Senritsu was fiddling with the ribbon on her neck when her eyes set upon the figure of a person a few meters ahead of her. Someone's here? Hm, shouldn't be a bother, I suppose. She began to turn around but didn't even get half way through her direction change before a startling sound forced her green eyes to turn and stare at the older boy. A smirk crossed her lips and she leaned against the tree she was near to watch anything else that would happen. Seemed as though he was having a little inner trouble with whatever caused him to hit the tree in the first place. "You know, you can hurt someone like that. I'm sure it would hurt pretty bad too." Senritsu said, tilting her head so it leaned against the tree as well. Her little friendly smile hinted at her tease towards the stranger. "Good thing trees can't scream in pain, right?" She giggled and walked forward a little with her hands crossed over her chest.

The guy seemed strong, way too strong for little Sen to ever contend with. Senritsu wasn't stupid, and knew when to not pick fights, that's why you befriend strong people. They could be of some sort of use later on in life. This guy seemed to be a loner though, his training alone in the woods was proof enough of that little fact. Her eyes quickly crossed to the boys legs, midsection, chest and arms, measuring how much fat content the boy probably had within her mind. Roughly between 7-15% body fat. That was really good for someone who appears to be a young Shinobi as she was supposed to be. She herself was only 16% body fat, mainly because she never ate that much, other than what she could manage to shoplift from food places around here. Besides that, she needed to stay light on her feet to escape the young shop keepers who could chase her down.

"Hi there, I'm Senritsu. It's a pleasure to meet you. You seem to be a little lonely up here all by yourself, mind some company?" She bowed her head in greeting and smiled brightly to him as she awaited to see if he'd brush her off or greet her as well. It wasn't like she'd be too surprised with either of the reactions. It'd happened plenty of times before where people just turn and return to their business, and stop to say hello before going on about their things.

Sukotto nearly twitched when he heard a soft voice against the wind. He raised one of his eyebrows and turned his shoulders to discover the slender frame of a young girl before him. For a few moments, his mind busied itself, wondering how he had allowed his guard to be down enough so that someone could move behind him without even realizing their presence. He sucked in the chilling air through his nose and allowed the warm air to escape up from his chest and out of his mouth, creating a small stream of fog that looked strikingly similar to the smoke that poured from his mouth after executing a fire jutsu. The Uchiha responded to the girl's first two remarks somewhat plainly, still analyzing the situation, "This tree and I go way back; we're like partners, her and I."

After allowing another stream of steam to take flight from his mouth, the genin lowered his defenses and relaxed. The girl was very pretty for her age with a set of green eyes that seemed as if they had a personality of their own as they sparkled, waiting for his response. Her limbs were particularly long, which would make her a perfect candidate for the taijutsu that Sukotto was developing at the time. A chill wormed its way down his spine and he shifted his eyes back into hers, thinking deeply and responding to her second question at the same time. "Hi there yourself, I'm Sukotto and the pleasure is all mine." Although the color of her eyes were striking, there was something even more apparent that lurked beyond the mere appearance. "After my genin team split up, I began training with our former Kage, Ichi." As he named the man who had taken him in, the chill in his spine intensified while he continued to speak, "When he passed, I began training on my own...."

Sukotto quickly realized that he was making it obvious that something was on his mind and decided to adjust his posture and tone so that he would make the greeting more comfortable. "What I'm trying to say is that I would love to have some company. I hope you don't mind if I continue to train, I feel as though I must complete this very quickly." What had Sukotto so startled was that this girl had a very distinct look in her eye as she addressed him. It was nearly that same look that Ichi had worn when the former Kage had taken Sukotto from the Orochi village years before. There was no doubt about it, Senritsu was an Uchiha.

Senritsu's eyes followed suit to this bewildering male's actions as he turned towards her in silence. The girl wasn't too busy with anything and defintely wasn't in a rush to return to the Academy for another boring day of a man or woman lecturing her for not paying attention or having her run laps for doing something she wasn't supposed to. Her green eyes turned themselves to his lips as he released air into the chill of the afternoon. She snapped from her trance of the wave of air he'd created and repositioned her view to his eyes.

