Raale also laughed at Raale's comment. He often had a strange sense of humor. Taking a bite of food after Falkonin finished his second comment, Raale nodded reluctently. He had to hurry to keep up with the Aiel, but this did not suprise him. I'm going to have to soften this one up a bit. Only Warders should be this stiff and cold, the Arafellin thought with a smile.

The aielman quickly wrote a note and placed it under the M'hael's door so that he would know what is going on. Afterwards Falkonin led Raale towards the soldier dormitories. After entering his own room Falkonin turned towards a bed that had not been slept in. "This will be your bed for the night, and most likely for your stay as a soldier." With that Falkonin went and sat in a meditative stance on a groundcloth that had been laid on the floor. The bed that had been his was tipped on its side so it was out of the way.

Raale sat down on his bed, and embrased ki'do. A thought suddenly entered his mind, one that he could not burn so easily. That bloody Cirithil used to meditate like that! The thought eventually did burn, but tension was thick in the air. After a moment he sighed, touching the burn scars on his face. "Falkonin, what do the Aiel believe when it comes to revenge?"

Falkonin sat meditating and did not even open an eye when he responded. "Revenge is a fickle thing. You may take an eye for an eye, but that mans brother will feel he deserves revenge as well. By acting with revenge you just create an ongoing cycle that never ends. It is likely the reason that many of our nations have drift into war. I could almost guarantee it is why we Aiel have been fighting each other since before the breaking. Revenge is not worth it. Though that is my opinion and not that of the Aiel."

"I see," Raale replied quietly. The Aiel's meditation had opened a wound that he thought had healed completely. Cirithil had dissapeared from the Borderlands long ago, and thus he had not been in Raale's mind. Raale was content to return to embracing Ki'do. He did so, ignoring the light that tempted him to saidin. "I shall not let it worry me then. I was being foolish, for I know not if the man even lives anymore."

Falkonin didn't know when he had drift off to sleep in his meditations but it was clear he had. His dreams were vivid and almost seemed to be real, though they drift in and out of one another without complete coherence.

At first he had been a lion, a king of the desert mountains surrounded by his pack. The territory was clearly that of the Shaido and three bodies lay half eaten at his feet. The dream changed and he stood atop a snowy mountain, the cold biting at the exposed skin of his hand and face, though he had been trained not to let it bother him. He was searching for something but didn't know what. The dream changed again, this time he was swimming in the stormy ocean being passed around by the waves as if he were a children's ball. The dream changed again...

Seeing that the man would not respond soon, Raale sighed, reclining on the bed. He folded his hands behind his head, and waited for sleep to come. It did not, however. He eventually gave up, and drew his swords, cleaning and oiling them. He then made sure all of his bells were clean and bright, as well as his clothes clean. He did not pay so much attention to his clothes out of vanity. If a man looked unkept, then others would think him lazy. He would not have that.

A sliver of sun shone from underneath the door. Falkonin snapped his head up and looked over at the man Raale. He appeared to have fallen asleep, though it looked like he had tried to fight it for some time. His swords looked newly shined as well as the bells he wore in his hair like all of the Arafellin.

Falkonin got up, not caring to wake the new recruit. If he didn't manage to wake up, he would feel what it is like to be late for training. Quickly donning the soldier clothes that he had mended to fit more like his customary cadin'sor, he began the walk towards the dining hall, taking it fairly slowly as the sun was just reaching above the horizon.

Raale took little time waking up. He was accustomed to waking with the sun, as he had to always be alert when in the field. He brushed and re-braided his hair, making sure his bells were in place, before moving to the dining hall.

He did not appear to rush, but he had a long stride, and moved quickly. After he got his food, he spotted Falkonin, and sat down next to him. "I apologize if I seem to follow too much, but I am still unfamiliar with the way things work." He took a sip of water before continuing. "Would you mind if I accompany you today?"

Rylean came upon the next part of the mission. Raale...he was dangerous. If he found Cirithil alone....Cirithil likely would not be able to handle that. If he was with his friends...

Rylean came in, with letters from the Arafellin king. They were not given willingly, but it did not matter. Rylean walked to the mess hall. He quickly found Raale. He was with a Aiel, but that did not matter very much. "I see you Aielman. Peace favor your sword Raale of Arafel. You look much like what the king described. He leaned forward. "I apologize for this, but the our king wants you to travel to Tar Valon. There is a port south of Tar Valon. He wishes you to travel there immediately. He has already gotten permission from the leader of the Black Tower." The man nodded, and left. This was easier than planned.

As Rylean left, Falkonin spat in his direction. "He lies to you Arafellin. First he improperly called the M'hael simply 'the leader of the black tower.' What idiot doesn't know that he is only referred to as the M'hael? Second there are many Arafellin, what could be so important that the king need to call back a newly arrived novice from the Tower when there are many others that could better serve him? Third no novice leaves this tower for any reason. Maybe a dedicated for an extreme reason, but no novice. He speaks lies. Whatever is in that letter should be given to the M'hael."

"I was one of the King's most trusted men," Raale replied sullenly. "It shames me that I cannot return to my king when he calls, but you speak truly that I cannot leave. As for the M'hael, the king does not get along with the Black Tower as well as his predecesors. I will admit, though I likely should not here, that many men blame the Gold Hara Din for the fall of our lands prosperity." Raale then smiled, "That's the most I've heard you speak at one time since meeting you. Perhaps, in time, we can grow closer. Now, as I was asking, may I accompany you today, until I learn of my duties?"

A hint of red flushed into the Aiels cheeks at the mention of how he had spoken so much but it was gone so quick that the other man would only be able to question it if he had even seen it. "Of course you may, first we must go see the M'hael and let him know of your arrival and that letter that is likely phony." Falkonin took off at a quick pace towards the tower, never letting his step slow. Soon they found themselves knocking on the M'haels door.

"What is it?" came a rough bark from behind the door.

Falkonins voice was steady in his response, "A new recruit has come to the tower grounds, M'hael. Also a strange man has just delivered him a letter saying that he had your permission to let this novice leave."

((The M'hael position has been stripped from Fantas as he is not online enough. For now it will remain an NPC until we get more active characters in here. He will be the same leader that helped rebuild the tower. Can't remember his first name off the top of my head, its in the history, but his last name is Fairlorn. We can both control him since he is an NPC))

Raale bowed low, touching his hand to his forehead, heart, and sword. When he rose, "Peace favor you sword, M'hael. I am Raale of Arafel." He hoped his introduction would not be too assuming, nor shame his possbile friend.

The M'hael looked at the Arafellin and the corner of his lips pulled to a tight smile on his worn face. "Ah, yes. We have been expecting you to show up. Stick near Falkonin here, he is one of our greatest Novice's and could be raised to Dedicated any day. Let me see this letter." The M'hael stook out his hand waiting for the letter.
