Ebby blinked a few times, trying to remember the word. Dartsmoore had made a point to tell her all seven sins and their opposites and made sure she memorized them after a few trips to the facility. "Chastity is opposite of....Lust. Oh! That makes you my Auntie! Yay! Auntie Avis." the title seemed to have a ring to it, at least in her estimation, and now she knew the angel with the pretty mutli-wings was her family. That was so nice to know of!

Avis gave a sound of relief, fanning herself with her many wings when she didn't have to explain further. It would seem that she knew how they were related too... though being an Aunt was a new concept to the angel, "Auntie...? Ahh... yes, maybe in a way." She murmured. J'her was in a way like a sister due to the two of them being the opposites of each other, like the sides of a coin...
She gave a nod, "Auntie Avis is fine." She murmured, smiling brightly. She rather liked that title.

Ebby grinned. "Yay, I have another Auntie." she said happily, and then did something that would surprise the Chastity angel. The cookie tin had been placed on the ground when the lust spawn took her own cookie, so Ebby was able to make her next move without spilling it. Which was, as per her nature, leaping to her feet to give her new 'Auntie' a warm, gentle hug around her shoulders, before reseating herself and grinning up at the older angel.

Avis gave a little squeak sound as she found herself being not only touched but HUGGED in an enthusiastic manner by the little girl. She was rather still during the entirety of the hug before he flushed brightly as Ebony drew back, "Ahh... y-y-yes... thank you." She said, not wanting to make Ebony think she hadn't liked the hug it was just... a huge shock to her system.

Ebony blinked a few times. "Are you okay? I'm sorry, I didn't mean to startle you." the child offered shyly. "Do angels not get much affection? Every one - or former one - I've hugged seemed awkward about it the first time."

Avis blinked a couple times, fighting off a flush before giving a little nod of her head, "Ahh... yes... I am alright, surprised just a little is all." She murmured, giving a bit of a smile when she had recovered from the initial shock of being hugged so suddenly.
"Affection? Here?" Anani asked, sounding surprised herself before giving a snort, "We rank about as high as lab rats..."
"Anani!" Hyacinth said, his tone pleading with his sister to stop that train of thought. He looked over at Ebony, "The people here are just to busy to worry about things like that, we have each other to keep company."
Anani rose to her feet, "You sit around all day talking to a plant Hyacinth!" She snapped before picking up the plant that had been given to her, "I am going back to my room." With that she turned on her heel and stalked off.
Avis and Hyacinth both gave groans, "Don't mind her... shes in one of her moods." Both murmured.

Ebony blinked. "I meant before too...but okay?" she said, shrugging. Curiosity was okay but she wasn't about to go chase down an odd grumpy angel.
Sadly for Anani but possibly comical for everyone reading this, the female ended up walking into someone in an equally not-quite-social mood. Rachel Pateko was out and about, just intent on taking a walk, and ended up being almost bowled over by a grumpy looking female with a potted plant.
"Watch where you're going, lady." he honestly didn't know he was addressing a pissed off angel. He hadn't seen any there before, particularly not any that looked like Anani. He just wanted to walk by. "What is it? Pick on Rachel day or something? First the techs being dicks now some random lady." The second bit was more a lot of grumping to himself than anyone but it was audible none the less.

Anani fluffed up her feathers like a displeased bird, "Watch yourself child, I am not in the mood." The angel snapped, feeling wholly unangelic at the moment... grouchy, moody, and just wanted to get back to her room without problem! Yet here she had to run into someone else that wanted to be bothersome!
She held her head up high, "And I am not 'some lady' I am the reason any of you have jobs in this miserable place, so be greatful." She snapped.
A short distance away both Avis and Hyacinth winced, "She seems to have found someone new to argue with." Avis murmured, shaking her head. There were days she thought her sister needed to take deep, calming breaths...
Hyacinth rose to his feet, "I will go and make sure she doesn't hurt whoever she is arguing with." He murmured, ruffling Ebony's head, "Don't worry, she is just blowing off steam."

Rachel growled a bit, wheeling to yell right back at Anani. "And I'm not in the mood for some b***h to go getting ruffled up at me. Sorry if you've got a ******** stick up your a** lady. You think I like this ******** job? I'm here cause I had to take it as it was the only ******** job that I came close to qualifying for. If I had other options, I wouldn't be in a hell hole like this with a bunch of good for nothing technicians, bitchy broads, and freaky guys who are too damn calm to be natural. Maybe if you'd untighten those damn mummy bandages you've got, they're cutting off circulation to your brain."
Hell if anything he was saying made sense to him or probably anyone else. He didn't even know why he was just going off shouting at some grouchy b***h anyway. Well, at least it was helping him blow off his steam. The closest he'd come to bitching anyone out lately was Santana and maybe a few techs but he couldn't bring himself to do it with them. No clue why it seemed he wanted to just yell at Anani.
Ebony cocked her head to the side and scooted closer to Avis. "Auntie Avis...whoever that is sounds grouchy. I think Hyacinth is the most likely to get hurt out of this..." she whispered, taking a somewhat nervous, childlike hold of the angel's skirts.

