Syd slumped atop of Calum, and then slid off, but sat on the ground next to the sleeping bag. He sniffled, staring at the ground.

He frowned and nudged Sydney towards the sleeping bag. Believing Sydney to be ill, he wished for him to sleep.

Sydney twitched, and then flopped on the sleeping bag, assuming a slight fetal position and blankly staring ahead at air.

A growl frustration rumbled out as he stared down at Sydney. He was not a cuddler, and did not know how to handle this. Not like this anyways.
He sighed and closed his eyes. The sound of bones popping and shifting echoed through the cave as he reverted to Calum's normal form.

An ear flicked at the sound of bones popping and he looked up, his eyes widening as he watched curiously.

Once he had returned to Calum's form, he shifted. He much preferred his own form to this one, this one made him feel weak. With his tail swishing behind him, he flexed and wiggles his fingers. Adjusting to how they felt.
Once satisfied that he knew how everything worked, he looked down at Sydney with eyes that were still a deep black. In a growling voice, much deeper than his normal one, he asked, "Better?"

Sydney shrunk back as he looked him over, and he shrugged, staring to feel woozy and drunk.

Another growl worked it's way out, this one of irritation. He searched his mind to find the words he would need. "Not...going to...hurt...Sydney."
He reached out a hand.

He blinked, staring at the hand. His hand timidly reached up and took Calum's.

He let out a purring growl of approval as he linked his fingers with Sydney's. He leaned down to nuzzle his mate and crooned.

He sniffled, staring at their hands for a moment before squeezing Calum's. He reached up and wrapped his other arm around him, and he closed his eyes, burying his face in Calum's neck.

He tensed for a moment, trying to recall what his other half would do in situations like this. Slowly and awkwardly, he brought his other arm up to wrap around Sydney.

He shuddered, still feeling an immense amount of guilt, but, for the moment, he was indeed comforted by his love. He kept perfectly still and completely silent, except for a few sniffles, for he was still crying, despite being embarrassed about it.

He turned his head to kiss the top of Sydney's, then nuzzled at it. "...Sydney..."
