Pan saw Valelldia aproach her wagon and greeted her with a smile. She had been meaning to meet this lady, but her former flu had prevented her from doing so. Right now she was tying some sage together into smudge sticks on the steps of her wagon.

"Hello Valelldia!" She said greeting the mysterious gypsy leader happily. This was quite an honor that he lady had come to see her.

"Greetings, Pandara!" The gypsy rustled up, her skirts swishing about her ankles as she walked through the grass to where the woman was standing on the steps, smudging sage. "I hope you don't mind the intrusion. It's just such a lovely spring day- I thought we might talk some, and I could get to meet you properly."

Pan nodded in agreement, "Yes, it's beautiful out!" She stopped a second to feel the warm breeze upon her skin. "I don't mind, it's no intrusion at all. We are caravan mates right now after all?" Pan hoped that the gypsy leader didn't have any objection to this right now, she was after all assuming this in a sort of way. But Pandara was mentioned in the wagon ordering ceremony.

"We're definitely wagon mates. Sisters, even," Valelldia said with a beaming smile. "All those who are destined to be a part of this family... are called sisters and brothers. Which is why I came, actually. I have to ask for your forgiveness- in being so remiss to coming to see you. ...I know nothing about this sister of mine- and would life very much to." She settled her skirts around her.

"Where are you from? What is your past? How did you find your way here, to us?"

Pan shook her head, "No it's alright, there is no need to apologise at all. I'm just as much to blame as you are, I've just been sick for a while and was preventing myself from giving it to the children and other caravan members."

Pan smiled a bit, a small troubled look at the sudden string of questions. Normally they wouldn't be so hard, to a normal person. But to Pan they hit places in her head she would rather forget about.

"Well obviously my story is a quite unusual one as there aren't many half satyrs running around by themselves selling herbs, their heritage hidden by mere fabrics." Pan gave a troubled smiled, she trusted Valelldia but still it was hard to talk about. "My mother way a human, quite normal and a farmers daughter. She was raised in Enallas, aiding in tending the fields and cattle. She also had a banya bird herself, as that town is practically flying around by them." Her smile brightened thinking about her mother.

"She had a sort of wonderlust waiting to be fulfilled. The banya saw to that, telling her that a mysterious creature awaited her in Twiggle Forest, and magic was there to be found. Going into the forest is forbidden to the humans of Enallas, and she knew that so she tried to ignore her fate for a while. But the pull was too strong, her curiousity too deep, my mother was a prisoner of her own fate and she knew this. I think she was wiser than she lead on. One day, it was too hard to ignore the call of her fate, and the pull of her curiousity. My mother ventured off into the woods with only her horse to aid her.

Well, while in the forest, she fell into a fairy circle and was trapped for a five years, even though it seemed like merely a week for her. That was when she met a satyr, a strage fellow that wooed her heart with fairy magic. She found herself incredibly and completely head over hill with this guy, and slept with him the entire time he was there. She became impregnated later to birth... me"

She seemed happy to relay that part of the story, but more was to follow. "Well, that was the happy part. The sadness follows when my mother was forced to leave the forest and the fairy magic. The satyr knew their worlds were different and that fairy love is never eternal. That he must fulfill his lust with other women. Somehow my mom understood that, but still could never get over him. She found her way back to Enallas where everyone had aged five years but herself. Her parents were furious with her leaving, calling her a whore. She told them the story and they shunned her not wanting to have the wrath of the fae on their farm."

"And that was how it got worse" Pan's eyes held some sadness. "She raised me outside of civilisation, buying a wagon and living as what I think was a prostitute to keep me fed. All she knew was farming, and she couldn't do that without an income. She hoped to someday make enough to start her own farm and to quit the business. It was sad for me to see her so upset, for she was a beautiful and wonderful woman. But her light faded as she had to accept one after the other."

Pan was near tears at this point, "Then she got sick, and couldn't work anymore. I was about 10 at that point and tried to get by. I had just found my gift of talking to plants so was able to find through asking them which ones were helpful to humans. I was able to find some to help my mom along, but at that point I didn't want her to work. I tried to find some to help others, so they could buy them and we could keep fed. I tried to find us food instead of buying it, to help get by with just a small amount of money."

Pan started crying, almost unable to continue on. "I tried but I couldn't save her. There as no cure for the illness she had, no herb that could help and I think she just wanted out of her life." Her eyes grew cold, "My mother died, I was eleven then and went off on my own, wandering around collecting herbs to get by just like I was with her. I found my place in life at an early age and just followed that place until I came amoungst you." She stopped looking at Valelldia, "I was overjoyed because I thought I would be alone forever, but to find a family... it's like having my mother back. I know she would be happy with the road I chose."

The woman may have stopped looking at her- but Valelldia's eyes had never left the form of the strong, yet fragile half-satyr who recounted her life's story- and that of her mother's- with such poignancy. Unbidden, Val slid forward to encircle Pan in her arms.

"Even without meeting your mother... I can tell you're just like her. Passionate and strong, fragile and driven by a greater purpose." She pulled back, and brushed a bit of hair out of the woman's face. "I'm so glad you found us."

Pandara was a little surprised to be embraced by the gypsy woman, comming out of a daze memory had held to find her there.

"Thanks." She hugged back and looked up as the woman gently brushed the orange hair out of her blue eyes. "I'm glad I found you too. But I must admit, the magic here isn't something I'm used to." Pan wiped a tear out of her eye, getting some of that old hurt out was good every now and again. Pandara hated to keep things bottled up.

"Didn't you ever come across magic, travelling with your mother? Surely, you must have crossed path with some extension of the meij that lives in this wide land."

Somehow the mention of the meij had a familiar ring to it. "I have... come across many types of magic. But nothing where items become children. But the meij, it sounds familiar." Pan gave Val a confused look, as if she was piecing together parts of a puzzle.

The young rabbit girl sat on the floor of the wagon, painting some goose eggs. Once they were dry and she was content with their appearance, she placed them in white cloth bags that her mother made. Opening the door, she snuck out into the night and secretly delivered each egg.
