Amico nodded at Kiami and moved away from her, he wasn't fond of water users, they put him in a strange place, because he had once been partners with a ice so any form of water disturbed his calm manners. He took a seat in the arena and glanced at the new person inside of the arena, of course he had noted her before that, he had just decided to ignore her, however he knew her very well. He fumbled with his folder for a moment and flipped to the page of the report and acted like he was reading while he watched the two, his breath had returned to normal, along with his muscles. So this way he didn't have act like he was just starring, however he was terrible at such things. ((Good to all those that are going to bed))

Kiami gathered the water pooled at her feet into mist, drawing her focus inward. The mist rose slowly into the air and turned into ice along the ceiling. The ice was slowly growing into a long and very large icicle. This took her some time, preventing the mist from turning to ice instead of water took a great deal of energy. She didn’t skip the step she only had to do it quickly enough and keep the water where she wanted it. Once she was finished making and icicle she began to melt it. Her focus faded and the icicle cracked and fell from the ceiling. Kiami took a step back and watched it shatter on the ground with a sigh. There was no doubt she still controlled it best in its liquid form but she had recently gone from a class c to b because she had improved a great deal.

She let the ice melt away to water and looked over at Tori. She knew Tori probably wouldn't talk to her but she picked up a conversation anyways. “Hey Tori, you’re back too huh?” She smiled. “Need some ice? I gathered water on the way down here I can pass some over if you’d like.” She tried to be friendly; she had all ways been that way with anyone she met, even Tori. She didn’t dare question Tori’s pain or why she was so withdrawn from everyone.

Draqx made a few adjustments on the device and then continued to fire off a few clips, in ifferent patterns, from single short bursts, to controled bursting, to full rate fire.

After about half a dozen clips of each type he was satisfied with the results and after letting the device cool down by putting all the used clips into the deposit feeder, and getting replacements put back in the case, he put the device and its accesories back into the aluminium case.

Draqx closed the case with a clicka nd rengaged the locks and then took off the eye and ear protection. Then that done he shifted his shoulders to help loosen them up and get a better position on the backpack and gave a sigh and spoke to himself, partly to clear histhoughts, and partly to make sure the hearing protection did its job.

'Well thats done with. I guess that is all I can do to prepare for the moment... though it did not say who I was assigned with... oh well, guess I will find out when I find out.'

The thing that made Tori's ice unique, was that she didn't need water to create it. She produced it out of thin air, and she could control whether it melted or not. While Kiami worked on her little ice sicles, Tori set to work with hand to hand combat. It was something she enjoyed the most, though she rarely had the opportunity to do so, because usually her opponents were dead before they came close enough to fight her hand to hand. Her last mission had proved that she needed to work on her hand to hand combat, which was why she could no longer move her arm. She could feel Amico's eyes on her, just as she had felt them when she had first arrived.

He rarely spoke to her, but when he did, for some reason she felt the need to tell him EVERYTHING, which was why she tried to avoid him as much as possible. The comfort he provoked inside of her was... Unnerving. She loosened herself up again, shaking out her wrist before she tapped the ground with two fingers, bringing forth an ice statue in the shape of her last opponent. She had a photographic memory, and she always had a knack for putting her opponents moves and skill into the ice statue, so that she could have a decent match. Once that was done, she took a step back so that her heels were touching the chalk circle, and she moved her right hand in front of her, where she slashed it through the air in one swift motion, a long crystal staff appearing in place of the air, which she then took hold of and prepared for the fight.

Ice could always be fun to play with if you knew how to use it properly. Having heard Kiami's words just barely, she huffed, smiling to herself. "Here, borrow some of mine..." That would be of course if the woman could find a way to mold it. It wasn't easy to mold ice that couldn't be melted on usual terms. The ice statue was the one that made the first move, just as the woman had in her last assignment. Large claws erupted from her fingertips, and Tori dodged the attack with a flip to the side, one handed of course. "Hnn.." She winced a little, still sore from her training the day before, but she gripped her staff firmly and her eyes sparkled. Not this time... While the woman's back was turned, she morphed the staff into a sharp edge, and brought it down with surprising force over the woman's head, splitting her in two.

The woman's final scream of death, the same one that Tori had heard that night, echoed through the arena, and then she was dead. Tori had made a crucial mistake in the actual battle, though... It had raged on for at least an hour, because the woman had been stronger than expected. Tori had let her guard down, she had been too cocky and taken the woman's powers for granted, shaken them off as just a fluke... That had given the woman the opening she needed, and Tori had been caught hard on her left arm and side. The woman had sunk her claws deep into Tori's flesh, tossing her aside like a rag doll, and then advanced on her. Now unable to use her left arm, Tori had, like last time, flipped to the side and cut her in half.

Though she could not feel the muscles in her left arm or control them... She could still feel the pain she had endured that night. It took longer for Tori to heal than most, and so it was crucial that she was never directly hit. Still calm and collected as usual, the ice statue vanished into microscopic ice crystals, and she tossed her staff in Kiami's direction before her heels began to click against the floor once more, and she left the little circle of chalk. Her eyes boldly met with Amico's when she caught him looking at her, his folder his a cover up. It was amusing really, that he had to pretend he wasn't staring.

