Ashnard is silly. |

Nils trembled slightly. "... T-thank you, Hikaru..." He took a deep breath, as if to calm himself, then quickly raised his flute to his lips and played, letting the defensive boosts of the song and ring combination go to Fire Dragon, Amelia, Ashnard, Renault, and Bartre.

Amelia turned to the other Revenants now that Nils' situation was neatly resolved. She ran at the nearest one, letting her lance plunge into his neck, and with a swift jerk, ripped it right out. They were zombies, re-animated beasts that had no real life, and the only way to truly defeat them were to rip them to pieces. She plunged her lance into its chest before it could reach her with its claw and ripped it out violently.

Nodding a thanks to Nils, Bartre then ran off to go kill some revenants, cleaving one with his axe that was in his way.

It seemed that even without his blessed equipment, Ashnard was a threat to any who stood in his way. Already have taken down a few, the armored figure began counting his kills. "Four," he said decapitating one with a clean slice. "Five.... Six..." It seemed that no matter how many undead surrounded him, he took them down. In his rampage, however, he failed to notice the lump of snow on the ground racing towards him.

"Kaoru, I'd sooner die then let something like that touch you. But forgive me. You're going to see the side of me I never want you to." The Fire Dragon mutilated the next enemy it saw beyond repair to the point that it most definitely wouldn't move again. And the next one, and the one after that, and that, continuously.

As Amelia finished off more of the swarm, she saw the snow buckling and bubbling right for the Mad King. "Watch out!" She shouted, rushing for him. Amelia plunged her lance into the snow where the lump was at the moment, hoping she had gotten the damn thing in the head like she had aimed to do. She removed the lance and repeated the action.

Bartre looked around for another one to kill, chopping one near him after spinning around.

Nils only nodded, keeping his eyes open and staying close to the Fire Dragon. He would not let himself get caught off-guard again.

Behind Ashnard, a Bael suddenly reared out of the snow and extended six of its giant legs to grab him, to drag him to its fangs and sink them into him, drain him of all his blood and leave his carcass to become a new Revenant. Amelia had missed the head, though a few holes oozing green ichor were visible in the great spider's back.
It really tried to do it. It would have pulled it off if it didn't get a Spear stuck in its head.
A gigantic shadow swept overhead, and then Shastah rushed downward over Ashnard's head. Siegell reached out and grabbed his spear, then swung back toward the rest of the group and beheaded a Revenant that was reaching out to strike Amelia. Shastah was too heavy to land here, and had trouble staying so low, and so Siegell quickly untied himself and jumped down, holding onto his glaive with both hands and joining the group. "You all looked like you could use some help," he chuckled, smirking. "Hope I'm not intruding."

In his onslaught, Ashnard did not realize how close he had gotten to his party. Nor did he notice the new comer. He didn't care though. All that he knew, or cared about, was that there were enemies around and hey had to be annihilated from the face of the world. After all, a king certainly doesn't want undead servants to command. The mad king wanted something a little more lively. "Eleven..." he muttered under his breath.
(Feel like I'm god-modding, but Ashnard is a final boss, so I'm not too sure if it can count are not..)

[[Or maybe Ashnard loses count if MSF wants not so many monsters to have been killed. xD]]
Amelia whirled around as she heard the sound of a huge beast rising up, the slight hiss from the Bael's fang-covered mouth. Her eyes widened. s**t. Those things were huge, hardy, and difficult to kill. And judging by the oozing wounds, she hadn't hit the head. s**t!
Amelia swung at his face, but before she could make contact, another lance speared right down and crashed through the Bael's skull. Her eyes went up to where Shastah was flapping his great wings, and then to Siegell.
Of all the people...! she thought, gritting her teeth. The last time she had been in the same area as the wyvern rider, he had a Hammer in his hands and was beating her around like a tackle dummy.
"...No. You're not," she said, her voice icy as the snow, and turned around. She swung her Killer Lance at a Revenant creeping up on her, effectively slicing it in two.

Bartre turned hearing some voices, and saw Siegell. "Well more allies is always nice." Going back to what he was doing, Bartre attacked another revenant and damaged it severely.

(Final Bosses are Final Bosses for a reason. If you don't kill absolutely everything, it should be fine. Right?)
More moving lumps of snow approached. One of them approaching Nils and Fire Dragon. This was unacceptable. Fire Dragon melted the snow with his breath and topped the Bael. The continuous breath of Flametongue mutilated it shape to the point that one wouldn't know it was a Bael if they hadn't seen it beforehand.
(I need to go sad . Fire Dragon is all yours Nils.)

(( Alright. See you later, FD! ))
Nils blinked. "... Who is that guy?" Judging by Amelia's reaction, he wasn't someone to give respect to. And yet, he did just kill the Bael for them. He shook his head and went back to making sure he wouldn't get surprise-attacked again.
"I won't play for him... Not yet. I need to see if he's actually trustworthy..."

"Oh, good," the masked man replied cheerfully, carving into another Revenant with his glaive as another Bael crawled up out of the snow and started toward them. Siegell whipped around to meet it, parrying its sharp claws with his glaive, meeting its strikes move for move, but the speedy spider was preventing him from getting in close enough to strike. "Amelia!" he yelled, "Or priest-guy, whoever, gimme a hand here!"
