Funnily enough, older PS1's are actually superior to newer models; later ones removed certain components.

Mine was a launch model, had the expansion port in the back so i could stick a adapter in which would give it action replay features and allow backups to be played.

Plus the actual GUI when you didn't have a disk in was better IMO, the colored one looked kinda cheep

yeah, I used to have one of those old Explorer FX carts; always good for a laugh.

That's cool. But I never felt the need to use cheats and codes for PS1 games. They were all simple, and fun left as they are.
