Singin' my heart out-
-just for you. Hayden Malissa Harper Hayden watched the guy in the pool area with mild interest. She pulled some of the sesame seeds of her BigMac's bun and popped them in her mouth, which didn't make any sense since they didn't really have any of their own flavor. She took a big bite from the huge burger, then had some fries. Looking in the bag, she saw she really did get a pretty big meal; a BigMac, with a large fry and drink? And two ten piece McNuggets? Dude. She took out a nugget and nibbled on it, returning her attention to the pool. Maybe it wasn't that she recognized the guy, but she recognized his mentality. A playboy, from what she could see. She hated those kinds of people. He was cute though, in a loserish sort of way.
---
Hunter smiled comfortingly at his friend. He wondered why Henry was so timid, but he'd never said anything about it. He left that up to Hayden most of the time. She always thought he was a little gay, and she'd vocalized it a few times, but he'd always denied it. Of course, that didn't mean she wasn't right; no one know for sure, really. "Actually," he said, getting up and going over to the wall with the window, "there's a cot over here. They brought it up before I got here. But [insert the other guy's name here] isn't here yet, so you could take the other bed if you want." While he spoke, he picked up the cot from the floor and propped it up against the wall. and her younger brother Hunter. My keyboard rings...

Henry looked at it for a moment and bit his lip. "I-I dunno... I mean... What if he wants it?" He pressed his back against the wall and slid his way down. He pulled his backpack over and unzipped it. "I can take the cot." He spoke again finally.
He reached into his pack and pulled out a little book of word searches. He flipped it open to the bookmark, which was well past the half-way point in the book. He always had four or five of them on hand, because he tended to be early (he was terrified of arriving late) and needed something to do. All of his bandmates had tripped over him at one point or another, sitting on the floor and working his puzzles.
He looked up before he started, and he found he really liked this position. He could see the door, he could see the TV, and he was out of the way.
And it was the wall closest to Hunter. He almost felt his ears warm up when he let himself think that. He'd never deny it if Hunter asked. But Hunter never pried. He was Henry's best friend, even if he didn't know it. Jason finished up the song, breathing hard and ending with a "Woo!" that nearly rattled the windows of the pool area. He really prided himself on his volume. If he was really trying, he could make himself heard over a small crowd. He laughed with his party-goers. Some guests had joined the fun. A couple of them were even fully dressed!
A couple members of the staff looked at their watches and left sadly, their breaks over. They bid Jason a gloomy farewell, but he laughed at them. "No problem, guys! I'll be here when I can. Just drop by again tomorrow, kay?" He winked and waved them off. They departed into the food court, much happier than they had been a moment ago.
Jason sat himself down and bobbed his eyes to the music, smiling all the time. One of the guests killed his own soda and crushed the can. He was laughing with a friend of his, and tossed the can over his shoulder, where it bounced off of the floor and into the pool. Jason slammed his drink down and was on his feet in an instant. "The freak is wrong with you?!" He exclaimed in a booming voice that froze the room with shock.
He grabbed the man by the hair and pulled him out of his seat. "Someone's going to have to clean that up, you jerk." He growled. He pulled the man by the hair, got behind him, and pushed him on the lower back. "Might as well be you." He shoved the man into the pool, headfirst and fully clothed.

Singin' my heart out-
-just for you. Hayden Malissa Harper There was apparently some commotion in the pool area. Hayden grabbed her drink and rushed over to the door. Pulling it open, she leaned against the door frame and called, "Oi!" She waited until she had people's attention before continuing. "I don't care what he did, there was no reason to ruin the dude's hair like that." Taking a sip from the cup, she smiled to herself. That was the only reason she was going to give for her butting in, and she couldn't wait to see their reactions.
---
Hunter shrugged and fell back onto his bed, flipping through TV channels. There wasn't really much on, so he turned to Henry. "Is there anything you wanna watch? If not I'm gonna find Spongebob." He grinned to himself. Hayden always smacked him when he suggested that, but he knew she loved the show, too. {{Not much to do here.}} and her younger brother Hunter. My keyboard rings...

Henry looked up from his book again. "Nah, Spongebob's fine." He spoke quickly. He glanced at the TV and then back down at his book. By the time he managed to get the pencil out of his backpack's pocket, he had already found six words, and his pencil made little scritching sounds as it flew across the paper. ((I know what you mean. I'mma steal your habit of bolding speech, ok? It's a good idea.))x x x x x x x x x Jason watched Hayden with interest. The man started to pull himself out of the pool, and tossed the can up onto the concrete. "Sorry." He coughed out a mouthful of water. Jason looked back at him and responded with a smile. "As long as you throw that away and don't do that again, there's no problem."
He looked back up at Hayden and waved. "Yeah, that may have been a bit much. Sorry, dude." He laughed. "I just don't deal well with people that make messes. I mean, it's one thing if you have to throw up or something like that. Can't help it. But when you make someone else pick up after you because you're too lazy or irresponsible to be considerate, that's an issue." While he spoke, his focus turned from the man, and more onto Hayden, until he was walking up to her.
"What do you think?" He asked to her directly with a big smile. The smile faded to mild confusion, then back to a slightly smaller, but much warmer smile. "Do I know you from somewhere? You look really familiar."

