am saying! You hardly ever get it right dummy!" Catherine glared for a moment and then brought her gaze to the little girl and smiled a little and shook her head and then carefully walked over to hide herself behind Jullian. Although she wasn't very old herself, Catherine wasn't a big fan of 'other kids'. Not being able to talk was the big reason, she couldn't laugh or have fun, plus being around Jullian, Marc, and Ben had removed most of the child in her, having fun wasn't in her books anymore really.

Catherine wasn't trying to be mean, but what else could she do?
