Kieran smiled a goofy smile and scratched one of his mittened ears. "Yeah; I've never been much of a shy guy; I like being in the thick of things, especially when there's mischief to be had. I like having fun, and girls.....well, they're playmates too, just like guys." ^^

Sabrina laughed. "I guess we are. And then we aren't." She winked and then batted her eyes at him as a joke. Then caused her to laugh again. She shook her head and looked back at Kieran once she was done laughing.

Kieran laughed, but it came out a bit squeaky, and he turned slightly pink where his face was white. "Well, I know you aren't EXACTLY like guys; you sometimes have different ideas of fun; some of 'em are just plain wierd, but at any rate, you girls can be just as fun to hang around as guys are."

Sabrina smiled. "I know what you mean. I had only brothers growing up. So, yeah I guess I can see that." Now that her parents had more stones where were sisters, not that she had me them yet.

"Really?" Kieran wondered for a minute, unknowingly thinking something similar to Sabrina. "I have another brother and a sister, but I haven't seen them in a long time. They're with my mother, that's all I know. I wonder where they are......" He looked slightly uncomfortable. "I know my other brother Azra really didn't seem to like me, and I admit I was kind of a pest, but now I sort of wish we had gotten along better."

"I haven't' seen my family in a while. I loved being around all of them so sometimes I hate the quiet. I'm sure they are all off having fun in whatever they are doing. Your's too." Sabrina smiled to the other and then nodded.

"You really think so?" Kieran looked hopeful. "I really miss my sister and would love it if she was okay and having fun. I wish there was a way to know for sure though....." He brightened suddenly and looked at Sabrina. "Hey, do you think you could do some sort of magic and we'd be able to find out if she's okay?"

"Um...ah, sure." Sabrina nodded thought not really sure she could do something like that. Her hat could do basic things. Sabrina hadn't really ever tried anything like that. The female pulled off her hat and told it. "Show me if his sister is okay."

Kieran craned his neck to look at the hat, peering into the black hole. "Am I supposed to look in it, or something?" He tried to look harder, but only succeeded in nearly sticking his nose inside the hat. He pulled his head back quickly; he didn't want his nose travelling across the clearing or turning into something weird; he knew a thing or two about magic hats and what happens to stuff put in them.
"I don't see anything. Is it working?"

Sabrina looked back at the hat. "Um...it takes a second to ah, warm up." She nodded to the male before waving her paws over the hat. Soon she did see something. She wasn't sure what it was or if that's what they wanted.

Following Sabrina's gaze, Kieran looked down into the hat, squinting his eyes. "Hats need to warm up? That's kinda funny....." He looked down and gasped as he saw an unmistakeable blob of white and orchid. "That looks like my sister! But what's she doing?" He prodded the hat with a paw. "Does it have a focus?"

Sabrina looked to the hat. "Um...bring the light to this girl, focus in without a swirl." She tried a nice rhyming spell to see if that would work. It seemed to as now you could see it a lot better.

Peering in deeper, Kieran's face lit up with excitement as he saw his sister more clearly, but then his smile faded as he continued to look. "I see her alright, but she doesn't look happy or sad, and she doesn't seem to be doing a lot......what does that mean, I wonder? I hope she isn't trapped somewhere....." He looked at Sabrina anxiously.

Sabrina looked at the image. "I really don't know. The hat shows what it shows it's up to you to determine what it means." She didn't mean to sound so cryptic, but she figured that was what the hat did.

Frustrated, Kieran almost yelled into the hat to try and get the image of his sister to respond. Instead, he tried to look harder, but instead of becoming even more clear, the image flickered once like a TV with bad reception, then completely vanished. "Hey!" he exclaimed, but the image didn't reappear. Looking sulky, Kieran slumped to the snow. "Well.....at least I know she isn't hurt or anything."