-just for you. Hayden Malissa Harper {{Go for it. I always thought it was good.}} Hayden raised an eyebrow, but closed her eyes and rolled around, leaning her back on the frame, taking another sip. "I don't know. Makes sense to me, I suppose." She opened one eye to look at him, trying to place his face. "I was thinking the same thing about you, as it happens. Hm. I'm Hayden Harper, by the way."

Hunter sat, eyes glazed over, staring at the TV. Finally he frowned. "Ok, ya know what? I'm starving. Let's go get something to eat." {{And no, I'm not gonna have them bump into each other. Waaay too obvious.}} and her younger brother Hunter. My keyboard rings...

Henry looked up again. "Oh... uh... okay, yeah." He smiled his weak little smile and set up the bookmark again. He set the book carefully by his backpack, and rested the pen on top. "Ready." He breathed as he picked himself up from the floor. He stood with his head half-down and his hands behind his back.x x x x x x x x x Jason burrowed his eyebrows in confusion for a moment. "See, now I know I know you." He sighed. "Harper, Harper, Harper..." His bit his bottom lip and took a step back to take her in again, casting his eyes over her body, her stance...
"Harper! Hayden and Hunter, the Harper kids! You're with the Patriots!" His eyes lit up and he nearly jumped for joy. He grinned avidly and started to laugh. "Hey!" He offered her his hand. "I'm Jason. Jason Jones. Lead singer in Walking on Glass."

Hunter lead the way out the door, turning the TV off on the way. He went for the elevator, digging in his pocket for his wallet. With any luck he'd actually have some cash on him to buy lunch. and her younger brother Hunter. My keyboard rings...

Henry stood patiently beside Hunter. He leaned against the wall and watched him rummage through his pockets. "I... uh... I've got... I have some cash. I could pay." Henry mumbled, staring at his shoes and shuffling his feet a little.x x x x x x x x x x Jason let his hand fall and he gave Hayden a look of mock hurt. "What? No love for the competition?" He gave what she said a second thought. "You know, rumors generally aren't true." The goofiness left his face for just a moment, replaced with an actually serious look of hurt.
"I'm not a slut." He stated bluntly. "If that's what you mean. And just because I like to have fun doesn't mean I'm irresponsible." He smiled again, still sincere, but weaker than before. "Y'know, I actually wanted to take you guys out to dinner. And the offer still stands." He raised his hand before she could speak, expecting a rejection. "Before you turn me down, you could at least talk to your buds, right? Get a free meal out of it if nothing else." He kept his eyes fixated on hers.

Finally she put on a sly smile and said, "Eh, why not? Of course, it depends on where you were gonna take us."

Hunter glanced over at him and smiled. "Heh, thanks, bud." The elevator doors opened and he stepped in, pressing the button to the first floor. "What are you hungry for?" and her younger brother Hunter. My keyboard rings...

Henry moved into the elevator and took a careful hold of one of the safety bars. "Uh... I'm... I don't care. Whatever." He stared out of the glass sides and gasped. "Wow..." He breathed in excitement.x x x x x x x x x x Jason grinned again. "I can take you anywhere you want to go. Though, you guys are the East-Coasters. You should know the places better than I possibly could. Pick any fancy restaurant you know in the area, and I'll get us a reservation. If not tonight, then definitely within a couple of days."
His eyes were honest, if a little clever. He could back up his words and he knew it. He gave a little chuckle. "Normally, I prefer to make friends the old-fashioned way. I hope you won't think less of me for offering this little bribe?" He gave her a wink.
One of the staff girls got up and stormed overto the pair. "Spyke, when are you coming back? Y'know, to us." She looked down on Hayden with obvious distaste, and she didn't bother to hide it. Jason almost started to tell her off, but paused.

Singin' my heart out-
-just for you. Hayden Malissa Harper Hayden opened her mouth to respond when she was rudely cut off. She raised an eyebrow at the girl, and almost glared, but instead she put on a wicked smile, revealing surprising sharp canines. The girl was freaked out? Check. Then she acted very sad and sympathic and said, "Aww, does the wittle fangirl have hurt feelings? Is the rockstar not hanging out with you anymore? Well..." Her demeanor changed instantly, shooting the distaste back at the girl. "Does the phrase, 'Go suck a lemon.' hold any meaning for you?" She flashed that evil smile again and waited to see what she would retaliate with. {{Ha, random original-1980's-TMNT reference! Beat THAT!}}