"Ah, partners? Hm, I could see that. The earth is apart of us after all. Being made of so much water as we are, not to mention the sugars we are filled with due to the food the earth provides us. The heat we recieve from the sun is only given the right to reach us because the earth allows it so. As for going 'way back' with a tree? I see no connetion. Unless you hit this tree quite often, or talk to it, it is living, to an extent." Senritsu had shifted her arms behind her, clasping her thin fingers together before shifting her weight to the balls, and heels of her feet repeatitively, slow, and steady. Her green eyes had shifted off to the surrounding area as she spoke and stopped as soon as her last sentence was finished. The eyes of the girl was dead center to his as she awaited any further words from him. She soon got what she was waiting for. So, he was polite as well? He might be a good piece of entertainment for the time being!

Her thoughts held a pause as he spoke of the Kage."Ah, you were in Ichi-sama's Gennin group? Why'd you guys split up? Just because he passed? Hm, that's not a good enough reason if it was in fact the actual fact why you broke apart. The leader of the group may be gone, but you guys were still a team. He should have taught you that. Unless he did, and you've forgotten. Then again, there could be another reason that I don't know about." Senritsu shrugged, before remarking on his training. "So, what exactly is it you are doing?" Her voice clearly showed her interest in the boy named 'Sukotto' 's actions. Senritsu's attention changed ever more as her green eyes turned to the symbol on the boy's clothing. "Hey! My grandma had one of those on her clothes!" Senritsu became silent for a moment. What was the probability of finding someone who may possibly be related to her grandmother? And inevitably, herself. Her eyes solidified as she stared at the older male. It was highly unlikely, but still, it was a probability.

The Uchiha couldn't help but smile at the apparent personality of the girl. She was bright and sprightly, but had a powerful mind and was quick to notice subtle signs. Senritsu would be very good company to have. "I respect and agree with your philosophy about connecting with nature, Senritsu." Sukotto walked over to the tree and lightly placed his hand on the cold and rigid surface, lightly patting it a few times and turning his head to trace its length with his gaze. "This area used to be where my former team trained and this very tree aided me in many different training sessions like running up its length or balancing on its limbs."

After explaining his past connection with the tree, Sukotto moved back into the spot in which he had originally been standing so that he could prepare himself for another attempt at his training session. He spoke as he took position, "My original group was led by a jounin named Shuga. I didn't train under Ichi until we all left that squad." Sukotto turned his head away from Senritsu and eyed the tree once again, except in a much more competitive manner, as if the lumbering beast was challenging him. "We didn't really split up for any specific reason, we all just drifted apart; I believe that it was meant to be." He thought about Kaori and Seshiro for a few moments. Sukotto hadn't seen the Jikan around for quite some time and Seshiro hadn't returned from the mission to his home in Rice Country, so the Uchiha couldn't be sure if his rival was even alive anymore.

As he took a sprinting stance, Senritsu confirmed his feeling about her background by connecting the Uchiha symbol with her grandmother after asking him about his training; he responded to the question and statement accordingly.
"I'm teaching myself a taijutsu that I am in the process of inventing, and my old friend is lending me a hand. I suspect that you and I may be members of the same clan, Senritsu. If that is the case, then I am relieved to know that I'm not the only remaining member in this village." With that said, Sukotto kicked off and dashed towards the tree as fast as he could. If successful, he planned to run up its side and kick off all of the dead and dry limbs from bottom to top. He had originally intended on attempting to break the tree in half, but speaking to Senritsu had reminded him of how much he owed to the tree and he decided against such a harsh action. Unfortunately, as he rushed up the bark of the tree, he failed to account for the frost that had accumulated and ended up slipping. He leaped off of the tree and landed on his feet a few meters away from the tall giant.

Unsure of why Senritsu had suddenly became so quiet, Sukotto decided to go ahead with his training, figuring that perhaps she was caught in her own mind just like he often was. He had narrowly avoided slipping off of the tree and falling all the way down to the bottom of the cliffs, but was lucky enough to have made an escape, ultimately saving himself. The Uchiha heaved a deep sigh out of his chest and through his lips before returning to his starting location and recollecting himself so that he could have another go at the tree. He did his best to shake all of the fear out of his system, for hesitating whatsoever would be an obstacle in the way of completing his goal and the training was already difficult enough. Without another thought, he again began to dash towards the tree as hard and as fast as he could.

As Sukotto ran at the tree, he focused a heavy concentration of chakra in his legs to aid in speeding his approach and to allow him to run up the side of the wooden beast. However, the fear of slipping again got the best of him and he diverted his course, wasting chakra, but avoiding what he felt was a sloppy attempt. He would soon again try and collect himself so that he could complete his training and move onto the next stage in the learning of his new taijutsu.

