Ashe heard Flint's side comment and hid her smile behind the glass. She set the cup down and looked at the others. "What are we going to tell the king? We can't go in without a reason. I know he put out a request, but how are we going about and tell him that we'll take the job?"

Flint grinned to himself at his comment. He knew Ashe had heard it and was surprised Mike did, but he hoped Mike understood what it meant. "Well, lets try something like..." he started, thinking. "How about...'We saw you had some trouble with some really evil things and we decided to come help take out the evil things. Oh, and for the record, there are more evil people out there as well.' " he said simply. "No...too general." he said, thinking again.

Sorrow looked up from her glass and plate of food that had now arrived. She picked up a eating utensil and started to take a bite of her food but then dropped the utensil down on her plate. Her orb like eyes seemed fixated at the hard wooden table. She was remembering something, something she hadn’t remembered much about, her past.
Some long time ago…
“Ryo? What is the matter, you look sad.”
“Huh? Oh I’m fine. It’s just have you ever wondered what life would be like to be human. To not be an angel. Sitting up here in the kingdom of above, where everything is perfect, nothing goes array, everyone is happy.”
“Not really, sure everything is a bit mundane here. But it is perfection, you can’t argue with perfection. There is no hunger, no war, everything is peaceful. Surely you can’t want hunger and war?”
“No I don’t wish for war. I just wish I was human. To have a choice in things I do, to have friends with all sorts of folk.”
“But you have plenty of friends here.”
“You have plenty of friends here, I’m mostly alone. I’ve always been that way. Ever since I grew these wings people have looked down on me. I just to play music, to make everyone who isn’t happy, become happy again.”
“Oh Ryo, you don’t need to play music as long as you are here. As long as you are here. Sorrow…”
The present…
She heard her name Sorrow being called by someone as she fell out of the trance she was in. She looked up from her plate and picked up the utensil again and took a bite. Pretending nothing had happened.
“The king is wise and just. Perhaps he will take kind to a letter? I’m sure if we write him a letter seeking his guidance, he will see the evils of Shiango and Contri, and will lend us some men to help defeat him. I’m sure we could use more people than just the four of us. What do you guys think?”

[man, I was like "when will they post", and then BOOM, posts aplenty!]
Mike slapped his hand down on the table, not too hard to make a loud noise, but just enough to give the plates a jump. "I say I go into my..." he looked around, seeing that a few people had glanced over to him "my 'form' and cause a ruckus. We put on a show and you guy's drive me off, I show up like I am now, and we all go to the king. Surely he'd think you were all superior warriors and gladly lend you all the help you need. A little show is all it would take, no casualties."
Mike wasn't exactly fond of his plan. He didn't like playing the evil villian part. Nero Angelo was a hero to everyone around him. He didn't want to stain his name in the most populated capital in the land. Rumors would spread fast, and those who liked him would hate him quickly. But he needed to find out his past, and he felt as those these three friends could help him along the way. So he'd do anything to remember, anything necessary.

[Meh, I get writers block easily when I can't figure out how to continue my characters end of a story.] ----- Flint shook his head. "Mike, remember...we want the king on our side. Remember the evil villains we are supposed to kill?" he asked casually. "What would he think when a rampaging...thing, goes on a rampage, causing a huge bit of chaos? Probably that you did it, and he would send his guards after you, we would have trouble getting to him, and if he did, we would be sent to kill you." He shook his head again. "No, we need to approach this as simply as possible. Walk up to him. And no...things." he said, pointing to Mike.

((Same here))
Ashe shook her head. "I'm with Flint. We need to kill Contri and his boss, not you"

[Aw come on now, it's roleplaying. I just make things up as I go along. Like now.]
Mike leaned in close, so the other people in the inn would not hear him whispering. "Look, no one can tell that I'm...that thing, and they've been exposed to it twice, hell, I chased people for the love of all that is holy! Nero takes off for a little while, I come back using a cover story for getting supplies, and go see the king. If he does send you guys to go kill...him, go looking. There's no way he can be found if I dont transform, and I'm as lethal in this form as that one." Mike did have a solid point. As long as he was human, Nero didn't exist. Then again, he wasn't too sure about his own existance.
"And if this guy's not in the listening mood...I can change that quickly." Mike said with a smile as he patted the top of his sword. It spoke many words, and most of them seemed to say "Goodbye".

