Zywynran smiled graciously and inclined his head in polite acknowledgment of the praise from McFlaust and the stranger who revealed himself as Captain Gerard Havicson. He demurred in the presence of the captain, lowering his eyes and idly plucking out a very soft tune that would not obscure the man's words. Of course he was very interested in what the man had to say, but to appear too eager did not currently suit his mood. Still, after quiet had settled long enough for his liking, Zywynran spoke up. "I do believe these people are quite eager to begin without further preamble, Captain Havicson." After all, even the most dramatic of pauses had to end sometime or the story became dull.

((Hi all, thanks for letting me in ze RP :3 Oh and loved the story dude you should write stoweys! 3nodding ))

Kale trudged through the snow slowly as his legs dragged him along a unseen path under the snow. Noticing a noise like that of a wood pecker pecking at a tin roof Kale looked around, only to see that the noise erupted from his own teeth. 'Bloody hell its cold, I knew I should have worn fur instead of plate...' Kale thought to himself as convulsions and shivers slipped snow and sleet of the plate armor he wore. Looking up to see if he could spot any light he hit his head quite hard and quite loud on a wood door with a flapping carved wooden sign with the writing 'Green Dragon Inn.' 'YES!' Kale thought to himself with glee as he took one shaking arm and pushed the door open with a shaking frost encrusted plate glove.

Flinging the door open into the warm cozy inn Kale thanked the god's and dropped his Claymore and shield at the door and fell onto the warm wooden floor with exhaustion and happiness.

Gerard was about to speak to Zywynran as a man in full armer stumbled through the door and onto the floor, sheding armor and weapons as he went into a heap. He waved a few men over to help him up. "Ok, as I was going to say, good bard, is that you appear to be right, in which case, there is a gentleman in the back of the room with a peice of parchment. Please, sign up with him, and then meet me at the garrison for your assignments and groupings, first thing tomorrow morning. Well met, all!" Gerard left the Green Dragon Inn, followed immediately by the man in the hood.

Bright blue green eyes looked out from a hooded cloak. A shiver ran from her thin body, half hating being half daemon at this point. Constantly she'd been caught in bad cold weather, and constantly she turned to her daemon form. She'd hoped it would warm her, but alas that it was only appearance. A fanged mouth grimaced against the cold, yet using her nose, she knew she was at least ten minutes away from warmth.

Her appearance much much changed at this moment in her futile attempt to get warmer. Her normally showy white hair was a rich blue-white color that ran clear to her thighs. The pale skin was changed to a sun-kissed tan that sparkled as if lighted by diamonds. Emerald green was changed to a vibrant blue-green like the ocean. Her thin body was a little fuller, including her chest, but hey, she liked it. She let out a triumphant shout against the wind at finding the door.

She opened it and sighed happily. Immediately her daemon side sucked at the warmth, creating a warm tingling sensation through her body. She wiggled joyfully and took off her cloak. There wasn't much of an outfit on her body, showing she was much too proud of herself. Kchelach looked around at the competition and at the men she might like as she walked towards the fire, tiptoe-ing around the fallen knight. She smiled evily when she saw the half-elf, he certainly was handsome, if a bit flamboyant. Sitting on the hearth, she turned her back to the fire, a nearly blistering heat for mortals.

Kchelach shamelessly charmed a drunken man to give her his plate of food. She happily ate it without a thought of guilt. She swung her legs and wondered what was going on. She sent out a general wave of seduction, mainly aimed at the half-elf. She didn't care if half the people turned towards her, all she cared was that she knew what was going on. She heard the innkeep and looked towards the back. She shrugged and figured she'd sign up if the half-elf did.

Kale laid there on the ground as a man followed by another man left the inn. Then rolling over to ready himself up a woman in revealing clothes opened the door and tip toed around him. Standing up with a creaking noise of metal against metal Kale gathered the kite shield with a gold plated cross printed on the front, and easily lifted the rather large claymore and placed it into a metal sheath upon his back making a noise that seemed like singing.

Trudging over to the bar Kale sat himself down slowly at a bar stool, and pulled from his red cloak a leather bag that gave a slight jingling noise and opened it up by pulling two drawstrings and looking inside to find one bent silver coin, and 5 copper coins. Breathing a heavy sigh he put the bag away and pulled out his rosary and asked in a low voice ''This is what you get for taking a vow of poverty Kale my boy, not even enough money for accommodations..." Then he began to pray in the elfen language a different prayer each bead.

Hope had already noticed the guy in back and, as the young kid didn't seem inclined to reply, had started that way before the knight finished speaking. Because of this, she was one of the first to sign up. Gratefully she slung her gear over her shoulder and grabbed a barmaid to show her to a room.

After giving the girl instructions to wake her early, Hope locked the door and checked the staw stuffed palatte for fleas. Being satisfied on that account, she stowed her gear against the wall, laid up against it, and went to sleep immediately.