Inside the training ground, a person was just getting ready to leave. He was dressed in a light yukata made out of wool cloth. It was just for training. The man's hands were hidden beneath metal gloves who's knuckles were decorated with steel claws, elbows only having one spike each. He wore light sandals on his feet. A sword was sheathed and tied to his belt. He was a Japanese man. His eyes were like that of his peoples, his nose was straight and hooked slightly at the end like a hawks. He had hollow cheeks and a strong jaw. He was naturally tanned but as of recently he had slowly lost some of it. His hair was short and it seemed like it was jelled back but it was really tied back into a neat bun.

The man's name was Miyamoto Taro. Taro had just finished a long training session as evident by his deeply rising and sinking chest. His yukata which was somewhat loose was damp at the chest. Immediatly, after an ardous training, Taro took out a ciggarete from a chest pocket and lit it, placing it in his mouth. Thin snakes of smoke left the ciggarete, coiling in the air.

Taro was a senior member of the Syndicate. It felt like a long time that he had joined but several missions later he was 31 and one of the older people there. He was neither teacher nor student (obviously), prefering to hone his skills alone, but in the past he had trained a few pupils.

"Better step out. Don't wanna be hassled for smoking inside," Taro thought.

Kiami caught the staff with one hand. She watched Tori leave her smile fading. Why was Tori so cold hearted? She shrugged off her bother and let her smile return. She pulled on her ear and looked at the staff, slowly melting it down. Tori’s ice took her a lot longer to melt, but she could do it. It was good practice for her to melt down an ice that was resistant to being melted.

She let all of the water pool at her feet; it stayed in a puddle now about knee deep and in a radius of about 5 feet around her. She lifted her hand and the water rose up around her covering her in a thin layer of water like a skin, it moved up until it covered her completely. She kept it there, holding still for a moment then lowered her arm, the water moving with her. The water wobbled in its form as she started to move around. She performed some simple katakana and soon picked up the pace. Her workout of katakana soon became rather elaborate and she was doing round houses with caught falls and flips. Until she landed after a back hand spring and the skin of water around her lost its form and splashed to the ground.

She was breathing hard and she stopped her feet in the puddle bellow her. “Darn it!” She squeaked and worked to return the water into the air as simple moisture in the air and down nearby drains for any left over’s. She was completely dry when she completed the process and made her way over to the bench and sat down. Her breath was still heavy but was slowly calming down. She reached out and grabbed her books and sat quietly for a while.

Amico sighed as Tori left and returned his attention to Kiami, but she was also finishing up. He sighed and stood from his seat, he had other people to give his mission report to, and this of course required him to enter back upstairs. Though he didn’t feel like it of course, he never felt like giving into being a group team member, and his muscles had had enough time to rest. Standing again he took a corner of the training room again, but before he decided to do anything he glanced at Kiami and smirked. “Kiami can you send a request to Lucid, ask him to come down here, I have a few words I would like to speak with him about.” He said without looking from her and then turned his attention back to the square of his corner and the air cracked as the snake like lighting began to wrap around his arms again. He was someone that devoted himself entirely to training his skill.

The snakes wrapped around themselves around him, it rolled about him and upwards extending it self into the air and then back down on Amico, however not one spark zoomed away from him in an attempt to flee or show a sign of unable to control it. He took a couple deep breaths and places his hands together as he chanted, sealing another back up power supply. He swore he had more back up supplies of energy then he would ever need, but one could never be too careful. The snake vanished inside of the spell and Amico took a deep breath, he would wait for Lucid, it wouldn’t hurt to fight a water user.

Lucid smiled a bit as the mist slowly came to an end. It was a nice feeling as the thoughts of teaching, at least for now, were gone. He looked around the square and saw that he had successfully watered all the flowers. Now he had the rest of the day to do whatever he wanted. It was nice that he never really taught all that much. Lucid always had time for missions this way, which he usually enjoyed. Slowly he walked out of the square and off toward the elevators. Kiami has said she was going to go train, there was usually lots of people there, so that seemed like a nice place to go. It was also a good place to talk to students, as well as other teachers to find others for missions.

Lucid entered his personal code before stepping into an elevator. "Lucid Atray; second floor please." He spoke politely as the doors closed and the elevator moved down to the training area. The elevator stopped and the doors opened as he walked out of the elevator and into the training area. It was basically lucky that he had come down the elevator before Kiami would have the chance, to get him.

Tori hadn't left the room. Instead she leaned against a nearby wall, watching as Kiami melted down the staff and molded it. She would never have been able to melt it if Tori hadn't removed her control over it. She decided to give the girl a moment of hope, though, and just watched in silence. She wasn't one to eavesdrop, but she had heard Amico requesting that Kiami retrieve Lucid. This sparked her interest, and she began to wonder if Amico had a new mission set up. She watched as the snakes of power coiled around him. Amico was one of the few people in the Syndicate that knew about Tori's past, and so he was also one of the few that knew the reason behind her unfeeling outter shell.