"Did I not make my point clear?" Flint said quietly, also getting closer. "Mike. If you go as Nero, and you go on a rampage while we see the king about taking out the evil in his lands...what do you think's going to be our first target?" he asked. "You. A demon terrorizing his own capital? We wont have a chance to take out Contri because we're too busy on what we know is a wild goose chase for your head." he added. He shook his head at Mike touching his sword. "And we want his help, not his funeral." he finished.

Ashe stood up and placed her palms in front of Mike and Flint's faces. "Enough. Mike, while your idea is a good one, we can't use it. As I said earlier, I agree with Flint. I would rather you fight by my side that against you." She sat back down. "Sorrow's is good, but it may take a few days for the King to get the letter..." She leaned back and closed her eyes. A few seconds later she sat back up and a spark lit her eyes. "I have an idea! Two to be exact. 1) Flint and I try and learn a little about the situation by sneaking into the castle and posing as workers. The staff are usually disposed to gossip of the higher ups. We can use that knowledge as leverage when we actually talk to the man. 2) If the first plan doesn't really work, I can use some of my connections to convince the King." Here she hushed her voice so that only the four of them can hear her. "I never mentioned this till now, but my father is the King of the Wind Dragons. We don't deal much with Human affairs, but I remember as a hatchling that the we did visit the King for a banquet of some sort. I'm sure I can get my father to speak to the King on our behalf."

"You're what?" Flint said, a little too loudly. Well, he was surprised. "You're royalty? Wow...that's actually kind of cool." he added in a quieter voice. "I like your plans...and I think I found a way to get just a little closer to the king..." he said, looking at Sorrow. "Sorrow...hit me with some lute music, will ya?" he asked innocently, not giving away his plan just yet.

“Huh? Oh sure.”
Sorrow looked up from her half eaten plate and pulled her lute over her shoulder, she scooted the chain back just enough so she could play and started playing a few cords. She obliged quickly because she was interested in what Flint had to say. All of the ideas brought up were interesting to her. Especially Ashe’s plan to sneak into the king’s court disguised. If the group were to have any problems getting in to see the kin then sneaking in might be a good plan of action.

As Sorrow played the lute, Flint pretended to be talking to the King, who in fact was Mike. "And you see Sir, she is quite the accomplished bard. Taught her meself. We both need a job, Sir. Yes Sir, I can play meself. You'll hire us? Excellent! Thank you milord." And with that, he shook an imaginary hand. "Sorry, if that was a little complicated. The more, the merrier, as they say. My plan is...if we can get two of us into the castle...how about get three, or four, into the castle, and one close to the king? If Sorrow could get hired as a bard or something for the King, then we could make it work for us." he explained. "Now we need something for you to do, Mike..." he said, looking at him. "How about you go with Sorrow to the King and present yourself as her assistant and husband, or fiancé, or something." he added. Yeah, that whole line was just an excuse for Flint to poke fun at their actions around each other.

Ashe blushed a bit at Flint's outburst. "I didn't want anyone to know. Not unless it was necessary," she spoke softly. After Flint explained his idea she nodded, suppressing a smile at Flint's role for Mike. "I can go as a dancer," Ashe added with a twinkle in her eye. She was have fun with this idea.

Mike gave Flint a confused look before giving a slightly amused smile as he realized what he was doing. The guy had a good imagination, and was quite good at talking his way through any situation. In any group that was a useful skill. Mike nodded slightly at Flint's idea of Sorrow getting hired as a bard for the king. Her music was beautiful, almost hypnotic, and he was sure she'd be hired for sure. He smiled wider as he thought about getting paid. He still had enough gold and jewels to stay in this inn for another year or two, but more gold meant more supplies, something they would need sooner or later.
And then Flint had to question how Mike would get in. He thought about just transforming and sneeking into a tower. He was stealthy and quick, and he'd be able to make sure no one saw him. But when Flint suggested he would be Sorrow's husband, Mike's eyes nearly widened past his skull. He was sure he was blushing a little bit, hopefully not enough to be noticeable. He had to say something quick before the other's caught on.
"Sound's like a p-plAn!" Damn, his voice cracked and he stuttered. He was in panic mode now, but he tried to calm himself back down. His eyes flashed to Sorrow, and then darted back, now knowing full well that he was going to turn bright red, and there was no escape from the room yet.