Sukotto narrowed his eyes and stared down the tree, determined to overcome the challenge that it presented before him. He decided to visualize himself climbing the tree with his chakra. The shinobi imagined the way that he would move from the ground onto the tree, maintaining his chakra flow while aiming for branches with his kicks. He would focus on using agility, endurance, and a good sense of chakra distribution to complete the task. He knew that he had a lot of targets and would have to concentrate his chakra differently than he had previously been doing during the course of this training session. Before this final task, he had merely been practicing combos on the tree. Now however, he would need to maintain a constant flow of chakra and figure out how to use bursts of it at the same time, effectively sticking himself to the tree and using the chakra to break the limbs as well. For now, the Uchiha didn't even try to run at the tree again, he was far too focused on planning his strategy against it.

The Uchiha's eyes opened in a flash and once again, he sprinted towards the tree. He was hoping that the sudden shock to his system would force more chakra into his limbs, giving him an edge when attempting his task. He made sure to utilize proper running form while moving towards the tree, keeping his agility and chakra control in check as he neared his large and wooden training partner. Soon enough, he felt that he would be climbing the tree and stripping it of its dead and decaying branches with fast and properly executed kicks.

On this attempt, Sukotto ran straight up the tree as if it were on the same plane of the ground. He made sure to always keep one foot planted to the bark at all times, swiping his feet at the various dead and dry branches that he spotted. He would also occasionally strike them with his hands, as if they were incoming strikes that he was set on blocking. As he neared the top, the trek became more difficult, however he still managed to take out the highest dead branch on the tree. After accomplishing this, the shinobi ran back down the tree and then vaulted from it onto the hard and rocky surface of the cliffs. Each limb that he had broken then followed his descent, landing on the ground around him. A satisfied smile curled Sukotto's lips and he was certain that his chakra network was finally ready to execute his new taijutsu.

After completing the chakra-based stage of his technique training, Sukotto realized that he was nearly halfway finished. The next level that he had to complete involved creating the kata of his new taijutsu. While normally it would take years and years to properly develop a taijutsu's kata, Sukotto already had a pretty clear idea about what he wanted to include in it. Additionally, he was basing it on the kata of the clan that he had researched about to come up with his new form. Without any further adieu, the Uchiha took a comfortable stance and began visualizing what the martial arts dance would include.

In his eagerness to begin, Sukotto's mind went on a chaotic cycle of imagining many strikes and blocks at once. However, he wasn't keeping them clear and that made it difficult to sort them into any organized order. He took a deep breath of the cool winter air and attempted to restart his thought process, hoping that the first sequence of taijutsu techniques would come to him quickly.

The next time around, Sukotto closed his eyes and moved his arms and legs in the motions that he visualized in his mind. He figured that this would force him to slow down and think of what would be practical moves in various confrontations. The shinobi told and retold himself that he needed to focus on the speed of his strikes and blocks, for that was what he had originally chosen to rely on. Also, he constantly reminded himself that he would likely be using this taijutsu to conserve chakra or if he had little left to use. He hoped that all of these little technical plans would ultimately add up into the taijutsu that he had intended on creating.

As he moved in harmony with his thoughts, the Uchiha realized that the techniques simply seemed to fall together in a combination, as if he had known the kata of Phoenix Form all his life. He made sure to move his arms in swift and simple motions, which would effectively divert incoming strikes without exerting much energy at all. After changing the direction of an attack, a few well placed kicks would easily wear down or finish off an opponent that the Uchiha had managed to hit with a ninjutsu assault.

Since he had began the kata with a few quick blocks, Sukotto decided to follow up with a few kick combinations. In the dream that he had had about the techniques that he was creating, he had seen various high flying moves used against his opponents, combined with sticking his feet to their bodies and using that to pull them into his strikes. While this was the ultimate goal of the jutsu, Sukotto figured that he would need to create a completely separate technique from the taijutsu to utilize this affect. Something about his dream hinted that he started out in the Phoenix form and then activated some sort of ability that produced this chakra sticking.

The follow up kicks that he had implemented into the kata seemed like they would be quite effective after deflecting a few strikes with swift movements of his hands and arms. His mind still slightly lingered on the technique that he would eventually develop after he was finished learning the taijutsu, but instead of allowing it to distract him and keep him from his goal, he was able to plan ahead and develop the kata so that he would be able to implement the sticking kicks into the Phoenix form.

