Really Easy Cobbler Recipe!
1 cup of flour 1 cup (or maybe a little less) of sugar Milk as needed 1Tbsp or so of butter or margarine 1 can of fruit (the bigger cans)--pear, peach or apple are nice Cinnamon Nice deep baking dish--you want the cobbler to be deep, not spread thin.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix the flour & sugar in a mixing bowl--put in a little cinnamon if you like. Add milk bit at a time & mix thoroughly; you want the batter to be smooth and flow from your spoon in a smooth stream, neither globbing thickly nor splashing like liquid.
Put the butter into the baking dish and stick it in the oven to melt. Take it out when it is melted, don't let it start frying & browning. Don't spread it or anything. Pour the batter into the baking dish right onto the butter. You don't stir the butter in. Open the can of fruit. You can cut it into bite-size bits if you like. Pour off about 3/4 of the juice into a cup. Spoon the fruit on top of the batter. Distribute it evenly all over the top of the batter. DON'T stir it into the batter, leave it on top. If you don't see any juice on the batter, put a little from the cup on top as well. It will flavor the cobbler & make it moist. If you like, sprinkle a little cinnamon over the top of the cobbler. (Drink any unused fruit juice. smile )
Bake the cobbler uncovered, for maybe 45 minutes (depends on your oven & the altitude where you live, etc.). Keep an eye on it if you can. The batter will rise, cover the fruit, and become a nice, light golden-brown on top. That's when it's done. Enjoy! biggrin

I bought bottles of Mane & Tail shampoo & conditioner yesterday & tonight I tried them out. I heard they were really good on long hair, & as a couple of you know, I do in fact have a downright horse-tail of a ponytail. We shall see if horse shampoo turns out to be better for me than people shampoo.
