"If you don't want it." Ebby replied with a smile. "You're bigger so if you want it, you should probably take it. Bigger kids need more nourishment so they can grow. It was yours anyway."
Dartie smirked from behind her beer can. Kid got along well with people so well. And got along with the most interesting ones too. Most people would probably freak out and try to keep any child of theirs away from Duncan just by the sight of him. But Dartie never would worry about such a thing - she had her ways to ensuring her daughter's safety, and at present this boy was proving no threat anyway.
"Yeah, Mommy is interesting all right. And she scares people a bit, so that keeps the really mean ones from bothering me."

Duncan looked at it for a long moment before he used his fork and knife to hack it into two somewhat even pieces and gave one of them to her, "There we go." He said, after all he'd already eaten a lot more then she had so there was no reason not to share the final slice.
"That's good, would be a shame if you got picked on." He said, she wasn't a bad kid... in fact he rather liked talking to her which seemed strange given the age difference. Maybe it was due to them being from the same place? He had no idea, just that he liked her well enough.

"Thank you." she said, taking the proffered slice and nibbling it a bit.
"Yes is would. Which is why I have to take special care, since this one likes to run off and socialize a lot more than the other three do. Energetic little sprat." the voice of Dartsmoore interjected into the conversation as she leaned against the edge of their booth on Ebony's side, sipping from the silver can in her hand as she spoke.
The woman's tone didn't exactly indicate whether or not she was kidding, but her words weren't aggressive or threatening, and the slightly affectionate smile she gave Ebby as she spoke indicated it was mostly just teasing.
"Mommy, this is Duncan. Duncan, like I said before, that's Mommy."

"It is nice to meet you Ebony's Mom." He said not knowing her name and not about to call her 'Mommy' either since she was in no way related to him. He shifted a bit, wings fluttering behind him. This was... different, aside from his father and some people at the Labs he didn't deal with a lot of older people in such a small group.
Needless to say he was feeling a little unsure of himself... and his yellow eye was starring openly at her, unblinking as ever.

"Dartsmoore." she told him, calmly. The woman wasn't exactly partial to being called 'Ebony's Mom' or really anyone's Mom. It was already awkward enough when her kids called her Mommy.
"Well, Ebby, thank your friend for sharing his food with you and say goodbye. We need to hit the road." the woman said, straightening up and killing the can of beer and tossing it over her shoulder, landing the empty directly in the trash.
"Thank you muchly Duncan." the purple spawn said sweetly, standing up and going around the table to give the older boy a hug around his shoulders. "It was really nice meeting you. I hope to see you again."
And with that, the child wandered out of the building, the silver haired woman trailing slowly after her.

"Woah... I think June would like her." Duncan said, watching as she left, turning to look at the trashcan where she'd thrown the it. He rose to his feet, picking up his trash to throw it away before heading out himself finding his mood to be a little lighter now after talking to Ebony.