Still sitting atop his perch by the hearth, Zywynran could not help but notice the entrance of a rather scantily clad woman. It was a marvel and a mystery how she had managed to survive the cold of this place dressed in such a manner. And yet it would seem she was far from immune to the inhospitable weather; the woman sat upon the hearth quite a bit closer than Zywynran would care to. Bemused, but not overly interested in the stranger, Zywynran turned away again to listen to Gerard's last words before departing. He then rose from his seat, but did not get far. He found his eyes drawn to the woman at the fire again. He could not begin to imagine why, but he was... attracted. Mentally shaking off the feeling, Zywynran strode toward the back of the room. Imagine that, a bard hiding in the shadowy recesses of the back of a room! For shame! But at least he had finally come to a decision; he would sign up after all.
((Oh, forgot to say; thanks for the compliment! I was making it up as I went along, so I'm glad it turned out alright.))

[[Ooc: Ack! Amarella, could you change your font color to green,
I think you missed. Thanks!]]

Mcflaust went to the praying knight. "Umm . . . Sir?" He said, rather afraid of offending the knight. "Begging your pardon, but, rooms are free for those who sign up." He pointed to the back of the room. "And food is only but a few coppers, you've more than enough there." He pointed to the pitiful pile of coins.

The part of the room closest to the scantly clad woman was so focused on her, they did not notice the bard leave.

Kchelach liked the attention, and was very happy when the bard looked over at her. Leaping lightly off of the hearth, she went to the back of the room to sign up for whatever the rest were there for. With a sway of her hips past the chairs and tables, she ignored the rest of the men. She had her eyes on one target. She signed her name, tiny and graceful, just like herself, pretending to even ignore the bard. Putting her cloak back on, she headed for a random table to charm a man out of his drink. Giggling a small giggle, she headed back towards the fire. She knew the drink would do nothing for her, as daemonic alcohol was much stronger than anything here, but she would make do. Her greenish cat eyes kept their vigil on the bard; she was making him her game for this adventure.

Zywynran remained by the signup table to discreetly watch as the dainty, but alluring woman who had sat by the fire approached to give her name. Woman indeed, Zywynran reminded himself as he looked upon her features. While he was surely a living example that not everyone looked their age, he certainly had no reason to assume she was any older than about eighteen. Barely a woman at all and certainly too young for him. Why was he noticing this only now? He was starting to act every bit as intoxicated as the poor fellow who'd attacked his illusion!

Though in his defense, this woman- this girl- seemed to have that effect on most of the male patrons. Not one seemed able to take his eyes off of her. As he watched, she expended barely an effort at all to lift a drink right from the fingertips of one besotted fellow. The storyteller in him imagined all sorts of possible explanations, all of which involved some sort of magic or trickery. But Zywynran was also a realist, much to his own dismay. The simple truth seemed to be a half dressed woman practically advertising herself in a roomful of drunken men was bound to get attention. He rather imagined if the shapely redhead who'd signed up first stripped to her underthings and started to strut about, she would get much the same reaction.

This conclusion, however incorrect, led Zywynran to shake his head and look away, feigning disinterest. He ought to know better than to fall into the snare of such a woman. And yet, he still found it difficult to look away from her. He needed some distraction! Moving toward the center of the room, Zywynran began to play a popular tune he'd learned in his travels. "Come now, friends, and dance! No need to be shy." Zywynran himself, far from being shy in the least, was of course the first to break into dance.

Kchelach purred lightly as she nursed her drink. She was very happy that she had so completely ensnared the half-elf. Giggling, she thought of how he couldn't keep his eyes off of her. Of course they would look for other explanations, but she now had on her cloak, her clothing couldn't be an excuse.

Kchelach bounced over to dance with the half elf, swaying and skipping along the way. She touched the bells in his hair lightly with a coy smile. Giggling, she said, "I like your hair very much stranger. Perhaps I'll ask for you to do the same to mine." She giggled and swayed in time to the music, kind of like a belly dance, only more graceful if possible. She also purposely sent out waves of seduction and charm towards him. Keeping her cloak on only helped to accent her movements as she turned her back to him and bent over to look at him upside down. "I'm Beauty by the way. Kchelach really, but Beauty is a rough translation." She flipped back up right and purred as she began to dance once again.

Zywynran found himself not at all surprised that the second person to join the dance was the very woman he'd been trying to avoid watching. He smiled at her as she touched the bells in his hair. "I hardly think you require such accessories to draw attention to yourself. You seem to do quite well already. But if the lady wishes, I am sure that I might oblige." Zywynran matched his style to hers, swaying and undulating. He did enjoy a good dance and had to admit she was very pleasing as a partner. "My name is Zywynran. I am afraid to translate it would be even more of a mouthful."

Beauty giggled and continued dancing, "I would love ribbons in my hair. My hair is so plain as it is, just a snowy white," she said wistfully. She giggled a little more, "Pink and green and cocoa colors together all in the same place together make for a strange union." She pointed out some of the colors in his hair as she danced around him in a circle, touching his hair as she went. "Long hair for one so tall, only a few of even us would grow it that long," she said touching his hair one last time.