Since there would be a possibility that he would be fighting multiple opponents at once, Sukotto realized that he would need to create more than one direction in the kata. If he didn't do this, there would be a possibility that he would be unprepared to battle multiple opponents in a battle. There were many ways to go about adding more directions to the kata, but Sukotto knew that he would only be able to use a few of them, or else the taijutsu would be far too complicated to use. One of the ways involved using a surprise back kick to hit an opponent when they least expected it; the Uchiha decided that this would be a good place to start.

The shinobi was pleased with the results of his back kick before turning one hundred and eighty degrees to his right, effectively switching directions. It would most definitely take an unsuspectiong opponent off guard. The kick would work well against an enemy sneaking up behind the Uchiha, unaware that their position was actually known by the teen. He wouldn't have much trouble dispatching them after they had taken a solid kick when they weren't prepared to defend against it. Sukotto would follow up with a few more offensive strikes in that direction before switching once again.

Sukotto then imagined two opponents attacking him from his left side. He quickly turned ninety degrees to his left and unleashed a roundhouse kick into the thin air that was present before him. The Uchiha then wanted to unleash a flurry of kicks in a straight line, which would allow him to combat multiple opponents in a single direction. He figured that he would use a combination similar to the ones that he had practiced on his wooden training partner, but wasn't sure how long the combination would need to be, or exactly which kicks would work the best. He decided that he'd experiment again and again until he found something that was both comfortable and efficient.

The shinobi attempted to use a variety of powerful kicks in the direction that he was facing, unfortunately, he felt that they were too slow and wouldn't be very effective for use against opponents who were within a close range of him. He would need to speed up the combination slightly, but not so much that he would end up sacrificing all of his power for speed. A melding of the two was what he was looking for, and in the end, would be the most effective in a combat situation.

Without much more thought, Sukotto repeated the roundhouse kick and ninety degree turn and attempted to form an effective combination once again. As he had previously determined, he needed more speed but couldn't solely rely on that, for at least a little power would be needed to break through an opponent's defenses. With speed, Sukotto could wear down his opponents, however, he didn't have very much endurance himself, so it would be quite hard for him to effectively use that tactic unless he had a little extra power behind his strikes.

Unfortunately, the moves that he decided to use were in fact too fast for their own good. The Uchiha nearly stumbled over for this reason and realized that he had found both extremes of his taijutsu. Too much power was too slow and too much speed was uncontrollable. All he would need to find would be a combination of speed and power that fell between the two extremes that he had mistakenly used.

The Uchiha knew that he was only an attempt or two away from finding a near perfect combination that would effectively deal with multiple opponents in a single direction. He had determined that his taijutsu needed to utilize both speed and power so that it wouldn't be too uncontrolled or slow. Sukotto toyed with the idea of kick-bouncing from opponent to opponent, as one would jump from tree to tree, but he figured that he would safe that for when he developed the sticky kicks that he had dreamed of. He wanted to focus on the basics of the taijutsu and when he got those down, he would develop the more effective aspects.

He took a moment to run the next move in his taijutsu's kata through his mind so that his body would eventually have a path to follow. This would make the combination much easier to create and would also allow him to come up with various applications that his techniques could be used for. He didn't merely want to kick away all of his opponents, for that would be quite difficult. The Uchiha needed to implement much more into each move involved in his taijutsu.

Deciding that the time to think was over, Sukotto once again began to experiment with the moves in his kata. He moved forward while kicking and blocking, imagining himself defending against and attacking opponents as they appeared in front of him. In his future mission to the mainland with a genin and an academy student, he would potentially need to place himself against multiple enemies so that the young pair could escape while he held off the threat. Knowing how to fight against one opponent would be all but useless in a situation such as this.

With the thought of protecting others firmly held in his thought process, Sukotto almost instantly came up with the moves that he would need to use against multiple opponents. A deflection here, a quick yet lethal kick there, and one opponent would be down, another slightly stunned. He would then flap his arms like a bird to protect himself from multiple strikes on each of his sides while performing a quick snap kick against an opponent in front of him, effectively dealing with three at once. To finish the direction, Sukotto stretched his arms outward and waved them in the shape of an infinity symbol, the very symbol that was etched into his headband, and knew that he would be blocking a flurry of strikes at this point. Finally, he finished the direction by kicking three times with each leg at varying levels, planning on taking out a single opponent with each strike.