Clearing her throat, she shifted her hat on her head until it was awkwardly placed, just the way she liked it. Turning on her heel, she moved to go to the elevator and leave the room, probably to find out more about this little mission he was gathering people for. "Oh..." A young girl said as she entered the elevator with Tori, who gave the orders for the ground floor. The young woman stared at her the entire time, huddling against the opposite corner as Tori. Her timid stature really was getting on Tori's nerves, so when the elevator came to a stop, her chocolate eyes finally landed on the girl's trembling form. "I don't bite." She said with a huff. The girl didn't answer, and instead left the chilly atmosphere for the comfort of the fountain outside.

Frowning, Tori stepped out of the elevator, rubbing the back of her neck, she continued to walk across the flower scene, so that she could be by herself, though the people seemed to move out of her way as the temperature cooled, and several began to whisper. Ignoring them, she sat down on a nearby bench, raising an eyebrow when a group of boys grinned at her. What was she supposed to do? Swoon and drop herself at their feet screaming 'take me'? Yeah right... Tori had some self respect. "Might wanna watch where you're going.." She said a little too late, as one of them ran into a pole. She couldn't help the small smile that forced itself onto her pink lips.

"Pay no mind, unless an idiot dies, he won't be cured."

Taro was sitting at the base of a tree with his back to the wood. Large trunks seperated away from him like snakes. A couple of autumn leaves were still hanging onto branches. One of them fell off finally and it landed among several other crunchy golden earth-fellows.

As he spoke, he didn't look at the girl on the bench but he knew what was happening. He knew the girl somewhat and she was by a decade his younger so he spoke to her casually as he cleaned his sword. Taro slid a rag down the blade of the sword, frowning to see new scratches. It was of great importance to keep one's sword in shape. Not only did it improve its quality but one could always tell what kind of man somebody was by their sword. Taro wouldn't have thought it amusing if somebody mistook him for a ruffian because of all the nicks and cuts on his sword. A rag wouldn't wipe those away, he had special oil for that, but at the moment he was just shining it.

"I wonder," Taro stopped for a second to examine the sword, "A bad wife spells a hundred years of bad harvest. Is this so the other way around?" He turned the blade to look at himself in it, seeing his own eyes in the steel. "You tell me." He quickly turned the sword away and looked at Tori finally, an expressionless look on his face.

Draqx done with with the range hefted the aluminium case and started walking towards the elevators. When he got closer he started seeing more students and Draqx headed to the main training room, there he could take a seat and rest the weight of the backpack for a bit while he awaited the next step.

So Draqx walked calmly and took a seat, his pale skin subtling changing under tones and hues, giving his complextion some needed colour as he moved, the additive to the liquid he drank earlyer coming into play.

“Alright, I’ll go get him.” Kiami got to her feet just as Lucid came in. “Well, that was easy, he’s right here Amico.” She walked over to Lucid giving him a big grin. “Guess what?” She seemed very excited, too excited to really even wait for him to respond to her. “We’re going on a mission together. It’s like you know we were going to already.”

She had managed to catch her breath now and was rather bouncy. She really enjoyed going on missions and doing her job. With Lucid coming now she’d have a chance to watch someone in action with similar skills as her own. She wanted to make A class some day and she knew very well she couldn’t do it alone.

Leo walked behind a group of 15, 16 year old boys. Leo was easily mistaken as a 13, 14 year old boy, even though he was turning twenty in 4 months. They turned and looked down at a girl sitting on a bench and began snickering at her. Leo rolled his eyes and slowed down. One of the boys walked into a pole and Leo found himself smiling. He sat down next to Tori, the girl on the bench, and looked around at the flower scene. "Isn't it beautiful? Well, as beautiful as you can get for flowers underground. How are you, dear Victoria?" He asked, all so formally. He adjusted his glasses, but he didn't need them to see Tori. His Z-vision, as he called it, showed her in perfect clearity.

Hearing's Taro's voice hadn't surprised her, even if it was a little unexpected. She was used to being ignored, only because of her intimidating power and icy exterior. "You make no sense sometimes, Taro..." Tori smiled to herself, her gaze drifting over the giggling girls, staring young men, and stubborn groups. She had always felt at home here, and yet she had also felt very out of place.

She didn't feel left out because everyone was in a sense frightened of her, it was just a bit annoying. She hadn't REALLY hurt anyone here, unless you counted that idiot new guy last year that had tried to cop a feel. She had only frozen him for a week, and he had only endured a LITTLE bodily harm. She had shown mercy, sheesh.

Though she wasn't looking at him, she could see the shimmering blade he was polishing, and again she smiled. "Your blade is scratched." She stated simply before she was taken by surprise once more when the boy suddenly sat beside her on the bench. Now THAT was unexpected. For a moment she was about to say something actually nice to him, until those words left his lips. "How are you, dear Victoria?" Sighing, the muscles in her jaw tensed, and she kept her gaze away from him. "Tori." She corrected him. She had always hated her full name. For some reason, it was one of the few things that really set her off.