Hunter watched the little box as it indicated the floors, but when he heard Henry, her turned around. "Whoa. I never realized we were so high up. What a great view..." Henry smiled an honest smile. It wasn't something he did very often. It wasn't something other people ever saw, either. Even now, he was turned away from Hunter, and subconsciously brought up a hand to keep it from reflecting on the glass.
Hayden had caught him smiling, once. After practice once, Hunter had complimented one of his riffs. He managed to hold it in until everyone had left the room for a quick break, but then it broke out and he had to press his back to the wall to keep himself from falling over, he was so giddy. He didn't even notice Hayden walk back in to grab Hunter's wallet. She hadn't told anyone, as far as he knew, but she sure loved to hold it over his head.
Hunter pulled his way from memories and pointed off to one side as the elevator neared the bottom and the pool came into clear view.. "Isn't that Hayden over there?" He asked, rather calmly. "Do... Should we invite her?"x The girl backed off for a moment, shocked. "I..." She gasped. "Ugh!" She finally cried. She reached out and grabbed Jason's arm. "Come on, Jason! The hussy obviously wants to sulk by herself." She put on a pouty face.
Jason turned back to her cooly and held up one finger. "Just a moment, please, Lauren." He cocked his head toward Hayden and smiled a flirty smile. "Sorry about this, honey. If you'll give me just a moment, I'll grab my stuff and we can go discuss our dinner date in a more..." He searched a moment for the right word, and smiled when he found it. "Personal location?" He batted his eyelashes coyly, and the smile became a beam.
The girl, Lauren, loosened her grip on his arm, mouth wide open and eyes frozen in shock. "Oh. My. God. Ew! You're kidding, right, Jason? A girl like her, really?" She cast her look between the two with a look of pure disgust on her face.

Singin' my heart out-
-just for you. Hayden Malissa Harper Hayden had a very self-satisfied smile on her face, taunting the other girl, whose name was apparently Lauren. But suddenly she got very indignant. Yeah, she always dressed like a slob, and she never wore anything girly outside of shows, but she was on no different class level than this girl. Mental level obviously, but class? No way. She chugged the rest of her soda, tossed the cup in a trash can a good ten feet away, and turned back to the girl. "Alright, wait just a dang minute. I wanna stop any of that 'girl like her' nonsense right now! I wasn't gonna pull rank on anyone, but you deserve it. You probably don't recognize me without a mic in my hand, but I'm Hayden Harper, lead vocalist for The Patriots, one of the top bands in the country. No offence, Jason," she added, waving her hand at him dismissively. "And I don't wanna hear anymore of that stuff, got it, babe?" she finished, pronouncing the b's in 'babe' rather sharply. Turning to Jason she said, "I will wait over there," and pointed to where her bag was still sitting. {{I don't think I was clear about this before; in the center of this big open... thing, are lots of leather chairs and couches, with coffee tables covered in magazines around them. Kk?}}
---
Hunter looked at where Henry was pointing. "Hm, she said she was gonna get something to eat when she left earlier, but it doesn't look like she did. But, wait..." He squinted against his own reflection in the glass to just barely see she was with someone else. "I don't think she'll want to be disturbed. Looks like she's with a guy at the moment. Meh, she won't mind if we go without her. She'll get something later if she's actually hungry. You know how she eats when she gets bored." As the doors opened, he left the glass box and started for the food court. and her younger brother Hunter. My keyboard rings...

Henry nodded quickly. He was really hoping Hunter would say that, though he'd never admit it out loud. He followed Hunter quietly, with his hands in his pockets. He looked at the different shops in the food court, but nothing caught his eye. At least, nothing he said out loud. Jason nodded. "Of course." He walked calmly back to the table where the rest of the confused guests were waiting. "Hey, guys." He said with a smile as he stepped into his shoes. "I gotta jet, but you're free to rock it here long as you like." He pulled his dress shirt up over his shoulders.
"Just, last staff member to leave, if you could bring my cooler and my stereo to room 369? Thanks. See ya'll later!" He waved with another jolly smile as he spun around and headed for the door. He brushed by Lauren on his way out. She was still standing by the door, looking shocked and confused.
He barely made it to the Hayden's table before he completely lost it. He threw himself into the chair opposite her sideways, such that his shoulders were on one arm and his legs were draped over the other. From that position, it was easy to flail his legs in the air while he gripped his sides and cackled in glee. "That was so choice!" He hollered.
He stared at Hayden with a cocky grin and laughed out. "For a moment there, I totally thought you were going to belch in her face! That would've been so sweet!" His eyes closed for another laughing fit. "But, 'Go suck a lemon'!? Seriously!? That was great!" His sides hurt from laughter, and he tried to calm himself down.

Singin' my heart out-
-just for you. Hayden Malissa Harper Hayden tried her best to look neutral about her little outburst, but a grin spread across her face anyhow. She pulled a nugget from the bag, and while now only slightly warmish, it was still rather good. "Heh, thanks, I guess. I usually don't talk like that to potential fans, but she was just starting to tick me off..." She glared over at Lauren, who had moved away from the door and sat down, but still looked shocked out of her mind. She turned her attention back to Jason, who, from her angle, seemed to be having problems breathing from his laughter. For some reason, she smiled again. Out of nowhere she raised an eyebrow and posed a question. "Do you have any idea where I got that line?" A plan was forming in the back of her mind, but she wasn't quite sure what it was supposed to accomplish. {{This might seem like a random question, but I do have... at least the basics of a plan. Not totally sure what both end results would be, but I'll figure it out.}}

"Wow, there's lots of just... boring food here. They need to get something decent, something besides all-American greasy fast food. How come there isn't a-... Oh, look. Panda Express."
