Bishop shook her head firmly " Scouts first then soldiers than civilians. I have to make sure you don't fall into a trap or then you can't protect anyone." The girl grinned " and I have s it was only a few steps ahead of Josh but Bishop lead the rest of the way to where the delicious scent of drinks was coming from. fortunately there wasn't too big a line of people waiting for them at that moment.
Somewhere in the back of her mind Andrea found Bishop's word to strike a chord, she just didn't know w why.

Joshua was confused for a moment, but followed Bishop carefully so he wouldn't fall into any traps. If he fell into traps, he couldn't protect his Mommy. That would be bad.
"Free beverages!" The checker called. "Tonight only!" Thali was next in line. She mentally counted how many were in their group. "We'd like three hot chocolates, with marshmellows, two ciders, and a coffee." She told him.

As they stopped to get drinks Bishop placed the boy behind his mother " Gotta guard from ambushes." She informed him knowingly.
" Make the coffee a triple triple please." Carol said softly while keeping an eye on the kids. Part of her wondered if Bishop was spending a bit too much time watching the history channel. That or she was spending a lot of time listening to the old vetrans talk when they came in and had their huge coffee gathering runs once a week.

Joshua was startled. "Ambushes?" He repeated, looking around. "But I don't have a weapon to protect her!" He was thinking that he might meet a princess in the palace. He wanted to impress her.
Thali nodded, "And make the coffee a triple," she amended. The man at the booth was kind, and had their drinks ready in less than two minutes.
"Here you are." He said, passing them out to their proper owners. How he'd known whose was whose, Thali could never guess.

Bishop frowned, the boy had a point and the girl was decided , when the big gift giving party rolled around she knew exactly what she was giving him for Christmas. " Um just yell and alert us if anyone tries to ambush you." Bishop had her shapeshifting magic and Andrea well Bishop didn't know what Andrea would do but it'd be something. Living in fantasy wasn't always as easy as she thought it would be.
The girl thanked the vendor for her cider and began blowing on the warm liquid to cool it down enough to drink.
Andrea held her hot chocolate with one hand and pointed towards the massive white tops of the snow castle's towers. " That's where we're going right?" It was the only snow castle she could see. It was pretty impressive looking too even from far away.
" Thanks" Carol murmured both to the vendor and Thali before taking a sip of the coffee. It really was a drink from the gods she thought.

Joshua nodded, yelling seemed like a good idea. He thought for a moment. It didn't seem very noble to ask for help. He took his drink from the man and thanked him, smiling. He took a sip, and his tongue was burnt.
Thali saw the expression on his face and giggled. "You know better than to drink it too fast." She said. "Blow on it first." She demonstrated with her own. "Shall we go?" She asked Carol.