Anani tightened her grip on the plant she held, half tempted to throw it at the young man's head, "You have no idea little boy, no idea! I should just..."
"Anani!" Hyacinth cried out to his sister, "Please, let us not fight... he isn't why we are here and..."
"And you still associate with the one who is at fault, Hyacinth. Do not lecture me." She told him before looking over at Rachel once more, "Anywhere is preferable to this place, where I need to stand by and watch as my blood and that of my siblings spawns monsters with the demons here. Saying you have no other options is a lie."
With that she was off with a huff, her ear tufts fluttering in an angry manner.
Hyacinth gave a sighing sound, bowing to Rachel, "Please, forgive my sister... she is... in one of her moods I am sorry." He murmured, feeling a bit guilty that her anger over things that this man wasn't part of had gotten him yelled at. An unfortunate victim of circumstances...
Avis starred down at her, wrapping an arm carefully and hesitantly around her to hug her, "Ahh... he will be alright, he is stronger then he looks." She murmured, though she hoped he would come back soon.

"You're the one who has no idea, lady." Rachel snarled under his breath, glaring at her retreating form, his wings also fluffed, indicating his own agitation.
After she was out of sight and Hyacinth was speaking, Rachel let out a large puffed breath of air, attempting to at least calm his visage and get himself back to his usual masked exterior. "Merf. You shouldn't apologize for her behavior. Just as I probably won't apologize to you for my actions against her." he muttered, shrugging his shoulders a few times so he could try to at least walk again without going into raging fits.
Ebby's ears twitched a bit. Well the fighting at least seemed to have stopped. She breathed a bit with relief. "Hopefully it hasn't gotten worse. Fights seem to be louder than arguments, so if it's quieter, it should be safer, right?"

Hyacinth gave a soft smile, "I don't expect for you to apologize to me it is alright, that is not your job." He said then straightened up, "Can I make it up to you? Invite you to come and sit with us? We, my sister and I, are eating cookies with a friend of ours."
He didn't like confrontations, wanted everyone to be contented as he was feeling of late since Ebony come into his life.
"I am hoping that it means Hyacinth was able to get them to calm down." Avis murmured, tilting her head to the side, her wings giving a little flap in sync with each other.

"No thank you. I am not in any state suitable for company at present. I was just heading back across the gardens for a walk. If you want, I will go with you back to your group, at least." he commented gruffly, sticking his hands into his pockets. Honestly, this guy was nice, but he would much much rather be on his walk alone. After all, if he spent any more time around people, he was liable to bite someone else's head off.
"I think so." Ebby said with a nod, loosening up her hold on the older female's dress. "Dunno why, but I'm sure."

"Ahhh... well... that is where my group is, I hope we won't be a bother to you once we arrive." He said before he followed along after Rachel toward the garden. He felt a little guilty, he and the others had been at the garden first but that this man had to deal with Anani's temperament and then head to the garden to figure out a party he didn't want to be part of was already set up there...
Avis gave a smile when she heard her brother's voice heading back toward them, she blinked a couple times shyly when she saw that he had arrived back in the garden with another male... and no Anani. It had her tightening her hug on Ebony a little bit as thought trying to hide before her niece.

Rachel glanced at Avis, took one look at her, and was pretty much sure he wanted to just keep walking. "Mm, enjoy your party." he commented, waving a bit as he walked past, and just continued on his way.
The sight of Avis - though he was sure he'd never seen the woman in his life and hoped to never see her again - brought up very bad memories of 'home' and he wanted to get the hell away before he started bitching about more things that weren't anyone's problem. The one lady had bumped into him, so he felt it reasonable to at least growl at her a bit, but Avis really had done nothing to him, same as with the child or the one winged man. So, rather than get freaked out or violent for no good reason, Rachel chose to take the safer route and get the hell out of there. Soon as he was a ways out of sight from them, he took off into the air to glide around for a bit. Distance himself as much as he could from them.
Ebony blinked. Well that had surely been strange. "How odd. I wonder who he was." she commented before waving happily up at Hyacinth. "Yay, you're back and safe!"
